About
Enjoy our intimate seating area next to the food service counter, or opt for a natural light filled galleria overlooking the departures hall below. This new lounge which opened in 2012 serves guests departing either on domestic or international flights and is located one level above the departures hall across from Gate 52. At 4,500 sq. ft. and with a seating capacity of up to 80 guests, you will be sure to find your ideal spot. Our chef will surprise you with his culinary skills and delicious hot food items. Enjoy a glass of locally brewed craft beer or experience our Red Espresso Rooibos tea, a healthy beverage alternative. The lounge is Wi-Fi enabled and has 3 computer stations available for use.

Location was good, but the whole experience was terrible. Staff lacked etiquettes, food which was supposed to he "hot/warm" was cold, and overall selection was bad. For pastries you had to wait for staff to serve, and the server was lousy. Would not suggest anyone to use the washroom, it was horrible! Overall a terrible experience, avoid it if you can, rather go to a restaurant instead.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good (breakfast time) and lounge was comfortable. The rest is f the reviews differ drastically from our experience – maybe there’s been a change since or maybe it’s been mixed up with the US departures lounge.

Have been coming here monthly for 7 years and each time it gets a little dirtier. It’s like there is no cleaning happening. Staff have given up, often just gossiping and complaining to each other. Food is poor - seriously this place needs a visit from a health inspector.

Terrible food very very warm bad wine.
The hot food should have been thrown out hours ago, was not even warm, I am sure a health inspector would cringe at the food temp.
There was a cold chicken wrap that was so dry and tasteless that I took it apart and added ranch salad dressing to make it edible.
We left after 5 minutes and went to Chilies.
We usually fly out of Calgary and will go back to doing that.
Why go to a sub par lounge because it's included with business class.
There are wonderful airport lounges all over the word. This is definitely not one of them.
It's like comparing a Michelin star restaurant to a bad diner.

Well I am here now because I get free access with my credit card. I had a few hours to kill and was very hungry for hot food. The lounge in Vancouver is much nicer. This lounge needs a renovation and the food could certainly be better. If my access was not free I would not pay for the services of this lounge.
There is a good restaurant beside gate 52 and that would be a better use of your money.

I wonder if anyone in management sees these reviews… this is by far the worst airport lounge I’ve been to. Absolutely disgusting.. terrible food and snack options, dirty and NOTHING about it is premium. It’s a complete waste of lounge access and hope one day someone takes a action and make some changes to this filthy place

Dear Plaza Premium Lounge Management,

I recently visited one of your lounges and I wanted to provide feedback on my experience. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant one and I believe there are areas that require improvement.

Firstly, the lounge appeared to be severely understaffed. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front to greet customers, which resulted in a 15-minute wait before someone finally welcomed me into the lounge. This lack of staffing made the overall experience feel unattended and inconvenient.

Moreover, I found the food selection to be very limited. The desserts were placed behind a glass shelf, but there were no staff members available to assist customers in accessing them. Additionally, there were no coffee mugs provided and the cutlery had noticeable water stains. These small details may seem insignificant but they contribute to an overall impression of poor maintenance and hygiene.

Furthermore, during my visit, I observed dirty dishes left unattended for hours. When they were eventually picked up by staff members, they did not even bother wiping the surface clean. This lack of attention to cleanliness is concerning, especially considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic where heightened health practices should be a priority.

I understand that managing a lounge can be challenging, especially during these unprecedented times. However, it is crucial to prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure that basic standards are met consistently. Improving staffing levels, maintaining cleanliness standards, and enhancing food options would greatly enhance the overall experience for your patrons.

We travel a fair amount and love using lounges. In spite of us having a free pass I don’t think we will return to this lounge. I am not one to complain lightly!! The eggs and sausages were horrible. The eggs were dry rubbery and cold. And the sausages had that almost rancid taste to them and over cooked to the point of not being able to cut with knife. Gave up on that and tried a croissant…. Must have been out for hours on end as when I tried to cut into it it crumbled. So I switched over to the English muffins. It was alright and at least edible. Crazy long line to make coffee. Since now they only use the good coffee machine for Americanos and have a push button machine that the coffee tastes alright from. The only issue with it really is that there is along line to get it. Tables not cleaned well and the lower table leg stand part is really dirty. We fly again in January. But probably won’t be using our “free” earned passes The westjet lounge in Calgary is amazing and puts this one to shame. If I would have paid out of pocket for this lounge I absolutely would have walked out.

Really disappointed in this lounge. It’s very cramped and awkward layout. The food was decent although limited. My biggest disappointment was how run down it was. Walls dirty and damaged. Plumbing in the bathrooms coming out of the wall, dirty bathroom overall. It seems like the absolute bare minimum is being done to operate the lounge. Would definitely never pay to use this lounge.
