Quite well located in the northern part of the city, although on a busy road and just around the corner of the wide (and very busy) avenue Mittre.
The entrance is nothing special and actually quite weird as you pass through a kind of restaurant.
There is a small lobby with friendly staff.
The first room I got was on the first floor, was quite spacious but had no big (only three small, side) windows. It felt claustrophobic and I asked to get a room higher up with a view. That was possible and organised in a couple of minutes. The new room, on the top floor, was correct in size and had a (somehow run down) terrace, overlooking the neighbourhood.
Neither the room nor the bathroom were special in design. Functional is probably the best description. All fairly clean.
The bed and pillows were excellent and very clean.
I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as that is served in the basement and I am not into that.
The price for the room was very acceptable.
I wouldn’t consider this a 4 star hotel, but rather a regular three star one.
It’s close to my customer, so from thet perspective it was convenient. But I’d prefer to select another place on my next business trip.

Thank you very much Olivierfrombrussels for sharing with us your experience. We can understand you prefer another kind of hotel, but we could not agree that our hotel is not a 4 stars hotel. We remained at your entire disposal since you arrived, trying to meet always your expectations. Despite your perception, it was a great pleasure for us to assist you and for this reason we absolutely feel gratitude. Our best regards from Barcelona, enjoy the city on your next visits. It is wonderful!

Good location linked by the three bus stations so you can go everywhere in the city, it takes about 15-20 minutes to the center. The rooms were cleaning every day, the bed is maybe a little bit older but we sleeped well, the hotel looks pretty at all, I would only change the smell in the reception room with some pretty flower smell. That was very good at all

I love how the front office clerk accommodated us, Hi to Miss Carmen, she’s listens attentively and friendly.
The toilet is our main concern coz when we used the shower room it over flows going to the hallway.
The air-conditioning unit also isn’t working.

From the moment we arrived to the day we left we were made to feel very special. Staff are wonderful hotel was awesome. as it was my wife’s 50th we stayed in a signature room with own pool. The restaurant served great food with exceptional recommendations. Sight seeing, bar and restaurant tips given to us by the staff were all excellent. The location in the gothic quarter is an excellent location allowing for not more than 25min walk to many of the areas we wanted to visit. If I was going to be hyper critical I would suggest more coffee and milk to be left in the rooms but saying this we were always supplied more when we asked. We certainly hope to revisit this beautiful city and lovely hotel in the near future.

To start with the positives, the staff were generally welcoming, professional and polite, Ali on reception assisted with printing our return boarding passes and Cristian in the bar was hardworking.
Another receptionist recommended a nearby restaurant that was pretty good.
The not so good: the website says there is parking on site but there was no mention of a fee so we were surprised to be told upon arrival that parking was €28 a night! Secondly there is no lift from the car park to the lobby so it was a struggle with cases up 2 flights of stairs (TBF, we were partly assisted on arrival but not departure).
The hotel itself was adequate, a little tired and could do with some modernising but it was clean.
My wife was a little concerned about a chipped toilet seat in our room but the shower pressure was fantastic!
My biggest gripe was that our room (201) was directly next to the maid’s cupboard and for the first 2 mornings, we were woken around 8am by shouting, screaming & laughter as they went about their work!
After the 2nd time I spoke with reception and it didn’t happen again, however, the room doors appear to have no acoustic quality whatsoever as we heard numerous hotel guests throughout the night as they came & went, it certainly wasn’t very relaxing.
I would definitely recommend asking for a room as far away from the maid’s cupboard & lift lobby, as possible.

Booked via Booking.com. Got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost us 40 euros. Reception staff friendly and speak English. Room was on the 7th floor (which was apparently a new floor) and it was stunning. absolutely beautiful, spacious, well equipped, comfiest beds, fluffy pillows. absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided, plus toothbrushes and paste for if you have forgotten yours! Towels provided and robes and slippers too.
Pool area was great. Pool towels are provided free of charge from reception. The pool was small and cold, however, this really was not a problem. It was a perfect area for some chill time. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger and there were cabanna bed things for a more shaded area, which our children loved sitting under.
The hotel is slightly out of town, in a quieter, more upmarket place. The first day we walked into Barcelona, which did take about an hour but there were loads of shops and cafes o the way so we had a nice walk. A taxi back cost us 10 euro, so not bad at all. The second day we jumped on a bus from a bus stop directly outside, it was the V13 bus and cost 2.55 per person. It took us all the way down to the marina, but you can also stop at La Ramblas on the same bus. We ended up getting this bus several times while we were there. Although we could not work out how to get back on the bus! so we walked or got a taxi for around 10 euro.
Breakfast each day was fantastic!
We also ordered room service on the first night as we arrived late and the food was really nice and reasonably priced. Large pizza was 17 Euros.
The hotel is fantastic and although slightly further out of the main area of barcelona, there are plenty of options for getting around. Would highly recommend.

