Negatives This is 99% Italian holiday resort for locals. This isn’t a negatives because of Italians as they are respectful and decent people. The problem is the language barrier as many of the staff cannot speak English and we could not speak Italian, the food is geared towards italians. Most British kids don’t like fresh fish, I have a fussy eater and he really struggled and none of the signs are in English. So you arrive on day 1 nothing in the room to explain the resort, you end up missing half the stuff because you only find out mid week when you meet the only other English family in the resort. All the entertainment is in Italian. The pizzeria only serves 3 pizzas, no mixing of toppings and pepperoni isn’t 1 of the 3 pizzas they serve. Margarita, ham or ham and olives. Also, the lack of shading means you are expected to eat hot pizza in the blazing sun. It is unbearable. It’s not all inclusive- you have to pay for ice creams, cans of coke if you want a proper drink, bottles of water which you do end up buying because The drinks are served in pathetic 150ml cups, These are just ridiculous. It’s literally a mouthful of juice, water, beer, wine. The ques for drinks are huge, so you cannot possible get enough drinks in for a family of 4, you literally spend half your holiday in ques to get pathetic tiny drinks. Expensive taxis to and from airport 46 euros for a 20 min taxi ride. This is the most expensive taxi ride I have had to and from a hotel in the world, and I’ve travelled a lot! The resort is massive and probably hold up to around 4000, there was probably 2000/3000 when we were there this August. You can imagine buffet style meals...ques, ques and more ques. And none of the staff serving your food speak English, brush up on Italian quick. Reception is a joke, always busy and understaffed and they don’t all speak English, wait 20 minutes and then get a lady who doesn’t speak English. Thank God for google translate, even then it was painful because although you can ask a question in Italian you don’t understand their answer!
Overall, we enjoyed it because we were desperate for some sun and to get away after lockdown. But I wouldn’t return and I wouldn’t recommend it.

We went at Citta del Mare for the first time July 19 and went again in September 19 with family and friends. We were all left breathless with the excellent value for money we got in return. This year 2020 we did the extra mile and went in August the best time of the year to visit Sicily in Ferragosto. As it was during our 1st stay, we found all clean rooms, big crystal clear pools, great restaurants with superb food to choose from, and excellent entertainment pkus super customer service. All this was possible thanks to a perfect organiser Letizia Muscat, who is always alert and ready to keep an eye for detail. Our contact point from Malta to Citta Del Mare Letizia gave us a perfect joliday. As it was in past visits she took care of her clients to make them feel like home and welcome. She was available 24/7 on her mobile and she made it a point to reach us during our meals so that to be sure everything was up to standard

Since we took the all inclusive, several drinks where mixed with water and obviously were diagusting! Wines for instance are not even good to cook, let alone to drink! animation: poor animation team this year compared with previous ones, not much energy,charisma, very little activities. They did the show at the amphitheatre which is not accessible by everyone! Plus the shows where not of a very good standard! Restaurants: there is a good number of options where to dine but the system is nothing but a farse! You have to download an app which does not work! Wait for an email confirmation the following day saying confirmed or not, you will never receive this email! There is a desk manned with i believe the FB manager who is to say the least super unprofessional, at some point he even told us to book after midnight for it to work? For real?? When asked what do people do that dont have access to applications he just goes, nothing! You need to have an app or otherwise you cant go to other restaurants! A big joke! They dont take bookings manually. Sort it out because this is crazy! This place is a gem so take care of it, start by changing how things are done and improving what people give you as feedback!

