Address
Neighbourhood: Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

Learn all about Antoni Gaudi by visiting this museum
If you can only go to one additional site outside of La Sagrada Familia, this is it. The audio tour provides all the history of why Antoni Gaudi designed the way he did. I have a whole new appreciation for his work.

Like a house you'd imagine in a fantasy story
This was right down the street from our hotel but I'm glad we had a guide because we were able to skip the long line outside and even if you have to wait it's worth it. The house itself is downright whimsical but the immersive experiences inside were wonderful and you want to make sure you see them. Gaudi didn't like straight lines because he felt they didn't exist in nature and he loved a lot of light and you'll really see that in the designs at Casa Battlo. He also had a way of working with tiles. You definitely want to go up to the roof - the dragon's back. The whole structure is like something you'd imagine in a fantasy story and it's worth a visit.

    A must do in Barcelona
Really incredible museum and house. Even at the earliest times it gets really crowded but id say its worth it. You wont be let in until the time on your ticket so if you show up early you’ll be standing im the HOT sun for a while.

    Truly a Magic night
We found out about the Magic night - casa visit+concert on the roofetop, and bought the ticket online, they offer you different packages, ones include skiping the line, having drinks, ... you decied what is the best fit for you. The visit is nicely structured, the audioguide guides you smothly. The arhitecture is breathtaking At the end of it, you reach the terase, where the concert takes place and the bar is. The atmosphere gives you a warm and unique experience

    The best of Gaudi houses
Casa Batllo is the best of Gaudi's private houses. Though expensive, it was worth it. The interior is as amazing as the exterior. The blue marine theme inside is magical. Buy tickets online to save money. Backpacks could be left for free in the locker room (you would need 1 euro which would be returned to you).

    Major Modernista Site
One of the most outstanding Modernista design buildings in BCN. Since it is along the Passeig de Gracia, a very wide street with wide sidewalks, it is well-positioned to view and to take photos. This is a major tourist site and there area always big crowds around, except late at night.

    Gaudi’s residential gem
I’ve loved this idiosyncratic building ever since I first saw a picture of it in a modernist architecture book. So it was quite a thrill to see it in person. Gaudi’s unmistakable flourish, quirky, fairytale quality, colourful mosaics, wavy roof and rich imagery.

    A must see in Barcelona.
Great place with an amazing story of the architect. It’s a must see when in Barcelona. We got the gold package as it looked like the lines were crazy long. So it was a bit pricy (45 euros each). Very cool though and worth it.

    Amazing Facade
So different! So elegant! The flow of the shapes, the blend of colours… sat in front of it just to enjoy the look. Beautiful is in adequate to describe another of Gaudi’s creation. We didn’t book tickets before hand so we didn’t have time to go in. Really regretted that.

    A Must See in Barcelona!
Of all the sights we saw in Barcelona, this one was my favorite! Definitely get tickets in advance. Everything was well organized. I didn't understand the purpose of the small tablets at first, so that could have been better explained. The immersive film at the end was really cool.

We only went to the subterranean concert here, so we could not explore the architectuer in the floors above, but I liked going to the quick and interesting sound and light show in the basement. It was a trip! Super happy I went, and it was fast. Had time to get to dinner.

The architectural art of Gaudi was an awesome experience and the audio commentary was great. We were attracted to the house by the rainbow in the sky emanating from the house. An amazing effect.

We purchased the gold ticket so we were allowed to visit extra family rooms.
The tour is very well organised. On entering you are only allowed in at your allocated time. You are given an iPad and headset and on entering each room there is a symbol on the screen to click to learn about the room. Auditory and by holding up the screen to view what you are looking at. The first room you stand on a moving floor then further rooms you naturally walk through timed by the hand held device. The house is stunning. The tour does lead you through the souvenir shop twice and there’s an opportunity to have your photo taken on a balcony for 7 euros. The photo is available within a couple of minutes and has a download code too. There appeared to be a little bar and tables at the back of the rooftop terrace but nobody seemed to be using it on our 10.15 am visit. The tour takes you up and down stairs and corridors but there was a lift. There is a final room where they check you don’t suffer from agoraphobia or epilepsy first before closing you all in. It is a large room and more space than people so don’t be put off. What follows is a light show on floors, walls and ceiling that swirls around you as if you’re in Gaudi’s dreams. Mesmerising. I would recommend anyone visiting Barcelona not to miss visiting this house. Takes around an hour and a half.

Did the Gold tour. Not really sure why you would do less unless cost is a major factor. But the audio tour was very well done. This and Casa Mila were great.

A must visit. Outstanding building and with our special ticket, we were able to get into several areas not available to the general public.

Was okay nothing great. Could have settle for just taking pictures on the outside and saved money. A lot of people running over each other viewing an ipad around their neck!

We did the gold pass tour with a 3d audio. Just great and would highly recommend. A totally different experience which takes about 1.5 hours. Like nothing else I have seen. Highly recommend.

Impressive and amazing visit. You feels like a true endeavor into Gaudi’s world. 7 years later I still remember the beauty of the cocktail in the roof top at the sunset.

I really enjoyed my visit to Casa Battlo. The gold entrance ticket is worth the additional cost in my view. The visit is well organised and the audio guide is fantastic. Very interesting and well presented.

This isn’t a bad review for Casa Batllo but I’m furious with TRIPADVISOR and will not be booking through them for anything again. I booked for 5th July. I had to check the dates so I’m 100% sure I booked for July. Stupidly when the tickets were sent the next day I didn’t check the date as I was busy working and wrongly assumed everything was OK. I’ve just checked my tickets to print them only to find the booking was made for 21st June. I WILL NOT BE BOOKING THROUGH TRIPADVISOR EVER AGAIN!
