For me this is a "hidden gem" that we were not able to visit a few years ago. It's one of the most beautiful creations of Gaudi in my opinion. It's cosy, not crowded and us has a lovely atmosphere.

Recommend going earlier in the morning to check out this arch. Nice place to generally hang out, take photos,

Nice place to also go for a run or bike

Impressive monument to the explorer who lost his way enroute to India. The monument includes a grand carved base, and a 60-meter column with statue of Columbus at the top. Located at the end of Las Ramblas near the waterfront. The monument was built for the Barcelona Exhibition of 1888.

This was the highlight of the Parc de la Ciutadella for me. It was significantly bigger than I thought it would be, with so many intricate details to look at. The emergency measures caused by the ongoing drought meant the fountains were not operating, but it was still amazing to behold. A lovely place to take pictures.

Montserrat has lots to offer: spectacular mountain scenery, hiking trails, a religious monastery/abbey/basilica and iconic Black Madonna image, a cog-wheel train, funicular, cable car, shops, and restaurants. A great place for an easy day-trip from Barcelona (by bus, car, or train).

It's a curious and attractive outdoor scuplture in the middle of one of the big walking streets in the old town. Modern, attractive.

Used to be an advertisement for the "Gambrinus" restaurant - the restaurant is gone the Shrimp designed by Javier Mariscal is till there.
As you walk the waterfront on the Passeig de Colom - you will sooner or later find it - as long as you go towards the Port Vell area - or back from that direction.
It is interesting and funny in the same time- since the municipality of Barcelona decided to keep it there - although the restaurant doesn't exist anymore.
Over the year it became a sort of a landmark - so when you are walking in the area - for sure it is worth a few pics.

By the side of the magical fountain you will find the Four Columns. The four Ionic columns originally created by Josep Puigi Cadafalch in Barcelona, Spain. They were erected in 1919.

Located in the Plaza de Catalunya, this statue is next to the Hard Rock Cafe. There's really nothing interesting about it, but you can't miss it...

El Toro Pensador is the unusual sculpture of a very thoughtful Bull! Barcelona is full of beautiful sculptures, many of them in animal form, and this one is no exception. The interesting thing here is that at the other end of Las Rambla there sits another animal sculpture (the Flirty Giraffe), and it seems as if the two animals will soon start to want to come closer to each other; but you will have to meet both animals in order to understand the connection.

This bandstand in Parc de la Ciutadella stands in memory of Sonia Rescalvo Zafra, a transexual who was murdered by a group of Neo-Nazis in the park in1991. A murder which became a turning point in public attitudes towards transexuals in Spain.

The bandstand isn't much to see, but plus one for the gesture.

The Trias House was designed and built by architect Julie Battlellewell y Arus in 1905. The Trias house, as well as the territory adjacent to it, is a private property in which people live: the descendants of the lawyer Marti Trias and his wife Ana Maxenchs, who met and got married in Barcelona, and in 1901 acquired two plots on the territory of Park Güell on which this modernist villa was built four years later.

Interesting scultpture showing a Giraffe in an flirty pose, located at the start of the Rambla street, worth a look while talking a walk in the area. There is also a second one at the other end of the Rambla street.
