Carolyn was a wonderful tour guide. We learned so much about the history of the city and the language. She was super considerate that we had our dog with us and engaging with adults and teenagers alike. Finished near the old town with some nice local recommendations and places to go for lunch. Thoroughly recommended.

We took the full tour of both the East and West sections of Old Montreal. Catherine was fantastic! You can feel how much she loves her country. We will definitely be back to explore some more!

Our walking tour with Pierre was the best we���ve ever been on. Some guides just deliver a steady stream of facts, but he offered the right depth of geographical and social context to really understand the whole picture. It was a great 90 minutes, and we’d gladly do another tour with this crew the next time we’re in town.

The walking was excellent. Our tour guide, Thomas, was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable about the history of Montreal. He was patient and told us the history and stories in a very entertaining manner. I wish him well. Thanks.

We took the 2-part tour, East and West. It was very interesting and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. There was a 1 hour break for lunch in our own. We had barely enough time to find a place to eat and make it back to the meeting place. The tour might be more enjoyable if started earlier and run for continuous 3 hours, maybe with a short break for quick refreshment.

Sarah was phenomenal. I give tours at a museum in the DC area and it’s important to be a good storyteller to keep your visitors engaged, which she did superbly. Learned a lot about Old Montreal, its origins and history, and appreciated that she included a lot of information about First Nations tribes and their part of the story. Ten stars!

We will be taking the Old Town East and West tour in May and driving up from Upstate New York. Where do you find a place to park in the area we need to meet in? Not familiar at all with Montreal. Directions would be helpful in the city. Parking lots/pavilions? Street Parking?

You are driving up just for the tour? I would assume you are staying at a hotel. Use the hotel parking (most likely valet -- our hotel put our car in an off-site lot) and just leave the car there for your whole stay. This tour meets in front of the Notre Dame Basilica. You will have no trouble finding the church whether you are walking, taking the subway, or taking a cab. It is THE landmark in Montreal. The tour company provides specific information about exactly where to meet in front of the church, but even that won't be necessary. The guide sets up a little podium out front that is clearly marked. This will all seem a lot easier once you are in the city, than it seems right now while you're trying to imagine yourself trying to find your tour guide.

You likely will not have time for a meal with table service, but there are a couple of cafes near Notre Dame where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table fairly quickly. We particularly enjoyed Espace Cafe and Espresso Bar. They have some particularly tasty hot paninis and the owner is super nice and welcoming.

For our regular walking tour of Old Montréal East & West, we try to keep the group around 15 people maximum. We also offer the Old Montréal VIP, which is a 2-hour semi-private walking tour of 6 people max. Of course, a private tour option is always available year-round if you want to be alone with your guide.

We are a group of 6 who will docking on Saturday morning on Holland America cruise. We planned to stay 2 nights in Montreal as it is our first visit but we managed to pick the weekend of Grand Prix and cannot find a hotel!! Our option is hopefully a VERY good private tour guide who will pick us up at ship, show us some sights and get us to the airport that afternoon. Can this be accomplished?

My son is getting married the weekend of May 29,2015 and we have many guests going to the Montreal area for the weekend. We would like to pre-arrange a private walking tour on Saturday,May 30th at approximately 2:00 p.m. for 2 hours for between 10-25 of our guests. The tour needs to be totally walking, starting and ending at the Omni Hotel in downtown Montreal. Is it possible to tour Old Montreal or is that too far to walk and should we plan an different walking tour? Also, how much would it cost? Thank you.
