The monument includes a grand carved base, and a 60-meter column with statue of Columbus at the top. Located at the end of Las Ramblas near the waterfront. It was significantly bigger than I thought it would be, with so many intricate details to look at. The emergency measures caused by the ongoing drought meant the fountains were not operating, but it was still amazing to behold. As you walk the waterfront on the Passeig de Colom - you will sooner or later find it - as long as you go towards the Port Vell area - or back from that direction.
It is interesting and funny in the same time- since the municipality of Barcelona decided to keep it there - although the restaurant doesn't exist anymore.

Barcelona is full of beautiful sculptures, many of them in animal form, and this one is no exception.
