Nice fish and restaurant, fish was fresh and well presented, portions could be a bit bigger. Mixed started were delicious and typical. What I liked is that it was really for locals, mid-upper level in an elegant area of Barcelona.

Good restaurant in Barcelona where to eat seafood and seasonable dishes. The only thing to consider is that it is not a place where you will find youth. But food is top one!

Great service. Delicious fresh local peas with small silver onions and tinily cut pieces of ham and cococha and turbot and could resist the very affordable baby eel. Not pretentious. Just a lovely local restaurant.

We were really looking forward to this restaurant after reading some 5 star reviews however we were very disappointed. We found the portions to be tiny and the prices high. My husband ordered Crab au gratin for a main course costing €27 and when it came it was served in a scallop shell which was half full. No bread or salad was offered with it although it resembled fish pate. This was a very small portion for a main course. I had fish and 3 or 4 very thin a slices of potato swimming in oil. We left the restaurant feeling very dissatisfied and will definitely not return.

This place is expensive, but considering the many good dining experiences in Barcelona, I thought this would be great. Unfortunately, there was nothing great about our dinner there at all. They seem to be known for their seafood, and yet the fish dish was so bad neither of us wanted to finish it. The seafood soup was ok but watery and a distant cousin of boullibase lacking in much flavor. The "ox tail stew" was 5 ox bones with a little meat on them and precise 4 "sugar cube" sized potatoes in a braised gravy - neither stew nor meat dish. The tiny morsels of meat were not bad, but this is more of an appetizer. The bread was cold and we were charged 2.50 for bread. At no time where we asked how things were, or any efforts at service. We actually showed up at 6:30 pm and saw the door open and asked if we can eat - but we were told they don't open until 8. We came back at 8 after waiting 90 minutes and were told that since we don't have reservations, we would have to eat out on the "terrace" - which meant eating next to the sidewalk just a few feet away from cars on a busy street, in the cold. We mentioned we would prefer to be inside so we don't have to deal with cigarette smoke - but that was ignored, and a couple of chain smokers were placed next to us. I don't fault them for not having anyone who can speak English - since this is Spain. But they gave us about 4 different menus which was really confusing. There was an English menu with about 7 fish dishes, but the Spanish/Catalan menu had 4 fish dishes and none of them were the same prices. One menu had the fish soup at 13.50, and another at 14.50, and when our check came, they charged us 15.50. I paid the bill, and we were just finishing up, when the waiter essentially rushed us to get out. Overall, it was the one bad experience I have had with a restaurant in two years of visiting Barcelona. There are so many places that serve a complete menu of soup, main dish, and dessert for 16-18 eu, and then this pretentious place serves single sub-standard dishes for that kind of price. I am sorry I ever went there.

This restaurant is located outside city center. When entering you will find a warm wooden atmosphere. Soon we received the menu. The choice is big. We ordered different oysters for starters. For main we ordered Tartar de Atun, 16,50 €. The fish was fresh, the taste was good. One piece of cheese cake was charged with 6,75 €. The taste was good but the price was enormous high! The bottle of white wine from France, Chardonnay Louis Latour, was charged with 25,50 €. The taste was very good. Most of the staff have problems with understanding and speaking English, but finally all has worked. At least the offered and ordered bread with tomatoes was not served but charged. After my complaint it was removed from the bill. Refilling wine into the glass is self service. Due to many guests in the restaurant it was very (!) noisy. My subjective rating: Quality and preparation of meals: 4 points Service: 2-3 points Atmosphere: 3-4 points Price and value for money: 2-3 points

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, and I will always crave their dishes more than just about any in Barcelona. Their gambas al ajillo are unusually scrumptious, and their seasonal dishes also are not to be missed: fried artichokes, or if you come at the right time in spring, a peas dish (guisantes called "lagrimas") and also calçots. The restaurant has a very old school feel with wood paneling, almost as though you are in a cabin in a boat. It feels comfortingly unchangeable—like it will look and feel exactly the same 20 years from now, like your Catalan grandparents took you there, and you'll take your own kids there for long Sunday lunches.

Convenient to our hotel but service was poor and food selection was even poorer. We asked for artichokes appetizer (unavailable) and the paella on the menu (also unavailable.) waited over 15 minutes for waitstaff and another 15 minutes for wine (not surprisingly, they were out of our first selection.) Friendly locals advised to order a fish dish not on the menu; it was quite good. On balance, however, we found the problems with this restaurant far exceeded its favorable attributes.

We came here one evening after it was recommended to us from our Airbnb hosts. We where not disappointed. Everything about the evening we had was beautiful! The atmosphere, the decor, the amazing staff and of course the 5star food! I had the most amazing Chiperones (whole fried baby squid) which I wish I had ordered more of! Probably one of the best I've had in Spain! The whole meal threw out was delicious, we really enjoyed our meal and hope to come again soon.

I live just 100 meters from this nice restaurant. I try to go when ever I can cause the food and service is excellent always. The sea food is fresh and cooked perfectly. They also serve half rations so you can try many nice things they have. Wine list is adequate with nice reds and some very good white wines.A most try to anyone looking for a very good food and great service. Keep it up Juan.

This restaurant maintains the atmosphere and quality that is disappearing in Barcelona. Great food, and reasonable prices, the lunch menu very good value. Our second visit, no disappointments, make sure you reserve.

Just a bit above the Segrada Familia and in a very upscale neighborhood frequented by well to do locals. Terrific service, white table cloths, and a diverse menu and lovely wines makes this a sure bet. Order the Lobster and rice for (2) amazing, and the garlic scampi for a starter is also quite nice, as is the calamari. A diverse desert menu (creama Cataylun) is wonderful. All for maybe $65-70 Get away from the tourists, and have a lovely lunch or Dinner here
