- Sherpa7845860 contributionsGuatape TourThe whole experience was very memorable. We drove an hour and a half or so, had free breakfast, drove another 10 min. before arriving at Piedra de Pinol, went to the town of Guatape, had free lunch, went on a maybe 30 minute relaxing boat ride, and then drove back. So many views and high-quality picture opportunities.Written July 20, 2024
- 537deirdrem0 contributionsA Full Day of FunThis day tour was long, but worth it. Our tour guide Alex provided us with great history about the 3 cities visited. He was funny and very responsive to questions. This tour is a must do. Thank me later.Written July 19, 2024
- KoleiL0 contributionsBeautifully experienced day of wonderful color and fun! They were very punctual and we arrived at every place as the earliest tour bus. We got the best seats, fresh experience. The meals were just slightly rushed, like most tour groups. The habañero sauce was delicious and fun spicy, didn’t buy a bottle but wish I did. The breakfast was okay, but the hot sauce made it. The lunch was delicious and there were many options, yummy lemonada!!!!! The tour guide, Marlon was enigmatic and friendly and cordial and accommodating. Matteo the driver clearly loved his job and his bus, giving it a holy name. Congratulations Conductor!!! Día de conductor!!!! The bus was very comfortable. The people taking the tour were so friendly and kind, regret not exchanging names and numbers and contact information! Kinda wanted to see the replica town tour before the boat tour but did not get to, as suggested. Not much information about the sunken town. The weather was incredible and the overall experience was joyful and blessed! Physical exercise, sights, colors, food, coffee, fantastic conversations, water, history. This tour had everything!!!!!Written July 17, 2024

- 245dionnej0 contributionsA Great Experience You Won't ForgetI had an amazing experience in this tour. Our tour guide, Ginna, was the highlight. You can tell that she loved her job. Her energy was on point and she made the trip better with her knowledge, personality, and love for her country. You absolutely get what you pay for, and then some. Breakfast, El Peñol, Guatape, lunch, the boat tour, and Pablado. The food, the scenery, meeting new friends, taking pics, and shopping made this a time to remember. I was so tired after climbing that rock and walking around, that I stayed in and fell asleep early on a Saturday night. We did so much in one day that I was exhausted when the tour ended. I highly recommend that anyone visiting Columbia take this tour of your looking for something to do. Just bring sun block, wear comfortable shoes, and bring cash to make your experience more enjoyable.Written July 14, 2024

I was in the Hacienda Napoles two years ago, in september of 2019. When i arrived, there was a big entrance where you can enter driving your car and looking at some sculptures and pictures of animals.
When i was inside, i saw that the place were too large and there were a lot of animals like ducks, goats and ostriches walking around!. Me and my family started to go to the spots of the park and we found other animals like lions and tigers, and we arrived to a place where there were hippos being fed by common people. It was amazing.
In the place there were other spots like pools, games for all type of people and in general a lot of plants that you can see in different places. One of that places was the butterfly farm, where i could see not only flowers and plants, but also different and beautiful butterflies flying in all the place.
In general, the travel to the Hacienda Napoles was an exciting experience for me and my family, and if you want to get an unforgettable vacations, you should go there!

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing trip with this tour, highly recommended. Pickup and drop off service included to the hotel. The guide was speaking in English and Spanish. The driver was super good, we always felt safe. I highly recommend a full pass, and to take a bath in the pools. Amazing weather and climate.
The trip did not feel very long, the seats in the bus and the air conditioning was very good.

First off the organizer that helped arrange our tour went above and beyond. The bus wasn't able to pick us up at our hotel so he was in constant communication and sent us an uber to the meeting point. Downside we had to get our own ride back. Now about the tour honestly the safari is great you can see a lot of animals up close even feed Vanessa the hippo. The pool is OK too more for kids and relaxing. Heads up the lazy river and waterfall pool are not included, also you have to rent lockers. Food provided was good. Now for those going to learn and see up close about the life of Pablo Escobar. There is a museum of pictures and a few cars but the house has been torn down, the airstrip also has been demolished. The pool was turned into a garden and so forth. Overall tho the experience and service were awesome. Def worth the visit.

A couple of days before our tour I was notified that the tour was not going to be bilingual as stated and I was given the option to cancel however our entire trip has already been planned out and my husband is Puerto Rican and fluent in Spanish so he was able to give me highlights along the way but it's definitely not the same so my daughter and I didn't get the full experience. (Which after reading other reviews, this seems to be a normal occurrence)
Our tour guide was very sweet and even encouraged me to overcome my fear and pet an ostrich and she captured the picture for me. My husband is in a wheelchair and we knew ahead of time that the tour wasn't really wheelchair friendly but our driver went out of his way to help my husband get around much better, some areas of course were too rough for his wheelchair so he would stay on the bus during those parts while my daughter and I jumped off to snap pictures and videos. While we knew it wasn't wheelchair friendly, I feel the description does need to clarify the difficulty in walking certain areas with huge gravel and steep rams along with the distance that you are required to walk... Oh and for anyone with a fear of walking across a suspension bridge, you should know that this happens too. I'm not handicap but as a 2x cancer survivor I understand how these types of things affect a person's physical limitations. Would I have still gone? YES, because I'm always pushing myself physically but it's only fair that people are warned.
The food: The restaurant we stopped at for breakfast was a great little spot... But if you don't eat eggs, you better bring your own breakfast as the ham is cooked inside the eggs so you will be SOL. The food inside the park where you are expected to eat for lunch is AWFUL! The chicken taste like it was cooked using a rubber chicken, the fries must have been marinated in grease for at least a week and the soda tasted like it was half and half (half soda, half water)... We even desperately tried a dessert, churros... Ummm... the filling were so artificially tasting, it was GROSS! So we literally paid for food that unfortunately we just walked away from.
The 2 best highlights were Veronica the hippo and the half day at the water park. By the time you get to the Waterpark, you need and want to cool off and rest so bad that it is like heaven on earth!
Would I recommend this tour? Eh, sure as long as you know what you are expecting first, I mean it's a must do, I guess... ONCE. Was Veronica and the Waterpark worth $100 USD per person and 8 hours on a bus to visit...? Nope, sorry.

Hello good day.
We appreciate your comment and we regret that the tour was not entirely satisfactory for you.
As you indicated in your comment, two days before the tour you were told about the possibility of canceling the tour and it was even indicated that inside the Napoli Hacienda the floor was not paved.
About food, we regret that it was not to your liking. It is normal that not all people have the same tastes, you did not like it and other people on the same tour loved the food.
Best regards.
