- Eva TUnited Kingdom2,451 contributionsIt has plenty benches and offers good view to the city. At the end is Port of Montreal Tower, you can look towards beginning of Lachine canal. Around the railing towards the Tower are information displays about the history of Montreal's port and canal During our visit the park behind the Tower was closed as they did some work there. It must be nice just to walk down and sit there when it will be finished. Great views and people watching, friendly staff all in a beach atmosphere.Truly unique in this city and a friendly vibe. More like sandy bank to a waveless lake, which is sometimes off limits due to water quality (sewage nearby I think).
