Write a reviewStayed for 3 nights in May, Front counter people are friendly and helpful, located 10 mins walk to L7 line Metro which will take you down to Catalunya Pl where all the action and shopping are. Due to it is end station so you won't get lost for returning back to hotel. Room is big and bathroom has both shower and tub. convenient for 2 person to use at same time. Surrounding has 2 nice pastry shop and a number of cafe, also a grocery store by the Metro. The only thing to pick on is the shower floor in my room use small tiles which is very uneven and feels dirty.

Stayed 2 nights pre and post a cruise from Barelona
Staff freindly and helpful
The hotel is quiet and in a mainly residential area of the city. Only some of the rooms have been upgraded- booked a double got a twin on both occassions
The air-conditioning was almost non existant, making the room stuffy, (opening the window give you the privilalge of listening to traffic on a major road)
Bar food very limited menu- Breakfast at E13 seemed expensive
Tapas and better priced food available at local cafe/taverna - 1 block away
Walking distance ( 5mins) to the Barcelona Underground station

Bespoke hotel, perfectly situated a few mins from la Rambla, wonderful rooms, very pleasant & professional staff.
Only one issue, breakfast could be a LOT better, very limited choice, poorly stocked OR not cooked at all. Tiny toaster took an eternity to run a cycle & each piece of bread needed toasting twice to get any colour on it. 2 coffee machines, but one was constantly out of service. Hot plate under stocked at best, empty at worst, & after waiting more than 20 mins we gave up & went to the cafe around the corner ☹️
Hotel breakfast was definitely not worth the €23 euros per person charge.

Room Tip: Unless the breakfast has improved, I wouldn’t pay for it - go room only & eat out.

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel Catalonia steps away from the main square around the old cathedral and Medieval ramparts of Barcelona. Words cannot express our love for this city and this hotel. I have travelled extensively in Europe and your hotel in the cities are sometimes iffy in cleanliness or location or security. We were worried about staying in the inner city due to the reports of theft, and pick pockets and other crime. We had zero problems! Every morning we awoke to another beautiful blue sky and view of a corner of the square. For breakfast we indulged in a large croissant and cafe con leche in the cafe facing the cathedral! Breathtaking. The hotel was quiet clean and safe. It is conveniently located in the middle of a fantastic pedestrian shopping district and next door to the tourist bureau. Everything is in walking distance or by train or subway which is around the corner. We did not have a chance to enjoy the roof top pool as the weather was cool, nor did we eat at the hotel but the menus as well as the offering and atmosphere were enticing! The staff were friendly and helpful. Price was very decent for such a clean, Central European hotel. Rooms were small but very modern and comfortable. Do not hesitate to stay here! I can't wait to go back next year, God willing!!
