- Thomas VOakland, CA16,992 contributionsThere are many lovely and charming neighborhoods in BCN, and this one is my absolute favorite because it is so lively, especially at night when the many cafes and bars are crowded, mostly with youth. Many narrow streets to explore and a few big squares. It is clean and offers a wide range of fresh produce and other products. You can buy to take away or you can sit in and enjoy a meal inside. The atmosphere is really pleasant. The service professional and friendly. The Market was built back in the late 19th century and was "recently" renovated, in 2009. Even though I speak minimal Spanish and even less Catalan, I found this to be totally immersive and because I was so close to the action, the body language brought the meaning to me. - MatsJ03 contributionsFor anyone with an interest in aviation this place simply has it all: a well-stocked bookstore about civil and military aviation, aircraft scale models, other accessories etc. - and flight simulators. The simulators are professional quality and very realistic: my son got two hrs in the 737 as a christmas present and found the experience absolutely awesome (and the instructor was great).
