As services are being phased back in post COVID quarantine, my husband and I really needed a change of scenery so we headed to Bloomfield to stay at Sunrise B and B. Pulling into the laneway, we were immediately struck by the colourful, immaculate garden and the lovely yellow house. Joan came out immediately to greet us with a mask on and showed us around. We had the entire place to ourselves because Joan and John were being super cautious about the possibility of virus spread so unless guests were staying with friends in both rooms they were only renting out one room at a time. The sitting areas, the living room and our queen room were sparkling clean and cozy and the large bathroom was pristine. There were lysol wipes and hand sanitizer in numerous spots. We enjoyed a drink on the private guest deck before dinner. The house was refreshingly cool and in addition to the central air, our room had a portable air conditioner and a ceiling fan. We slept like logs in the very comfortable Queen bed which had sublimely sift sheets. Breakfasts were lovely and abundant. Joan’s muffins are country sized and served with her home made preserves. The omelette and quiche were delicious and filled one of us until dinner. John and Joan masked up to serve us.
Joan and John are professional and stellar hosts. They are enthusiastic, kind and knowledgeable. I agree with another reviewer who said some B and B hosts seem lacklustre after being in the business for so long. Not Joan and John! Every effort to make our stay comfortable was made. Their service and amenities are AAA. Now we know what to expect, we will most certainly be returning to the Sunrise B and B.

We booked 3 nights at the Sunrise in August 2021 and found that the accomodation and the level of service were a cut above even after vacationing 20 times in the County. Needless to say, we booked another three night’s stay in August 2022. We greatly enjoy the breakfast conversations with our hosts Joan and John. The gourmet style breakfasts are unbeatable and the location of the Sunrise is perfect being a stone’s throw from Sandbanks, Picton or Wellington. The rooms are spacious. We highly recommend this B&B!

The best BnB to stay at if visiting the area. Located in the charming town of Bloomfield, within walking distance of foodie gems like Bermuda PEC, Bloomfield Public House and Flame and Smith, this bnb is unlike any other. Two bedrooms available (queen and king) both with ensuites located on the 2nd floor. A living room area is yours to enjoy, as is a beautiful patio which overlooks a lovely garden and acres of green space. The breakfast are varied and delicious and the hosts are friendly. We've been staying at Sunrise for likely 10 yrs now and the hosts are now like family to us. Cannot recommend this location enough if you're in the area to visit wineries, spend time at Sandbanks, or want to visit the many art studios in the area of Prince Edward County.

We have now stayed for two summers and we won't stay anywhere else! The attention to detail is unmatched and they always makes us feel right at home. The entire B&B is spotless, breakfast is consistently delicious and the backyard is beyond beautiful. We are already looking forward to our visit next summer.

The Sunrise B&B is a gem! My husband and I have stayed at the Sunrise B&B for the last four years and look forward to our stay in June 2024. The entire B&B is spotless! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The yard is beautifully landscaped and there is a private deck for guests. Guests also have exclusive use of a comfortable living room with a big screen TV. The breakfast is plentiful and the best I’ve had of any B&B. The property is on the main strip, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, golf, the property backs onto the railroad path for walking, running, biking. Joan and John are excellent hosts-so attentive and informative. We’ve so enjoyed our annual getaway at the Sunrise B&B.

My husband and I have stayed at Sunrise at least 10 times in the past 10 years and we won't stay anywhere else when going to Prince Edward County for a weekend away. The house is beautiful, rooms are big and the bathrooms are newly renovated. Beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are very well appointed. The property is stunning, with a private patio in the back and the hosts are gardeners, so it is beautiful back there. LOcated walking distance to a few shops and restaurants that are well worth visiting. The hosts, Joan and John are a delight. Highly recommend staying here!

I stayed at SunRise Bed and Breakfast on the long weekend in May and it was an enjoyable experience. It is a beautiful home , nicely decorated and clean. The room I had was spacious and extremely clean with a very comfortable bed. Joan and John are wonderful hosts and made me feel welcome. The breakfasts are extra ordinary tasteful with freshly baked pastries and very generous servings. I will be sure to stay there again if in Bloomfield.

Again, I cannot say enough about SunRise Bed and Breakfast in Bloomfield, Prince Edward County. This was the 2nd time we have stayed with Joan. The home is spotless, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. The breakfast is fantastic and delicious. SunRise Bed and Breakfast is central to all attractions in Prince Edward County. You are in very good hands with Joan and John. You will not be disappointed!

Gus and I won't spend a lot of time describing this B&B other than to say it is spotless, comfortable and welcoming. Joan and John provide very friendly, superior accommodation. The breakfast is fabulous and very filling. Their home is located in central Prince Edward County on Main St., Bloomfield and makes it very easy to see all parts of the County. You will not be disappointed.

Wow!! We just had our third visit to Sunrise and it was a great couple of days. John & Joan are wonderful hosts with lots of knowledge and history of the County and tips on where to go and what to do. Bloomfield itself is changing with microbreweries and restaurants within walking distance. After Joan’s delicious homemade continental breakfast you won’t need to eat until dinner time!
