I would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff is very nice and helpful. The Hotel is clean and has A/C; WIfi works fine and everywhere in the hotel. Location is excellent.
Taxis are always available in front of the hotel. I was there for an exhibition in Fira, so taxi cost me around 13 euros each time. There is also a super market in the corner of the street, as well as a bakery and café next to the hotel.

Worst hotel ever! They made me and my 80 year old parents wait 9 hours to check in!! they only use AC for their employees. They allow smoking, they ran out of hot water we had to take cold showers 2 days in a row!! Don’t book off season bcuz they don’t want you there at all and will be rude to you! At our Globus welcome dinner the staff REFUSED to serve us water for 2 hours while they served other people! 2 hours and when I got up to get some she almost smacked my hand! Which the manager actually did smack my adult sister’s hand when she tried to grab an extra snack cake they have out by the coffee for our 8 hour trip into the mountains of Spain! Smacked her 57 year old hand!! These people will ruin your vacation with a smile on their face as they talk smack about you! They think Americans are stupid and trust me they will treat you accordingly!! I mean to allow people off the street to walk in smoking is unbelievable to me but it happened A LOT!! The elevators stopped working and always smelled of smoke and sometimes you’d get stuck in it so I just used the stairs the whole time!! I’m telling you in my almost 50 years of traveling the world I’ve NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY AT A HOTEL!!!

first of all, sorry for all the inconveniences you could live in our hotel. It is always far from our intentions.
And also thank you for sharing your perception because it gives us the opportunity to know better the guest experience.
I can not fix the past but be sure that we will take all your suggestions in order to improve.
My colleagues try to speak with you several times to explain better the situation.
You were in a touristic trip and you arrived before, due to your personal flight.
In this case, when a passenger arrives at 5-6 in the morning, if we have a room available, although the checkin time is at 3 p.m, we offer the early checkin . But in this case it was not possible.
We had another group in house, and the checkout was at 12 p.m. so, we gave to you the room keys as soon as we could do it and with the condition terms you had on your reservation.
The checkins, we made before yours, were superior, suites and other kind of rooms, not the type your travel agency were booked for you in special.
Our recommendation when you have large flights is booking a room the day before your arrival and then you assure it is available. In fact many passengers in groups do it.
I use your note to confirm that smoking is not allowed in any common area of our hotel, we have terraces and smoking rooms reserved if someone wants to smoke. Nobody told us that there were people smoking and we did not notice because it is a serious misconduct for us and we have indicators informing about this matter in all our walls.
Referring to the AC, we have not aircon during the winter season, we have only central heating, so for this reason you could not set it on, but neither our crew. It is technically not possible.
The water in all our groups is at table but I agree with you, food and drinks are to be taken in the dining room, they cannot be taken outside. This is the rule of all our dinners. You can dinner all that you want but always inside the dining-room. I am sorry if any of our crew seemed then to be rude. This was not our intention.
I understand that you were upset with this rule but we could not differentiate from the rest of the passengers in your group who were all of a similar age (70-80 years old).
I guess for all this misunderstandings, as we told to you in the hotel, we could not met your expectations as we always pretend. I am so sad for this "poorly" perception you mentioned and I send you all my best regards.

Unfortunately this hotel missed the mark on so many levels. I was there for a conference and recommend hotels for my clients. This property so needs a refresh. The first room I went into smelled like stale cigarettes and was musty. Ughh. Then I was moved to the room next door. A little better in the scent category, but oh my does this hotel need a renovation. My tub had major RUST and the chairs were torn. bed squeaked which was unbelievable. I would not rank this higher than a two star property. Apparently the lobby is under renovation so you had to take an elevator (if you have luggage) or walk down to the lower level to check in. It was the holidays and while the rest of the city is decorated, they had two small black modern-ish trees with lights. Wow! That'll get you into the holiday spirit.

But I can not understand very well your feedback because this year we only had the renovation of our rooftop and swimmimg pool but not the lobby as you have mentioned.
And also we have no small black trees in the hall, we ordered all the Christmas decoration to a designer of the city, so I guess that you were not in this hotel or you stayed here before December maybe.

Very nice, modern hotel. Extremely nice staff too and very helpful. The rooms were quiet. Well supplied. The breakfast they offered was buffet style. Plenty of food and they kept the dining room clean
