We booked a private room at Tros de La Rambla and cannot recommend it enough. The service was exceptional, especially our host Leilani who was extremely accommodating and patient. Leilani was a superstar and really made the group feel special. I appreciate that it can be difficult corralling a large group but that did not compromise the standard of food, wine or service that we received. Communication with the restaurant ahead of time was clear and straightforward. We really appreciate all the work from the team to ensuring that we had a fantastic night. Five stars!

Soy inglesa (¡Entonces, lo siento si no escribo todo correcto en español!) He visitado esta noche (31.08.23) y la comida, y también el servicio de Miguel, fue perfecto. Miguel fue muy simpático y las tapas de que mi novio y yo hemos comidos eran deliciosas. ¡Gracias!
If you understand English, then we visited here tonight for tapas and it was fab! We went a few days ago for drinks and the cocktails were tasty too, so we wanted to return. You should visit. The food was great and we were served by Miguel and he was brilliant- it’s the small things but I appreciated that he continued speaking to me in Spanish when I tried to communicate as I’ve not spoken it in about 10 years and many Spaniards switch to English to help. (He could, of course, speak perfect English as I overheard him with someone else!) But I appreciated his patience and helping me with some Spanish words. You should all go here for food and drinks!

Wandering back up La Rambla after a day out and something about El Tros called out to us ! We were seated by a lovely friendly guy who sorted our drinks and food, we had; padron peppers ( I got a hot one 😂 ), chicken strips in a lovely crunchy lemony batter, a plate of local cheeses, patatas bravos and “coco ?” bread. All were absolutely delicious with great sharing size portions to boot ! Kate had whisky sour and I had a glass of local white wine both of which were again great ! We left full, happy and satisfied, the staff member we dealt with was fun, chatty but not obtrusive and we left with a very positive impression and would happily go back if there again !

If I could eat here every night, I would!
The service was brilliant. The older gent with white hair was great. He asked where we were from then adapted his language and demeanor to suit. What an absolute gent, and absolute asset to your business.
Now the food. We received recommendations after a couple of questions, and those recommendations did not disappoint.
We had the squid/calamari - beautiful, coated in panko breadcrumbs, paired with a lemon mayo.
Followed by the seafood paella, this was unlike any paella I've ever had in Spain.
I had the medium steak with potatoes and peppers. The steak was to DIE for!!!
We decided to forego dessert because we were more than satisfied.
I would wholeheartedly recommend EL TROS - De La Rambla.

We found this restaurant in error while trying to locate another, and we are so happy we tried it. El Tros de La Rambla is an AMAZING restaurant located on Las Ramblas Catelan; the non-tourist area.
The managing director, Xavi, was our server and he did a great job of showcasing his restaurant. We were looking for traditional Spanish cuisine and we were pleased with the selections.

Access flat into restaurant or into terrace outside.
The welcome was good promptly seated and order taken. Menu is multilingual.
The food was absolutely excellent ,the menu is varied with Spanish and Catalan dishes cooked to perfection and then promptly served.
I am sure you will like it here.

Terrible experience. Tasteless food, likely from a package, as evidence the staple wire left in the food. Half the appetizers we ordered did not arrive, probably just as well. Very disappointed for a special occasion evening wasted.

We were so fortunate to stumble upon this place at the end of a long day so dropped in after visiting the Gaudi home. This was superb. I am gluten intolerant and their menu was so sympathetic and delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. Great wines also. Highly recommend you visit.

When visiting Barcelona you have to spend some time on the Ramblas eating and people watching. Most places have dreadful reviews and are considered a bit of a rip off. This one wasn’t! Food was great and very reasonably priced for the location. There was 6 of us and we had a mix of tapas and main meals and all were great.
Staff were efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!

Darwin was a fantastic server. El Tros had a few vegan/vegetarian options and all were delicious. We had pan tomato, peppers, gazpacho, olive with anchovies, roasted eggplant onion and pepper and croquettes....all fabulous. Good portions...have to pay for the location.

We made a reservation based on the good reviews here. On arrival we have been shown a table by a slightly annoyed waitress on the first floor. Then we were forgotten! We waited for almost 30 mins without anyone taking notice of us. Employees came and went but no one even bothered asking us for drinks. After 30 mins we decided to leave. Obviously they do not need new clients despite only a few tables had been occupied. Never again!

We had planned to eat at nearby Cerveceria Catalana but the queue was too long so we looked for somewhere else nearby. El Tros was perfect. We had great service from Adrian and the food was delicious. I had black rice with asparagus and my wife had a catalan cuttle fish dish both of quick were great. Good selection of reasonably priced wines including organic options. I topped off my meal with a toy selection of Catalan cheeses and a brandy whilst my wife had a perfect crema catalan.

This experience was great. The food was not only fresh and well prepared, but the service was also efficient. This did not take away from the enticing presentation. The outdoor seating, though a bit extra (15%) was great for people watching too. I highly recommend this restaurant, my family and I had an excellent evening.

Really good food, presentation and atmosphere. We started with drinks out on the street under the canopy and stayed for dinner. The food was excellent. Cod, Sea bass and Shortrib were chosen, with great starters and dessert. The staff were great, and the atmosphere was perfect. The only bad drink was the margarita - very sour and they switched for a mojito - No one is perfect. Ate for about 35Euros each with drinks and desserts. We would definitely eat there again.
