Travellers can choose between flying into Girona-Costa Brava Airport (airport code GRO) and El Prat Airport (airport code BCN). Girona-Costa Brava Airport is also called Barcelona Girona Airport. It is about 12 kilometres outside of Girona, as opposed to El Prat Airport which is a little over an hour’s drive from Girona.
The upside to flying into El Prat Airport is that almost 40 times as many flights are scheduled to the airport.
