During our walking tour, our tour guide pointed this place out and highly recommended it. He also suggested that, if we go there, we should try the Crema Catalana, which is like crème brûlée. So, after the tour, and after having lunch at another tour guide-recommended restaurant, we headed back to Pastisseria Escribà. As you enter, there is a case lined with the prettiest individual desserts you've ever seen - they are absolutely stunning and perfect! It's so hard to choose because they all look incredible and are their own little piece of art. Fighting off the urge to try many different things, we settled on just a few, including the Crema Catalana. It was all so delicious. If I was in Barcelona for more than just a couple days, I would have to go back regularly and try a different one each time! Kudos to the bakers!

This has to be one of the most impressive bakeries I have ever visited. We went twice in three days and were not disappointed. Down a side street, behind the Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral. You will not be disappointed. Please note this is not a restaurant - it is a bakery.

An excellent experience!!!!!! My husband and I are passionate about patisserie. We make trips just to try the patisserie around the world. We came in Barcelona, actually for Oriol Balaquer, but it was a big disappointment! Then, by mistake, run into La Pastisseria Barcelona. The deserts were simply wonderful! The tastes are well balanced and not so sweet (depending of the taste). Don’t miss it if you visit Barcelona!!!

What you see is what you get - even more. Pastries are so delicious and special it is hard to eat just one. Worth every penny!

We had just arrived and as we waited to check in we enjoyed delicious croissants and coffee here. The display of desserts is outstanding. The cleanliness was what will prevent us from returning.

I have been there for breakfast. I tried plain croissant, a pastry with olive, tomato and cheese filling on it which has a twisted shape and a sweet pastry with strawberry and cream filling inside. They were amazing. Especially the strawberry pastry was breath taking. The cafe itself has a pretty decent atmosphere, it looks elegant and clean. Definitely recommend it.

We are in love with Paris croissants and cakes but this place made us forget Paris. Everything is amazing here. All the cakes have a special glow like no others but the taste is astonishing. Cheesecake cream, the chocolate filled and the texture of chocolate over the cakes are unique. The personnel is also great. There is nothing in the design of the shop which could disturb you from your mission: enjoying the cakes. A dream come true.

We stayed near the Pastisseria and daily bought croissants for breakfast - they were absolutely delicious and cost 1.10 euros each. Would certainly recommend.

This times a Sweet is something you watch it made on Netflix but it’s a sin to savour it and are constantly made less...sweet! Anyway in a vastly developed city to be world’s best tourist attraction the “pastisserias” are not following in Number and Quality. A good sweet is hard to find... This place simply serves the best sweets in Barcelona. Not particularly inventive but with the best of ingredients and full of taste. Very, very, very good to the chef and the staff!

Came here a couple of weeks ago and had a couple of the delightful looking cakes, Was not disappointed as these cakes tasted absolutely delicious, not only did they look like a work of art but tasted just as great. when we visit Barcelona again in the future, we will be straight back to this place to try a few more. 5 stars,

Was looking for something special to treat my daughter for her birthday, and this Pastisseria exceeded my expectations. The sweet delights was an artist display of skill and created with the best sourced ingredients. They had different kind of texture but combined with taste explotion in your mouth.

This small pastisseria is located two blocks away from Paseo de Gracia. The display of pastries is beautiful! They make attractive colorful pastries in modern designs and original flavors. They all look charming and appetizing, and my one complaint is that I would have loved to see more options! Since the Revettla de Sant Joan is near, they also offer the typical Coca de Sant Joan (a sweet bread adorned with candied fruit and pinenuts), which they eat on the night from the 23rd to the 24th of June to celebrate Saint John. We had the Puro Chocolate (chocolate mousse, shiny chocolate glaze and chocolate cookie crust) and the Pastis de Formatge (cheesecake, galleta maria crust and raspberry jam). They were both delicious! I will surely want to go back and try other flavors!

We came to this modern fancy breakfast location many times during our trip and had the chance to try many of its many wonderful desserts. Amazing coffee as well. The only interesting downside is that they do not allow for to-go cups for their coffee. A must visit in the Eixample district.

Popular place for dessert as there was quite a line for takeaway.. I watched as one by one the chocolate mousse tarts were all sold; thinking they would be sold out by the time it got to me. Lucky for me, they were making them in the kitchen as fast as they were selling them and I wasn't to be denied. Not the cheapest place for a small dessert, but it certainly was delightful.