CDS hotels Terrasini Cita del mare cater for a wide spectrum of holidaymakers. The whole complex is nestled on the rocky coast of the Castellammare Golfo, half an hour away from the Palermo airport. Our accommodation was basic but specious, clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff was always making sure that we have plenty of clean towels and toiletries providing the same time their excellent service. CDS hotels employs a crew of ANIMATORI headed by Alex . Over our stay we got to know few very well by their first names. Emiliano master tennis coach who played tennis with my husband and made him very happy by doing that. There is wonderful and sweet Noemi who I did soft stretching and aqua gym with. Andra was daily entertaining us with his banter from the side of the pool providing music the same time. These young people from the morning till night have been entertaining us helping us to stay happy and fit by doing lots of different activities just to mention few: tennis sessions, soft stretching, acqua gym, teaching basic salsa steps by the pool, baby club, baby disco, karaoke, music bingo and others. Animatori are always friendly and happy interacting with holidaymakers. There is an army of gardeners, cleaners, restaurant and bars staff working tirelessly. Hotel owns private beach which is accessible by a short ride by beach shuttle. Gino the driver is very friendly and accommodating. Lovely Marianna provides refreshments at the beach bar. CDS hotels has also resident live singer and a photographer. Vast restaurant offers variety of food hot and cold something to choose from and unlimited drinks of all sorts starting with water and finishing with wines. The complex has few restaurants, bars, swimming pools and incredibile set of slides with the last one leading into the sea on the rocky cliff. This feature is very popular with children and not only. All and all our holidays in CDS hotels Terrasini Cita del mare was very enjoyable, we can recommend it to out friends and family.

This hotel is at a wonderful location, especially if someone likes walking and is in good shape fitness-wise. It is located on a nice hill, with beautiful view to the sea. There are a lot of buildings with rooms and the view is amazing from everywhere. Environment is also beautiful, with nice trees, little paths, and plenty of steps :) Everything is accessible via wheelchair too, but that's longer.
The rooms are quite big, but the bathroom is pretty small. Each room has a balcony with chairs. In the bathroom 3 type of towels are provided per person and they are changed daily. Free toiletry is also available. Wifi is free of charge and pretty good.
There are quite a few pools, but the big one, the Tobogan (group of water slides, ending in the sea) was closed - it is available only until mid September. Other than that, there is a big "olympic' swimming pool and two other smaller ones. Bar is located next to each pool, where drinks are available. At this time of the year, all inclusive package can't be booked, so we had to pay for the drinks (card and cash payment is accepted).
We booked half board. Breakfast and dinner were pretty good, the only problem is that there is a huge crowd in the restaurant. The hotel was not full at all, I can't imagine how crowded the restaurant can be in high season. Variety of the food is okay, but if you are on gluten or lactose free diet, then you won't have too much to choose from. Soft drinks, beer and wine are included in dinner. If you are on half board but want to have lunch, the only option for you is to go to the bar next to the reception, where you can get sandwich, croissant, cookies, etc. Or you can order something from outside, but you need to go to the main gate to pick up your food, because such delivery can't come inside the property. Please keep in mind that this experience is from low season. In high season, all inclusive package can be booked.
Staff is nice, but some of them don't speak English very well, while some of them do.
Check out time is 10 AM, but for 50 EUR you can stay in the room until 5 or 6 PM - you need to apply for this on the day before your departure.
All in all, this is a great place to stay, even with those little problems mentioned above.

We went for a 3 day break at this resort. The rooms were clean and spacious and with a nice balcony with seaviews. The famous toboggan was very nice. However the resort cannot handle the amount of people it handles. Restaurants are overcrowded and although it is a buffet you may easily spend 10 minutes waiting for a number of items. There is no variety in food not even from a day to day. Food changes from each day are minimal. There are two restaurants that are included in the all inclusive by booking. One of them il siciliano is great, the other however the Pizzeria, we spent the whole holiday trying to book but we never managed so it was impossible to go and have a meal there.
Then there are the drinks. First of all everything is served into small glasses even water so if you are thirsty following some time near the pool you have to re order a number of times. There are queues in a number of bars as staff are at a minimum in especially the busy areas (near the olympic pool and near the pizzeria).
Some things to recommend, if anyone wishes for a holiday here the shuttle offered by the resort is very comfortable and cheap in terms of money. The driver however may ask you to buy him a drink from the airport.
Also during the last day we lost our lunch due to the timing of flight, they provided us with a packed lunch which although was simple, we did not expect it and we appreciated.

