Excellent service and good quality food well prepared

Even after reading all the great reviews we were pleasantly surprised. As many have mentioned the service is congenial and professional, their timing impeccable, good attention to detail. We were there on a Sunday when the menu del día is 31 euros per person, which given the food selections and quality is very reasonable. You get a first course, a second course and dessert, your choice from about 8 different options each. And then if you add the wine or cava , which they continously refill, it is very good value for the quality and quantity. Weekday lunch, Tuesday through Friday, is about half the price. The restaurant is very small, about 10 tables, and most of them were occupied by locals who know the restaurant and each other. Reservations are a must. But making a reservation is the tough part, they do not have a web site and the phone they have listed is not answered, we just walked over. Ambience is quiet and traditional, with drapes, soft music, linens, etc. Very pleasant and civilized. We will be back and highly recommended this restaurant.

Hidden gem

Gorgeous food and excellent service. We had been recommended to this restaurant as we were staying in a district outside of Barcelona centre. It didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing and service was indisputable. A hidden gem - if you are in the area please definitely go. It will not disappoint.

You "gotta eat here!" Fixed menu experience!

We LOVED this restaurant for our final date night in Barcelona! €27 for fixed menu with many unique choices, 8€ delish bottle of red wine, and cheesecake/flan you cannot turn down with great espresso! Plus, in this small charming restaurant you are treated like royalty, the service from this 3 person show I would rate 5 stars! My glass was never empty. Grilled squid. Fois gras we're our faves:) Enjoy!

A bottle of wine and a piece of quiet

Just for a quit dinner for me and my wife, the evening was great. Various wines, food is good and the ambiente is nice. We waited a little bit longer than we expected for the good but as long as the wine is con the tablero, the problem is not so big :)

A hot and sunny Sunday in Barcelona. We finished our lazy morning and were up for good food. Quite by pure luck we found this place. It is hidden in a no name street with a small sign. It is hardly noticeable. But the restaurant was full ! We were lucky to get the last available table. The audience seemed to be mainly locals. For a fixed price you get a wide offer for starter, main course and dessert. I went for the roasted eggplant and bell peppers with brie cheese and olives. It was a surprisingly tasty thing. For the main dish, we remained prudent and had the paella. They know how to do it ! And they presented it well. We were running out of time, so the dessert was an easy brownie. Given you're in Barcelona, the quality of the food and the service, this is a hidden gem. I hope they'll have a table next time I'm in Barcelona

Nice restaurant in St. Gervasi, out from the tourist travel. Little price for good (and very much) food. Reccomend Paella, Pescado del dia (fish of the day) every day e different type.

The duck was delicious we recommend it. Pork was a bit dry. Very good service. Starters very good as well. I recommend to go for the full menu, 27 euro are a good price.

This Michelin-recommended fixed price restaurant lived up to its billing. We were disappointed the dish recommended by the Michelin critic is no longer on the menu, but what we had was excellent. I especially enjoyed the duck.

Fantastic food at a great price

We visited la taula on a Wednesday evening and the menu (26euros) was fantastic value and the wine included was great too. The food was amazing with lots of choice and everything was delicious. The service was also excellent. One of our best meals in Barcelona!

La Taula is one of those restaurants that have been able to preserve a very high service standard while at the same time, modernizing the menu. Best place for dinner in Barcelona

It's our 4th visit to Barcelona and also 4th year when we have La Taula as The Place to take dinner! Menu is half the price of tourist area restaurants, and the taste is simply great! Even though we tried other restaurants, it is by far the best place for us! Fresh fish, very good meet, and a lot of Cava, of course :) Portions from menu are pretty large, very good value for the money, including starters, main course and desert, plus wine and cava. We reccomend this small restaurant to everyone!

Excellent find

We visited this quaint restaurant for a friends birthday and chose it from tripadvisor. It was within walking distance from where we were staying. Food, service and ambiance were exquisite and made for a very special occasion. Communication was interesting as none of us spoke one another's language and needed to translate the menu which added to our memorable experience. Would highly recommend a visit.

Good, but to traditional

I expected to have some traditional Catalan meals. We opted for the surprise menu, without knowing the different courses (owner wouldn't tell after asking). Well, it's foie, salmon, cheese and moelleux. Everything was well prepared, but it was not the Catalan food I expected. Rather an all European classic menu. I I had known, I would have choosen a la carte.
