We visited with adult family members and children aged 12 & 9. Everyone had a brilliant time and we were all super impressed with the quality of the experience.
There’s a bit of queuing on arrival (in spite of the pre-booked slot). Once it was our turn, someone helped us to get our VR sets on. Immediately we could see an avatar representing the people around us. Our group had yellow avatars, the staff had green, and everyone else was blue - making it easy to identify people during the experience.
Once we entered the VR space we were completely immersed, standing on a space station while looking down at the Earth. There were no walls at first so I really felts like I might fall off! It was quite realistic.
We were able to walk around and tap bubbles which would immerse us even further - here you lost all perception of those around you and you were enveloped in a part of the space station on your own where an astronaut talked about life living on it.
Towards the end of the experience we were guided to a seat in the “cinema” - the VR set made your assigned seat glow to avoid any confusion. We watched a short VR film, and then the experience ended.
Overall the experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend it. The only negative was that a few of us had problems without headset and needed help, and sometimes it look a while to get someone’s attention.
All in all it was well worth it.
