Horrible experience. Booked through Booking.com 4 months prior to my planned trip. Was notified 5 weeks before that they had a problem verifying my VISA, and cancelled the booking from their side. I called the hotel, and they front-desk told me they cannot do anything, it is their software. And could not re-book, I had to write, but did not hear back.
Reading more reviews this is happening to a lot of visitors. Guessing these rooms will be rebooked at a better rate for the hotel. Had to find another hotel, which so close to the dates is 50% more expensive in average.
Outright unethical behaviour.