I booked through Booking. Booking did not get my credit card and I called the hotel to directly leave my credit card details and they confirmed me that all was fine. I received another mail from booking saying that the reservation was cancelled. I called the hotel saying I called the same morning to give my details and they proposed me a new reservation at 3x the initial price. Very bad customer treatment and very bad coordination with booking

Thank you very much 249francescah for sharing with us your experience. I send you all my apologizes, we are sorry for all the inconveniences that we could cause on your reservation. The credit card policy for us and for booking.com is so restricted, due to all the booking card frauds that today exist. When the credit card details are not valid for sipay, the card holder is different from the person who come to the hotel, we rapport it and the customer has 24 hours to change it. In this case, the card was not valid and we can not hold more the reservation. I do not know if after all this situation the rates were cheaper or more expensive, but it is possible because the prices are dinamic and change every day. Hope to welcome you one day! Give us the opportunity to show you that we are worthy of your trust! Best regards from Barcelona

Never been to Barcelona before. This hotel is a few stops (about 7 mins) on the tram to the centre. The hotel is lovely, on arrival the man on reception spent 20 mins telling us all the information we asked for. The bedroom wasn’t massive, the bed was, but it was very adequate, spotlessly clean and I was grateful for the free safety deposit box in the room. Lovely fluffy towels that were changed daily by maid service, which was also excellent. The small pool and bar area was also good, and prices at that bar were very reasonable. We booked the hotel room only and never ate in the hotel or used the downstairs bar so I cannot comment on that. The hotel is so well located for a good selection of bars and restaurants all within a short walk. Also a few good ladies clothes shops and excellent bread and patisserie shops. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel as a base for a stay in Barcelona, it is cheaper and quieter than staying centrally, the staff cannot do enough for you, and getting around with a travel card is easy and inexpensive.

Bespoke hotel, perfectly situated a few mins from la Rambla, wonderful rooms, very pleasant & professional staff.
Only one issue, breakfast could be a LOT better, very limited choice, poorly stocked OR not cooked at all. Tiny toaster took an eternity to run a cycle & each piece of bread needed toasting twice to get any colour on it. 2 coffee machines, but one was constantly out of service. Hot plate under stocked at best, empty at worst, & after waiting more than 20 mins we gave up & went to the cafe around the corner ☹️
Hotel breakfast was definitely not worth the €23 euros per person charge.

This hotel is not a 4 star. A 3 star at best. Only part that looks like the pictures is the lobby and pool area (the only modern parts of the hotel). Corridors and bedrooms are very outdated and grubby with plug sockets hanging off walls. They told us our room was on the 9th floor but the elevator only went to floor 8 no one mentioned the steep flight of stairs we would have to climb with our luggage. No help was offered. The generator next to our room kept us up. Beds are rock hard, pillows are half empty. Tv volume did not work.

I would not reckoned staying here.

We stayed at this hotel after 4 nights in a H10 4 star hotel in the Marina which cost the same price and they are worlds apart.

Thank you very much 631ainsleyg for sharing with us your experience. We regret that you did not find the hotel you expected. In fact you booked then an standar double room and we offered to you a rooftop room, the highest room in the hotel, we only have 2 and our clients love them. It is a superior one that we thought that you would like, not only for the views, also for the amenities and extra facilities we gave you for free, although it had many stairs to arrive. We were wrong in this assignment, maybe you had preferred the standar in the 3rd flat that you had previosly assigned, so your feedback has given us the opportunity to learn a lot, thank you. Best regards, Marta Alamany GM Hotel

Bring the universal adapter. We got ours from Amazon. While there use their blow dryer. I automatically used mine which was too powerful for their circuits. Blew it up. Very very accommodating front desk. Will supply just about anything you need. Off topic but the little bakery on the corner is perfect for breakfast
