A night at the theater

What a gem. An English language theater in the Old Port neighborhood of Montreal. Good sightings, helpful staff, top notch performances.

Perfect outing

Two plays in two weeks.
Small theatre so that every seat is good. Great plays. We can’t wait to go back.
Clean theatre and bathrooms. Very nice service from staff.

FANTASTIC THEATRE

I have visited Centaur Theatre on multiple occasions and their productions are always excellent. Even if a particular play may not be to your liking, the actors are always excellent, and the space is tasteful and welcoming. NO bad seats!

Really, really looking forward to their first production back after COVID.

I have attended many shows at the Centaur Theatre over the years and enjoyed all of them. There are also great restaurants nearby and a paid parking lot right in front.

Enjoyed a very nice show

The leg room is very short and we are small people. Luckily one seat empty beside us
Bathrooms as usual very busy at intermission. They were adequate. The bar was fine
The show was fantastic and we had a wonderful time
If in Montreal. Look to see if a show is on and go.
Even if it doesn’t seem your type.
We had a lovely evening

"Little Dickens" a Tour de Force!

I have attended a few shows at the Centaur over the years and enjoyed all of them. The latest, "Little Dickens" was amazing. Ronnie Berkett's Christmas marionette theater piece was creative and very, very funny. It must have been physically exhausting for Berkett, who handled and all the marionettes and voiced their characters. Much was improvised, especially the parts where audience members were brought up to take on various roles. It was obvious that the audience loved it. I certainly appreciate the opportunity to attend excellent English-language theater in Montreal.

English theater in Montreal

Just renewed my yearly subscription to an eclectic season of plays. Though the seating is not the most comfortable, and the parking is always a struggle, the Centaur puts on very good productions. The new artistic director Eda Holmes has com into the Montreal scene just fine. I appreciate the playbill booklets for each play.

Great matinée theater

Love this venue. All seats are good. Café could have a better selection of snacks but that’s a detail.
There are several parking options too but check pricing!
