The tour was very thorough as to the long history of the various stages of building. It's beautiful inside and with much architecture and planning. - EksknightWest Lawn, PA152 contributionsWe went to one of the summer evening tours that included a glass of cava and music on the roof top. Absolutely lovely evening! We just had the regular audio guide, not the special ipad experience, and it was absolutely fine. The tour leads you through the house, the inner stairs with their blue tiles are especially memorable. The shopping is wonderful. We can walk up and down, and there are benches scattered around to take a break. We enjoyed the area, we kept away from La Rambla as there is nothing to get excited about, extremely touristy and tacky. However the restaurants at the other end looked okay. We spent most of our time in the gothic area, and looked for restaurants/cafes away from the main streets. We always had good food and service. This is a heavy traffic area so be careful crossing the street! It is always busy as may tourist buses start and end here. Many of the buildings here are from centuries before ours, lots of history, lots of narrow streets, and a good place to wander. Some of the old buildings have been turned into restaurants and clubs. "The world comes to life with each kiss" serves as the title for this artwork, and its uniqueness lies in the captivating narrative that accompanies the mural.
Upon initial observation, one sees the central theme of a kiss. However, upon closer inspection, the intricate details reveal that the kiss is composed of numerous small photographs. These photos, specifically depicting the theme of "freedom," were contributed by readers of the Spanish Newspaper El Periódico.
