She is an excellent teacher and her knowledge and background are impressive. If you are looking for a cooking class in Barcelona and a unique way to immerse yourself into Spanish culture and cuisine, look no further. Our group consisted of the two of us and a large family. The food was delicious! We had a nice time getting to know the other people on our tour as well. Martinho and Alberto were great hosts and made the experience extremely fun despite a significant amount of rain. The food was delicious, the space was unique, and the experience was one my husband and I won’t forget. We’re excited to try our hand at making paella once we return from our trip. Everyone was very engaged and contributed by chopping, stirring and mixing. I tried my hand at flipping the Tortilla and was very hesitant but Carlos the chef was quite encouraging. Chef Juan, aka "Juanderful," is fun, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about everyone learning and having a great time. The class really felt like a big family cooking together. I attended with my two daughters, ages 10 and 8, and they had an absolute blast. My very picky 10-year-old, who usually can't even stand the smell of seafood and "hates vegetables," not only helped cut squid but also tried a little of everything. That was a huge and surprising plus! The food we made was absolutely delicious. We prepared toast with shredded tomatoes, strawberry gazpacho, potato tortillas, paella, and crema catalana. - Jacqueline MacEacharnTeddington, UK5 contributionsWhat a fantastic experience with Alfonso and his partner (apologies have forgotten name). Beautiful apartment and views. The weather prevented us from eating on the gorgeous terrace but we did go up to check out the amazing views of the city. This was a birthday treat for my husband with our two grown up children. The variation of tapas was excellent tortilla, shrimp, gazpacho, russian salad and the instruction great. Loved the white sangria. We have already received all the recipes for the various dishes and look forward to trying to reproduce them at home. The surprise birthday cake they produced at the end was indeed the icing on the cake for a wonderful experience. The only other feedback I could possibly give would be that perhaps Alfonso could perhaps allow a little more practical interaction for example I think we would be more likely to try making the croquettes again if we had rolled one ourselves as that looked quite tricky.
