The Olympic Park is a cool step back in time! Seeing all the monuments and stadiums will make you feel as if you are back several years ago when the Olympics took place in Montreal. Not much is open for touring, so beware of that…but it’s still cool to see! We were able to see the Olympic pool in use by classes, which was cool!

It’s a short hike with absolutely beautiful views. Wonderful! You can see so much of Montreal and the St Lawrence from the viewpoint!

Jacklyn (spelling?) was an awesome tour guide. She knew a lot about the architect and his life, the history of events that lead up to the building, features and structures of Habitat 67, and what is currently happening there. She provided a lot of visuals to make the learning engaging and fun for a diverse group of people. There was time to ask questions, look around and take pictures. From the exterior, this building did not excite me. Once I took the tour, I was surprised how alive I felt inside one of the units we visited together. The inside of the unit is how I had imagined and wanted classrooms to be during my grade school and higher education years. Finally, I encountered someone with a specialty in architecture who created such a design. i most definitely recommend this while visiting Montreal.

Inaugurated in 1992, the World Trade Centre occupies a full city block where Old Montréal and the Quartier international meet. Its modern architecture incorporates several historical buildings and a part of the old Ruelle des Fortifications. A portion of the Berlin wall offered to Montréal for its 350th anniversary, a majestic fountain, and the mural “Circulations” designed for the 20th anniversary of the Centre adorn the site. Connected to the underground pedestrian network, this veritable indoor village is covered with a massive glass skylight and houses shops, restaurants

We had a few hiccups starting out, Trip Advisor had the opening time wrong and they only give tours at pre-set times, either in English or in French. The staff were able to accommodate us though and we were able to get a tour, which lasted an hour. I wish it was longer, it was very informative.

The Bank of Montreal's Head Office (French: Édifice de la Banque de Montréal) is located on 119, rue Saint Jacques (119, Saint Jacques Street) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, across the Place d'Armes from the Notre-Dame Basilica in the Old Montreal neighbourhood. The Bank of Montreal is the oldest bank in Canada, founded in 1817. Although it still remains the bank's legal headquarters, its operational head office was moved to First Canadian Place in Toronto in 1977 he centrepiece of the complex is the Bank of Montreal Main Branch, a Pantheon-like building built by John Wells in 1847. The building was inspired by the design of the former headquarters of the Commercial Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh

Located right in the midst of everything, the rink is great for a quick trip to skate. The ice is well maintained and how can you not love a Zamboni crossing in the middle of a high rise office building to take care of the ice? Building itself very lovely and non skaters have area to grab a bite while watching their family members skate on.

I studied at UdeM, as the university is commonly known. It's a nice enough university, with some nice architecture if you know where to look. The main hall of Roger-Gaudry (the ubiquitous building with the huge tower, which is the health sciences building) is a pretty nice place, and there's a bunch of old doors and wooden staircases throughout the building. You also get a really nice view of the city from on top of the mountain, although the stairs are kind of tedious to climb; there's a free bus shuttle that goes from Université de Montréal metro all the way up the mountain.

The other buildings are more recent, so they're not as interesting to see. Parking is expensive, and the food in the school is your typical university food.

If you're around, because you're visiting the basilica or for any other reason, it's a nice place to walk past, but don't take a detour just to see it.

If you love art deco take a few minutes to see the interior of this office building. We entered at the side entrance at 119 Rue St. Jacques (Office Aldred), near the Basilica and plaza. Beautiful interior.

The original main hall has been restored and holds the original brass arrivals / departures board, and an original wartime commemorative statue. There are historical photos and description of the station's history and use. There is little else remaining to see, but the interior and exterior architecture are beautiful.
Enter from the corner of Saint-Antoine O and Peel to walk up the grand staircase (there is an elevator as well). On a winter, Sunday afternoon, it was very quiet.

This local market is very tiny. But has a fabulous cafe inside the market. You’ll have to get a queue ticket to order food. Mind you, it’s out of the tourist zone so English is not the main language for them. If you can speak French it’ll help. All the food are labeled in French so I asked a very helpful gentleman to help me translate.
There’s a supermarket there and that’s about it. It’s meant more for the locals there. If you are a tourist like me with lots of time in Montreal, perhaps you can spend 1 hour there just having the lovely sandwich there for breakfast!

Can’t say I’ve been in the building, but the statue outside and the lovely little garden that surrounds it, are well worth seeking this building out.

Very close to a major hub like Berri, you clearly spot the elegant structure of the Church. The interiors is a relaxing place with frescoes on the walls and ceiling. It is worth stopping by and check it out.
