About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- marcusjI1592RC0 contributions10/10 a must doThe views were stunning. Montserrat is such a beautiful and peaceful place. If you do the wine tasting tour make sure you request Toni as your tour guide. Toni made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and ensured we knew what was happening all the time. Would definitely recommend this tour.Written July 19, 2024
- Q2993UKmar0 contributionsCaste Experience Wine TastingTook this tour with a friend and we both had an amazing time! Lesly, our guide, was so knowledgeable and funny and really made the whole experience. She was not only an expert on the history of the region and was able to teach us about it in a really engaging way that it didn’t feel like a dry, history lesson, she was also incredibly knowledgeable about the wine. I know nothing about wine, Lesly did a phenomenal job at describing each and its history along with the history of the vineyard and wine in general. She also taught us tricks on how to “know” wine and what different flavors, colors, etc mean. Without her tips, tricks, and knowledge I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did or taken away some new skills(or a bottle of the signature wine she recommended)! All in all it was a fabulous day and could not recommend it more!(this tour also included a tram ride to the black madonna, basilica, and local liqueur tasting and cheese mart that i didn’t mention but were so so much fun!!)Written July 19, 2024
- TheTraveler20530 contributionsAmazing Family Visit with a great Guide! This was an awesome trip. Montserrat was a highlight for me and my family. Berta was such a great guide. She kept entertained on the ride from Barcelona with great stories and information. She did a great job keeping us together and showing us the sites while still giving us free time. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you for a very special day Berta!Written July 19, 2024
- tathiaw0 contributionsIf you’re going to do a tour- do this oneMy daughter and I had a truly wonderful day. Montserrat was an amazing experience, full of fascinating history, heart and beauty. We both enjoyed learning and exploring. Our tapas lunch and wine tasting was an unexpected highlight, such fun to be able to enjoy good food and local wines. Vince, our guide, really helped make our day extra special by providing enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable insights throughout the day. He made an effort to connect with everyone individually while also bringing the group together. Thank you Vince. I highly recommend this experience.Written July 19, 2024

- georgeaT8518ML0 contributionsAmazing and entertaining tourWe had the pleasure of taking your tour on July 12, and I feel it’s only fair to share our experience. Vince was our amazing and passionate tour guide. He is truly a people person, passionate about his work, and it shows. Vince knew the subject matter in detail, was funny, accurate, and entertaining in his narration, keeping all the tour guests fully engaged and attentive. During the first hour of the tour, I complimented Vince on his passion and extensive knowledge. His response was, “You haven’t seen anything yet, wait until we start with the wine tasting.” He did not disappoint; his presentation about winemaking and wines was fantastic. The tour lasted 7.5 hours. Normally, the six people in my group do not enjoy tours longer than four hours, but they were completely engaged and enjoyed every second of this one. The 7.5 hours passed as if it were just one hour. Next time we are in Barcelona, we will definitely take the same tour and ask for VINCE GeorgeWritten July 19, 2024
- Lesley B A0 contributionsJudit is the best tour guide!!!Judit was amazing from start to finish! She checked us in, guided our tour, explained history of Montserrat in detail, served us wine and just made the experience top notch with her sunny outgoing personality and beautiful smile!!! - A9171QNjasonp0 contributionsHighlights tour that combines natures wonders & historical marvelsWe loved our highlight tour of the ancient Montserrat monastery, stunning natural mountain range and the Black Madonna. Our guide, Anays did a brilliant job of bringing the rich history of this remarkable location. Thank you for sharing with our family. Recommend.Written July 18, 2024
- Z2534QAdana0 contributionsThe best … don’t wait to book, because it is worth it!Wow. This was an amazing tour. Seriously. Mariana Lopez was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. The ride to the monastery was scenic and the tour itself was super informative, thanks to Mariana. The lunch was five star and the wine tasting and tour were tasty/fun. But it mostly had to do with the guide, Mariana. In all the years we have traveled, she is absolutely right there at the top! And actually, earlier in the week we did a tour of Sagrada Familia Basilica, with another tour company (Julia tours). It was terrible … nasty unhappy tour guide. I wish Castlexperience would expand to do the basilica tours. It was night and day as for the experience.Written July 18, 2024

