Nice, lively market selling a mix of cheap clothing, household goods, collectables, old knick-knacks, second-hand fashion, and fabrics.
The market has been around for seven centuries and is now located in a modern and beautiful building, with a shiny golden roof, and the atmosphere is busy and untouristy.

One weekend per month there is this Palo Alto Market Fest in Poblenou with lots of stalls where designers sell their own stuff, lots of food trucks, drinks, live music and full of happy people of all ages. Fun, I do recommend this. Partly outdoor, partly indoors.

There is nothing like buying art directly from the artist. This market is a surprising bonus to any trip to Barcelona. You'll find beauty at a very reasonable price.

We came across this Market by chance. It was busy and it was excellent. Plenty of fresh food and a wide range of items on offer.

I found Riera Baixa Street a rather boring street to visit,if your on holiday and your into your retail therapy there are some boutique and vintage cloth shops here, they looked busy but of i have no interest at all in shopping while on holiday, that said the architecture here is quite good, some great examples of Gothic style architecture but I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this street.
If your a keen shopper then a street that you should head to but for me I found the street a bit boring.

If you are exploring the waterfront area on a Saturday or Sunday, then this market is an interesting diversion. The nice thing about it is that it’s not tourist tat. It is genuinely a collectibles/antique market, with some bric-a-brac. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but we enjoyed having a browse and wondering at the things that people collect and keep.
It is easy to find. You can’t really miss it. It’s right behind the Colombus monument along the waterfront. From memory, there were about 15-20 different stalls and you’ll easily spot the white awnings and bright blue stall cloths.
I spent a while leafing through old-world advertisements and posters and we were almost tempted by some antique corkscrews and wine paraphernalia.
Most stalls had commonly collected items such as Lladro china, jewellery, silverware, badges, ornaments, hats, coins, maps and nautical themed items.
Items didn’t seem overly expensive, although many things were not priced which makes it difficult to know. I didn't buy anything myself so I’m not sure what sort of bargaining the stallholders might be open to (although I could hear some bargaining going on).
If you wanted a quirky or different sort of souvenir, then you might easily find something here.
The rest of the Port Vell area is a very attractive spot. We easily spent a few hours here one Sunday enjoying the sun and waterfront. Past the Colombus monument, there's the Las Ramblas De Mar walkway and bridge that takes you across the water to the big, modern Maremagnum shopping and restaurant centre. There's a lovely boardwalk promenade and the Maritime Museum is free after 3pm on Sundays.

Pinxtos are the Basque version of tapas, treats on a piece of bread held with a toothpick (the “sword” of the name). Every restaurant has them on the countertop. You choose the kinds you want and pay later by the number of toothpicks you have. Don’t bother to order food off the menu, you will end up with too much to eat!

If you are looking to find in Barcelona a place that looks different and you are lucky that they are holding the artisans market it’s a must go.

It’s an old factory reconverted in a cultural space and coworking where you will find a lot of art, handmade jewellery, clothes and home designs plus natural stuff and some vintage and antiquaries.

With open ceilings it’s easy that you can spent a nice sunny day out (if Barcelona weather allows it what it normally does)
