What travellers are saying
- BigMerkGlasgow, UK2,556 contributionsWe were only in Barcelona overnight pre-cruise but we managed to pre-book tickets for an inside visit to Sagrada Familia. Our ticket time was 10.15 but we turned up about 20 minutes early and were allowed access inside. The outside of the church is stunning and you could spend literally hours staring at the carvings and keep identifying something new. But inside it’s truly breathtaking with its huge open space, beautiful stained glass windows and large altar. We did not have time for a visit to the towers which open a bit later but we were well-pleased with what we managed to see.Written July 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hallidaynyNew York City, New York148 contributionsWe only went to the subterranean concert here, so we could not explore the architectuer in the floors above, but I liked going to the quick and interesting sound and light show in the basement. It was a trip! Super happy I went, and it was fast. Had time to get to dinner.Written July 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, this sparkling work of Montaner is overshadowed by hype around Gaudi's creations. The exterior is highly ornate (very nicely lighted at night). We thought the old ticket boxes in the entrance columns were really cool. Inside, there are great tiles (including tiled columns), grand stairways, the incredible multi-colored stained-glass skylight, and carved muses. The concert hall seats 2,200. We paid 16 euros each (seniors rate) for a guided tour in English (normal regular price for adults is 22 euros).Written June 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AliUnited Kingdom13 contributionsWe travelled there via metro. The walk was uphill was very steep - would be a struggle for anyone with fitness issues. We started at the top of the park. We had a great time- there are lots of different structures and areas to visit in the park. The monument area was very crowded. We spent about 3 hours in total. Well worth a visit. Take a picnic.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- VinoMikeyOrlando, FL32 contributionsThe Mercat de la Boqueria is a Barcelona must. If you're into meats, cheeses, charcuterie, antipasti, fresh seafood, and/or tapas, this is your spot! Grab a seat at Bar Boqueria, enjoy the tapas and wine, and marvel at the quality service. Freshly sliced Iberian ham is the ultimate and has now surpassed Italian prosciutto as our favorite! Amazing food everywhere you look. Just make sure you bring your appetite.
"Would you go back again?" or "Would you do it again?" or "Would you order it again?" is the question I always ask of any traveler. The answer tells me everything I need to know. The answer for the Mercat de la Boqueria? A resounding Yes! I'll make sure to make time for it our next trip there!Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I don't think the guided tour is worth it, the audioguide is very useful.Written June 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Raintree_ThailandBangkok, Thailand4,208 contributionsMagnificent church, built in the 14th century. It is relatively plain on the outside and without a great deal of art on the inside, but the incredibly high vaulted ceiling and soaring columns let great deal of light in and imbue a heavenly feeling. While there is apparently a charge to enter in the daytime, we were able to enter in the early evening without payment.Written June 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James DwyerFlackwell Heath, UK14 contributionsWe visited with two boys aged 10 and 8. Although the Nou Camp is under constriction and therefore not open, we had a brilliant trip. The museum is excellent and really well done, and the virtual tour and Robokeeper are great fun. We spent a morning there and weren’t disappointed with any of it.Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dg2014jgMagnolia, TX1,081 contributionsYour best plan is to book a hotel in this area for your visit to Barcelona. The streets are lined with trees. The restaurants are very good. The shopping is wonderful. We can walk up and down, and there are benches scattered around to take a break. I love this street.Written July 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rishab NBengaluru, India6 contributionsAfter doing Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and Palau Guell, I was worried that Casa Vicens would be a waste of time. However, it was a really lovely experience! The explanations provided by the audio guide were great and this house is a true architectural wonder! Also loved the exhibit showcasing houses by Gaudi's comtemporaries as well as the presentation of the history of the house.Written June 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BTS1972Munich, Germany3,505 contributionsOne of the jewels of Barcelona. While requiiering EUR 15 entrance fee, it is worth the money. The viwe from the roof top is nice, but not really worth the stair climbing. But it is included. In all, a must see.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
