I had wanted to see this area and to look all the way down to the Venetian Towers. Unfortunately, there was no water. Best to see this with the fountain operating and the light show in place.

No water, no show. Unfortunately. But it's worthing to go up there and relax with the music of the street artists and the view.

I was disappointed that the fountain wasn't working - it's such a beautiful thing to see.
We did walk down the stairs from Montjuic, but it's just not the same without water. Hopefully it will reopen soon.

Currently not on. No water in fountains. This is due to a water shortage. Do check before you go. I’m sure this would be well worth seeing if the fountains were on.

We attended one night, hoping that we could enjoy the spectacular view of the fountain and the city. Sadly, the fountain was turned off, I guess because of the winter months. We were still able to enjoy some rather spectacular views down into Barcelona, which made the trip worthwhile. Just a shame that the fountain was not on at the time. Do make sure you go to the very top of the steps/escalators.

A beautiful display of the water fountain. Go at night. It’s definitely worthwhile. It’s not the Bellagio in Vegas. But it’s certainly worth the trip.

The fountains were dry when we were there. Still a beautiful spot and there's a great little cafe right by it. I can see how it would be beautiful when they were going.

As a African American female who traveled solo in Barcelona November 2023; I feel over all Barcelona was OK. Some areas in Barcelona were not as welcoming as others. The best way to get around in Barcelona is the tram & busses.

I would doubt it very much with the high temperatures that Spain and other parts of Europe are experiencing.

Is the Magic Fountain currently open? Will it be open for the last week of March 2023? I checked online but it appears that the fountain is closed due to drought. Thanks!

It’s not currently on, I think it will resume when they remove the drought restrictions.
