Went for a VIP breakfast/brunch and it was amazing. Fantastic service from MARIO and the food was incredible. 45 per a person, all you can eat, all you can drink (champagne, coffee, juice, etc..) and you get to enjoy a beautiful peaceful roof deck all to yourself.

I had dinner and the VIP brunch at La Terraza del Claris during my stay at the Claris Hotel, and both experiences were amazing. The staff are super attentive and were very careful and conscientious of my food restrictions. If you're gluten free or dairy free, they will absolutely accommodate you here, and without detracting from the luscious and bountiful flavors of the cuisine.
For dinner, they custom-made appetizers and a main course of an off-menu rice dish consisting of white and black truffle, carpaccio, peas, and mushrooms. It was heavenly. The wine list is robust and extremely reasonably priced. I can't remember the name of my server, but he was excellent and made me feel very well cared for.
For breakfast, they again customized everything and the champagne was flowing constantly. I'm still digesting as I write this. Also, my server, Mario, was extremely friendly, very attentive to detail, and super thorough regarding my food restrictions. He made it such that I never wanted for anything, and kept the conversation light and friendly. Mario is the best and I highly recommend him!
The view speaks for itself, and the restaurant is enclosed and heated, so there's no worry about temperature. Would 100% dine here again!

We were guests at the hotel and reserved the private brunch during our stay. We arrived at 11am (the latest reservation available) and were immediately greeted by our host, Mario, who had prepared a beautiful spread of various classic brunch items including fruits, pastries, meats, and cheeses (among other things), including the option to order additional hot brunch plates. There was also an array of freshly squeezed juices, including orange, tomato, and green, which we chose to accompany with a delicious bottle of Cava. Mario provided excellent service from beginning to end by explaining each of the dishes and their relevance to Spanish and Catalonian culture while accommodating our additional requests (e.g., asking him to take several photos to document the experience!). Mario achieved the perfect balance between providing the privacy we wanted while also being immediately available for all of our needs and wants. Another nice touch was that we conversed with him in three different languages (Italian, Spanish, and English). All of this, in addition to the wonderful and airy terrace atmosphere (which includes amazing views, a pool, and a beautiful dining room) made for a truly unique experience. In sum, we will certainly return, and we unequivocally recommend that anyone who has the opportunity to brunch at La Terraza del Clarice should do so!

I made a reservation for my friends and we came and they said that the manager sometimes cancels reservations when you don’t confirm, although I did confirm and had email confirmation. They told me “next time answer when the manager calls you” and I showed them my phone with zero missed calls. I had my phone on me all day. They said they would figure something out and ended up sitting us with half the restaurant empty. The server took 2 drink orders from the 8 of us and kept telling us he would be right back, and never took our order. We have currently been here 50 minutes with half the people in our group without drinks, so we asked for the tab and are leaving to get tapas. Service is awful, I haven’t been able to meet this manager who apparently cancels reservations, but he sounds like he needs to be replaced, since clearly the behavior trickles down and if this is acceptable, I do not recommend anyone experience this venue.

In a hot September day finding a breezy terrace in Barcelona is not easy. Yet, the top of the Hotel Claris has this very good restaurant with excellent service headed by friendly Mario that was a most pleasant experience. It was shaded and with the help of some Dyson fans quite tolerable. We had one of their menus and they even made a substitute including a crispy greens salad with a subtle dressing. Their signature croquettes of iberico, were crispy but very runny inside. The Changurro canelon and the turbot with clams just right. The dessert selection , including something called pina colada ( a deconstruction of the famous drink) was also light, refreshing and tasty. Because of Tripadvisor's weird system of ratings, I cannot award what is so freely handed out, the five star rating, because there has to be room for perfection and distinction between fine dining restaurants and regular eateries, hamburger joints, etc. That we found the following week at Arzak in San Sebastian. Nevertheless, the top of the Claris is an excellent choice and has the fringe benefit that afterwards you can linger in their air conditioned room with a significant collection of preColumbian art.

