My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking through the Gràcia area of Barcelona. It had good reviews so we thought we'd try it. This was one of best meals we had in Barcelona. We love tapas and what they had was so good. It was inexpensive yet great quality. I particularly enjoyed the tenderloin and the dessert of churros with chocolate was amazing. The service was also very good. If you're in the Gràcia district, stop here!

We visited near the end of our stay as we were staying across the road at the Room Mate Anna hotel, and did not expect this to be so good.
If anything now, we are annoyed we didn’t go there sooner or we def it would have gone back at least a couple more times. As the saying always goes people always overlook what’s on there doorstep.
Anyway this is a no booking restaurant so cannot reserve but luckily we got a nice table upstairs.
The restaurant ambience was quite nice although we were sat on a table and not at the bar the experience was just as nice.
The food was just to die for. The best tapas we had eaten for our entire 5 day stay and reckon this is easily one of the best places for Tapas in all of Barcelona. The wine is first class and the house wines are very good, so don’t be shy. The deserts are also spectacularly good! This kitchen is slick, professional and make freshly made Tapas any Spaniard or Catalan would surely rate as some of the best in the country.
In our opinion it’s number 1 ! Don’t miss this place, and if you happen to be staying in Room Mate Anna or anywhere in Eixample there’s no excuse to not come here. It’s also so easy to find just off the Passeig de Gracia.
Simply amazing!
PS try the prawn and squid skewer ! OMG 😋

The Vinitus was just a 3 minute walk from our hotel. It was Saturday night and the place was full and hopping! I think we got the last two seats at the bar and we loved seeing the cooks hustle, boy did they move! We saw what they were cooking and that helped us make a few choices and also our waitress was very helpful as well.
We ended up with 5 dishes that we shared plus the tomato bread. Green peppers, egg plant, pork rib, seafood salad and finally a small piece of pigs’ feet. All were delicious, fresh and generous portions. Too full for dessert.
We will be back to try many more dishes.

Of the 6 tapas meals we had in Barcelona, this was the worst. The food did not seem to be as fresh or as high quality as in other places. For example "bread with tomato" came as several very even ovals of bread already macerated with oil and tomato. This was so different from places that give fresh crusty bread on which you pour the oil and grate fresh tomato. The cuttlefish croquet was tasty, but the breading seemed more processed than in other places. Our server brought us not one but two dishes in which his fingers were touching the food. Chicken cannelloni was good.

Thanks travelady042 for your detailed comment. As our tables aren’t that spacious, we like serving our bread already prepared with tomato and oil. We prepare it instantly after being commanded, Might maybe have been too much oil on it?

There is a sister restuarant of the same name which does exactly the same menu. I think we came to this branch. We came here on a weekday around 3pm. Luckily for us, it wasn't very busy at that time. We walked past the restuarant many times before at night time and it was always really busy and a lot of people waiting outside for a table. We came here without a reservation. The restuarant was still relatively busy in the late afternoon, but nothing compared to at night time. Very nice atmosphere. Very cosy, modern and clean. Tgey have seating around a bar type area, but we were seated on a table by the window. We ordered a number of tapas dishes. Very delicious! We really enjoyed the food here a lot. One of the best in Barcelona that we tried. Good service. Definitely worth a try

Sadly taken over by new owners. Very basic food. Every dish was served with toast drenched in olive oil. The table was set with the old menu placed upside down under the plates.
Inside there was airco which blew you away.

The food did not taste good at all, except the potatos (bravas). Our waiter was nice, but it was not only him coming with our dishes. The other waiter just placed the dish on our table in a hurry and just left. When it was time to pay, another waiter came with our bill, and whilst paying he starts talking to other people and just leaves without giving us a copy. This is very rude. We waited 30mins for a table, and the food tasted absolutely horrible. Not worth it.

Ate here twice over the Christmas period. Both meals were fantastic. The menu is not vast, but everything on it we had was really good. Looking at the ingredients that were ready to be cooked it looked very fresh that day from the market. There was a good selection of dishes, with some great seafood ones.
The deserts were really good as well, especially the bread pudding, when accompanied by a glass of the Nectar Sherry!
Food and drink is excellent value, would not hesitate to recommend. Enjoy.....

We were a party of 5 and waited about 30 minutes to get a table as the restaurant is very popular. We ordered a lot of tapas : berenjena brasa, salmon marinado, patatas bravas, pescadito con padron , croquetas del di, jamon iberico, calamares, raba de pulpo gallega, etc.. All the dishes were delicious and full of flavor. We ended our dinner with the crema catalna which was also exquisite. The staff was very friendly and offered an excellent service. The prices are reasonable for all the items.
Overall, it was worth the wait - Highly recommended.

Had a lovely selection of superb tapas here today with my wife. The Lobster rice, pork solomillo, Camembert and black pudding were all extremely tasty and of a good size. This coupled with excellent service makes this an ideal spot in central Barcelona for a delicious lunch.

Our tour guide highly recommended this place and we are so thankful she did! Based on her recommendation, we ordered the beef tenderloin, seafood croquettes, gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic), Ensaladilla rusa and sangria de cava. WOW!!! The flavors are so exquisite.
Service was just average, but will definitely return in a heartbeat if we're ever in Barcelona again. Definitely worth stopping by.

Visited again after a year or so since last. Food is still excellent, mostly tapas style, with a strong fish bias on the menu.
Everything we had was excellent, and with half a lobster at 12 €uros great value.
Good wine list at very affordable prices,especially compared to UK restaurants.
Can definitely recommend, sat at bar and watched everything being cooked, made the evening even more fun. Great service as well.

Our concierge at the Renaissance recommended this tapas cafe for a quick easy dinner. Liked it so well that we went back for lunch the next day. Since we were not on Spain’s eating schedule we were able to get a nice table both times. It is a small place and does have counter sitting where you can watch the kitchen staff. I eat gluten free and the wait staff was great to work with. The cafe has a nice vibe as well as great food.

Such a great find! The food was excellent, so much selection and all fresh. We ordered 5 things but then kept seeing other's orders come out so we kept ordering what we were seeing. Very reasonable prices for such a high traffic area.
The service was fantastic. Edison was a great waiter. The place was very busy at lunch time and we were in awe how hard every single person was working.
If this wasn't the last day in Barcelona, we would go back for sure.

Amazing food and service! The wine was incredible, price was brilliant and the best sea food I’ve ever had. The dessert was great too. We were sat on the food bar area and were personally served by chefs. Attentive and passionate. Best place I’ve eaten in Barcelona ! Definitely be coming back again.
