The Inn on Capelin Bay has got to be one of the best B&B’s I’ve ever stayed at. Kevin is the ultimate Superhost … fantastic breakfast prepared by a guy who is relentlessly cheerful, helpful and full of local knowledge. Anyone planning to stay along the shore during their NL visit has got to check this place out. One tip: Kevin’s standard breakfast is massive. If you just want a normal breakfast be sure to let him know you’re serious so that he’s not prepping food that will go into the garbage.
The Inn itself is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and everything is just quiet and peaceful.
Do yourself a favour and book a room at the Inn on Capelin Bay. You won’t be sorry.

What a beautiful spot for one or a few nights stay. The room is spacious, the view amazing, the breakfast features local ingredients and the host is very friendly and a great cook. Beautifully presented plates with whatever you ordered the night before - pancakes, sausage/bacon, eggs done your way, hashbrowns, yogurt cup, beans, fruit, coffee/tea, orange juice. And lots of local stories to go with the meal. :-) I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with Kevin for one night on our adventure hiking the East Coast Trail in Newfoundland. It was an exceptional b&b. Beautiful views, lovely modern bedrooms, scrupulously clean. We ate dinner there, it was delicious and breakfast the next morning was fabulous. Kevin was very accommodating and let us make sandwiches in the kitchen. Our dog also enjoyed the stay! Hope to be back.

We booked a room for Sept 9th and 10th, 2020. On the 9th we received a phone call from Kev the owner, telling us he overbooked the Inn. but, could offer us accommodations at a cabin, belonging o a friend, for one night and come to the Inn in the morning for breakfast, and check into the Inn for the second night. We were offered a discount of $ 20 per night. We accepted this offer. We were told to call Kev, when we arrived at the Inn, and he would meet us there to show us how to get to the cabin. We arrived at 3 pm, the time we confirmed with Kev, and called him as agreed. The call to Kev went to voice mail, so we left a message, and decided to tour the area near the Inn and wait for Kev to call us. We called him a couple more times, and after not having our calls returned, we left town and booked a hotel in St. John's. We have not to this day, Sept 16th, heard from the owner of the Inn. If this was in the peak tourist season, we could have been without a place to stay. This is no way to run a business! Roland

What a wonderful place and host! We stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. We were in Harriet's room, king sized comfortable bed and what a view. Place was clean, comfortable and welcoming.

We stayed there specifically as it was a short 50 steps to Sean Sullivan's Song House in Calvert.

Kevin's breakfast was to die for. The yogurt/granola/fruit, the pancakes, the egg muffins, the scrambled eggs, and all the rest was enough for us to skip lunch that day.

And what a wonderful host is he, that Kevin!

Staying with Kevin at The Inn on Capelin Bay should not be missed. Kevin is a 5 star host who goes out of his way to care for his guests. It's true, Kevin's breakfasts are supberb.
Our bedroom was in seperate house attached to the main house. It was cozy and had everything necessary for a very peaceful stay. We will return to stay here .. soon!

Can’t say enough about this B and B. Very comfortable, huge rooms with everything you could want. Easy to find. Kevin is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We’re planning a return trip just so we can spend more time here! Highly highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in this beautiful part of Newfoundland. This accommodation without a doubt, is the best B&B we have ever stayed at in all our travels. The home, guest room and host were fabulous! The homemade full breakfast was amazing. You are within minutes of the famous "Lighthouse Picnics" attraction and more. We can't wait to return!

This is a must stay location. We had the West Wing, which is kind of like a mini cabin, (with a small deck!) Reserving and check-in was a breeze, Kevin is a fantastic host- we stayed two nights, with another couple of friends that were travelling with us. Room was extremely clean and comfortable! Beautiful views, convenient to restaurant, World Heritage site at Ferryland, Sullivan's Songhouse right next door, hiking trails and more. Be ready to be hungry in the morning when you show up for breakfast- you fill in what you want from a huge list the night before and Kevin cooks it! No coffee and a muffin here- sausage, eggs, pancakes, granola and yogurt, home fries, toast, lots of coffee tea and juices are just a few things that come to mind. You want to be ready to go out and plough a field or something after eating!

We had a very comfortable stay at this B&B. Kevin, the owner, provided a generous and delicious breakfast. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the view from the adjoining balcony was spectacular.