We made reservations to stay at Citta Del Mare resort for three nights in a family room directly with the resort’s reservations office. We arrived at 3:00 and were told that there were no family rooms available and so we were given two rooms side by side. We are traveling with three children and so this was not ideal. Anyway, here’s what you should know: 1) air conditioning didn’t work in multiple buildings (and Sicily is hot!); 2) we had ants everywhere in both rooms and other families complained about the same thing so the problem is widespread (they literally gave us a bottle of ant killer, picture attached); 3) the pools with connecting slides are in dire need of refurbishment; 4) meals are edible and that’s about all; 5) getting problems like air conditioning resolved proved impossible and so we left (at least four other families did so as well); 6) there was a plumbing issue outside of the rooms next to ours that caused wastewater to go all over the floor (they mopped it up but it smelled like 💩 for a while and I’m fairly certain that they never used bleach or any disinfectant). This was basically a huge disappointment.

My husband and I have just returned from 10 days at this hotel and we loved it! Our room was in 'Arca' block and was central to all the amenities. The manger Jan Franko was a great host to us and looked after us well along with his team. Even in our 50s we loved the water slides into the sea which was expertly kept safe one the the life guards . We went snorkelling many times where the life guards were also watching to keep everyone safe. To too it all the beach bar by the slides was fun by a chap Charlie who was extremely helpful, friendly and lots of informative information a out the island and area. He kept us hydrated too,even making up his own amazing drinks is for us. The shuttle to the beach was efficient and catered well at busy times were more transport was added. A!so the beach bar served all inclusive drinks a r Marianna was also so friendly and also worked hard to keep us hydrated . She even got to know our favourite, "Charlie Charlie special" drink. Great team work. Room modern,cooled by great air conditioning ( 24 hours even with keycard out) and we had the most amazing views from our balacony. They will stay with me forever as we had a different sunset every night too. Food varied, plenty offered and enjoyed authentic Sicilian food for the first time. The manager Jan Franco was hands on helping in all areas were needed to support which we found amazing . The room facilities are great , room cleaned daily by great ,happy, cheerful cleaners. We loved this place and will be back soon. Easy transfer from airport only 20mins .Perfect relaxing holiday and didn't need to go anywhere else as this resort does so much. Pools,crazy bolc,assorted restraints on site too. Got local bus to town Terrassini which was a lovely visit. All in all a great time. Thank you team.

Thanks to Letizia Muscat and all the friendly staff at Citta del Mare, we had a very relaxing 5 day stay. They were very kind with my husband who is coeliac and hence required gluten free food. One particular night these was a lot of noise coming from a particular room and investigated immediately when i informed reception. Very clean pools, delicious food, ongoing entertainment. Just a small suggestion to maintain the kids play ground in a better state. Will surely visit again.

We have recently returned from 10 days in Sicily based at the CDS Hotels in Terrasini on a fully inclusive basis. The resort is advertised on Loveholidays web-site as 4 star, we would say it was more in line as a 2 star, rather like an Italian Butlins with 98% of italians occupancy. The holiday was over priced. The Italians were not really aware of social distancing and it certainly was not apparent in the dining room although face masks were worn whilst queuing for food if you can call it queuing they just barged in at the food station. Food quality was not up to Italian standards and hot food was generally cold. At the bars around the resort you were served drinks in tiny plastic cups which basically one swallow and the liquid was gone.
The Room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom had signs of mildew in the shower and and there was a faint smell of sewage. The weather was good and swimming in the sea which made up for the holiday. We arranged our own Taxi's (Airport Taxi company) rather than the Hotel recommended Taxi's as they charged per passenger making trips 39% more expensive.

Public transport are available but something difficult to organise. Timetable are not great.
U cpuld get taxis or rent à car to Palermo for 100 euros à day which is good and motorways there are free . And its quite an expérience to drive there ! Hope my comment will help
There are more places to choose from in the Terrasini area.