- billcK7129WA0 contributionsMonserrat and Wine Lunch TourMonserrat was beautiful…the Oller del Mas winery was very good food and wine. Alfonso did a great job pointing out areas of interest and some history of the area…and of course he provided great humor! He gave us excellent ideas on how to determine wines we like and how/when to drink them. Pic is my first taste of very special orange wine. Thanks Alfonso!Written July 17, 2024

An unforgettable experience! The visit to Montserrat Monastery was breathtaking. The wine tasting and vineyard tour were fantastic, and the full-course Catalan lunch was delicious. Mariana, our guide, as amazing—so knowledgeable and passionate. She even gave us great recommendations for things to do and see in Barcelona after the tour. Highly recommend this tour for a perfect blend of culture, history, and fun!

While Montserrat and the winery were great on their own, the day wouldn't have been nearly as nice without our guides. The time on bus ride to the mountain was filled with stories that gave us context for what we were about to see. While at Montserrat, we were given added insight and recommendations about how to spend our time. (I highly recommend the museum.)
Thank you Lesly!

We had a lovely time at Montserrat and the winery. Thaís was our guide and was FANTASTIC! She was so knowledgeable and flexible. She gave excellent reviews through the entire tour. We felt lucky to have her as our guide. Ask to see photos of her dog Diego, he is SO cute! We enjoyed the tour of Monserrat, however the cogwheel train was not what we had expected. It was really just a regular train. Nice views from the train but it wasn’t anything special. The tour of Montserrat was shorter than we had thought it would be. I wish we had a little more time there to explore and do some of the other activities. The winery was lovely. We had a fantastic lunch and the wines were incredible. The vineyard itself was gorgeous with nice views of Monsterrat. Thaís gave an excellent tasting guide. Overall, we had a nice time.

This is a 100% recommendation. The tour was wonderful. The scenery, the history, the food and of course the wine. The tour company was great as well. Very attentive and on time. Most importantly though was our tour guide, Lesly. She was bubbly, funny, articulate, accommodating and an absolute joy to spend the day with. She made our day more memorable than we could’ve imagined. Thank you Lesly!!! Don’t hesitate to book this.

Fantastic experience with our guide Luca. Great day having everything covered and planned. Bud ride from Barcelona was full of information facts and cheesy jokes. Train ride up was a fun novelty with great views all the way up. Viewing Montserrat and the surrounding church area was neat as we added our own prayer candle. Bonus additional hike was quite a journey, but was worth it as promised and we felt our guide told us to do the best bonus possible. Lunch and wine tasting at the castle in the valley was stunning. Authentic foods and drink with a grounds tour made the whole experience so much fun. Casual wine tasting/drinking trying new things was a great experience for us! Made friends with other young couples in our group along with the guide sharing stories and got to know one another. Would recommend for any of my friends and family.

My husband and I both enjoyed our tour, led by our awesome guide Aline! We felt it was a well paced tour, and very informative. Both Montserrat and the Winery were gorgeous. It was nice to be in nature for the day.
Aline was fabulous with her sense of humor and upbeat personality! She was very knowledgeable and attentive to our group. During our walking tour she was thoughtful to pick stopping points in the shade, which I appreciated as it was a hot day. Thanks for a great time!

Is it possible to get spirits (for a fee) instead of wine at winery? A member of our party does not drink wine.

Hi, I`m pretty sure they will find an alternative if you ask for no alcohol. At the beginning of the tour they also asked about allergies and took them into consideration. So that shouldn`t be a problem.

The central meeting place to join this tour is in front of the Hard Rock Cafe and Store which is located in the Plaza de Catalunya. They typically do not pick up at individual hotels but have picked an easy to locate central meeting point. This tour is fantastic!