At first many thanks to Massimo, Mario and John for the professional and excellent Support for the reservation and service for this spezial visit!
In January I had planned for a marriage proposal at a Restaurant in Barcelona.
After the online booking i had a call with Mario and he gave me the Support on everything for a perfect proposal.
We then arrived at the Restaurant and the location on the rooftop was excellent!
We had some dishes that we have ordered a la Cart with Massimo and John. The starter was a plate with oysters and a dish with cannelloni and shrimp ingredients.
The main course was a delicious variation of rice (like a risotto) it was very tasty. The mushroms and truffles gave the perfect taste note.
At the end we had a chocolate Dessert, which was a Final sweetmeat!
Many thanks again for everything, tue conclusion was a big yes 🤩

The experience starts as soon as you take your seat. The staff work extremely well to be helpful, attentive but unintrusive. All dishes are superbly prepared, delicately seasoned and exactly the right quantities. There is no feeling of being rushed and no request is too much for them. Very highly recommended.

Exquisite food, environment and fabulous service.
We stayed at the Claris Hotel & Spa for 3 weeks during October 22.
The standard of food and service in the rooftop bar and restaurant, La Terraza, deserves special praise. Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. We spent much time there throughout our stay, both of an afternoon and an evening, where the relaxed atmosphere and fabulous array of tapas sustained us well and kept us very pleasantly 'hydrated'.
The rooftop bar and restaurant offer fantastic views across this beautiful city and are very well designed so they have the feel of an oasis within the bustle below. The whole area was kept immaculately clean by hardworking, attentive yet friendly staff and is an absolute benefit to the hotel as a whole.
The standard of fare in the actual restaurant was exquisite and wasn't beaten by the many other restaurants we have visited in Barcelona - very close to Michelin starred in my opinion, yet not pretentious. Each meal began with a different creative appetiser, which baselined the very high standard of all courses. I was offered, and seized, the opportunity to have a quick tour of the kitchen, which was immaculate, and was astonished that such quality cuisine could be orchestrated from a relatively small area. This is testament to the team of chefs, who were very hardworking, and their passion, creativity and drive. Superb job!
The service received throughout matched this incredibly high standard and our time spent on the 7th Floor undoubtedly made the singular biggest difference to our time in Barcelona. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of all staff, but a massive big thank you to Mario and the Matre'd team, and to bar staff Elena, Valeria, Rädu, Mario, Joulian and Bertha. Apologies to those I may have missed, but they were all equally awesome and without them our stay would have been so much more dull.
Thank you so very much for looking after us with so much attention and affection. I hope to see you all again soon.

This is a gorgeous hidden spot for a lovely rooftop lunch. We had four courses all of which were delicious - the starters in particular were exceptional. We had the steak tartare which was hand mixed by Mario - who was a wonderful, so attentive and offered excellent advice on the food and wine. Would highly recommend a visit.

The restaurant is very nice, beautiful atmosphere and very delicious food. Menu del día is an excellent meal. Rice with seafood stole my heart.
Despite it’s a rooftop, it’s cleverly protected from the winter winds and you are feeling like you are in the covered garden

Had the VIP breakfast experience at La Terraza del Claris during my stay at Hotel Claris, and it was mind-blowing. The VIP breakfast came with many gourmet dishes, pastries and fruits, a glass of champagne and many types of seasonal fresh mixed juices, then you could order an entrée. The scramble egge with red shrimps was absolutely my favorite and it was perfectly balanced. The setting was simply elegant surroundings by greens and shades with a nice view of the city. Mario was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to the food, service and even recommendations in the city. There is also a pool side lounge area for drinks and meet up here. It is simply relaxing, intimate and a gourmet gem in the heart of Barcelona.

I was so surprised with just how good the service was! The team bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. I ordered a one kilo steak and not only was it excellently prepared, but also pre-cut into edible slices. The desert we had was legitimately unique, I never thought that thin sliced cucumbers and sorbet would be a good combination, but it was. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, prices were just fine for the quality received. Will come again!

The terrace breakfast was absolutely marvelous, the food was beyond delicious and of high quality and our waiter Mario was incredibly attentive and sweet. He made sure that we had a great experience. The ambiance is very relaxing and soothing- down to the background music being played. I highly recommend this experience

What a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Massimo, listened to our preferences and then guided us perfectly to an amazing dining experience. My husband and I shared the pork terrine with artichokes served three ways it was excellent. I expressed interest in the turbot and the duck. Massimo spoke of how excellent the turbot was and he was right. The desserts were all appealing, but there was a new fall dessert with kumquats, pumpkin sorbet , blood oranges etc. we were leaning towards cheesecake. Our waiter said at 5:00 he would have recommended the cheesecake, but he tasted the fall dessert at 6 and it was exquisite. He was right. An incredible dining experience.
