For me this is a "hidden gem" that we were not able to visit a few years ago. It's one of the most beautiful creations of Gaudi in my opinion. It's cosy, not crowded and us has a lovely atmosphere.

What an amazing science museum this is. So much to see and do with so many interactive displays. It's not just boards of text (though there are information boards explaining the display) but instead it's more like you're doing experiments so that you can understand what it's trying to show. The flooded rainforest in particular is simply amazing. The best museum we've been to and the highlight of our trip to Barcelona

Wow! So glad we decided to see this spot.
Walked in for tickets, no crowds, manageable size to see, spectacular architecture!
    So worth the time.

Went on a small group tour that was included with my Barcelona Modernista card entry (get it, it’s great!) and was amazed at how well preserved this place is. It’s a special glimpse into the past that celebrates the building and the people that lived in it. The architecture was so unique and staff were really friendly and helpful.

There are many lovely and charming neighborhoods in BCN, and this one is my absolute favorite because it is so lively, especially at night when the many cafes and bars are crowded, mostly with youth. Many narrow streets to explore and a few big squares. You can find international food here.

A beautiful natural park and antidote to the tourist crowds. We enjoyed the laberinto as well. Beautiful statues and nice trials. Easy access from metro.

It's obvious that this was once an industrial area, but it is slowly being converted to new uses, offices and apartments, some hotels. Some of the old buildings have been turned into restaurants and clubs. Metro stations are here, you are very close to the Sea.

First night in Barcelona and we booked in for this show, Sangria making class and tapas dinner. All were excellent! Pol taught us the fine art of Sangria and he was very knowledgeable and great fun. Show was amazing, tapas dinner and Sangria were both delicious. All in all, a wonderful first night in Barcelona!

What an amazing place. Beautiful and interesting, with the added bonus that it was almost empty. Well worth hopping off the bus to visit - only €5 entrance fee.

This has only been open for a few years and is not as well known as other Gaudi works. Worth a visit if you have time. A little out of the way. We love castles and this fit the bill. Nice grounds and not crowded. The view from the room is wonderful.

This square has walls with bomb blasts all over them from a war. I believe the Spanish Civil War. The are not repaired so people can remember their history.

We actually went to this museum by accident. We had been trying to find MOCO. We didn’t regret it for a minute. There is currently an exhibition on by Mark Tennant which is excellent. I believe it ends May 12th.
The other exhibits were just amazing. I’m no art specialist but it was hard to tell what were photographs and what was painted or drawn. Incredible work.
Very close to the Picasso museum. €13 entry.

Very nice view. Went by accident, planned to see Parc Guell and this was a close bus stop. Very difficult to find anything without mobile internet:). In the end found Parc Guell. Come early because police won't let people to stay later

The Rambla offers the family atmosphere of a small town with all the accessibility and benefits of a big city. Great walk with the family after a great meal and dessert from local providers and restaurants. There are supermarkets, pharmacies and plenty of restaurants/bars.

Plenty of variety and options. The beach is about a 6-10 minute walk, there are hotels, hostels and plenty of airbnb options around. Transportation is accessible, from public to private. Parking might be a difficulty in the street specially if you are not local to traffic rules.

As a family, this is a great place to chose for a short or long stay, 15 minutes from Barcelona and 6-10 minute walk from the beach.

This place looks unassuming but once inside (free entry), it goes on and on and on. Really I could not believe the number of rooms and collections, and the amount of STUFF displayed! It would have been boring if it wasn't so amusing. Thousands of pipes, thousands of fans, thousands of all sorts of items. Entertaining!
