For me this is a "hidden gem" that we were not able to visit a few years ago. It's one of the most beautiful creations of Gaudi in my opinion. It's cosy, not crowded and us has a lovely atmosphere.

There are many lovely and charming neighborhoods in BCN, and this one is my absolute favorite because it is so lively, especially at night when the many cafes and bars are crowded, mostly with youth. Many narrow streets to explore and a few big squares. You can find international food here.

This is a very pretty square in the older part of town. Nice picturesque architecture around as well as lots of places to eat and drink. We spent some lovely time here.

Cool area to walk around. Nice shopping area. Even though it's a bit classier than other parts I still found cool street art.

Mercat de la Llibertat is an excellent place to get some lovely fresh food at local prices. It is clean and offers a wide range of fresh produce and other products. You can buy to take away or you can sit in and enjoy a meal inside. The atmosphere is really pleasant. The service professional and friendly. The Market was built back in the late 19th century and was "recently" renovated, in 2009. It's worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

If you wish to taste the best local foods with reasonable prices, here is the place. After the meal, you can also walk around the market to buy Spanish ham, sausages, nuts, dates, etc., etc. You can also walk the old city and newly developed area near by.

Transfers to and from were punctual although transfer to forgot the child booster seat. Both drivers got in touch to let me know where they are as and what time they're going to be.

Five miniature theatres, five different one-act plays, an audience of only up to fifteen, sitting closer than at any other venue you've ever been to!
Even though I speak minimal Spanish and even less Catalan, I found this to be totally immersive and because I was so close to the action, the body language brought the meaning to me. Wonderful experience. I'll definitely go again.

The houses of Rocamor are three stone buildings in the Gothic style. Commissioned by the powerful Rocamor family, they feature five domes covered in bright orange ceramic tiles, one of the complex's most notable features. The Rocamora Houses were built between 1914 and 1917 by the architect Joaquim Bassegoda i Amigo.

For anyone with an interest in aviation this place simply has it all: a well-stocked bookstore about civil and military aviation, aircraft scale models, other accessories etc. - and flight simulators. The simulators are professional quality and very realistic: my son got two hrs in the 737 as a christmas present and found the experience absolutely awesome (and the instructor was great). Definitely a place that I will return to.

Very interesting point of view to understand what Spanish civil war was for lot of people. Outside the refugi they provide a brief explanation of Barcelona during that time.
