I went to see a very excentric schizophrenic yet amusing patient there that wanted me to ''free her', and hire me as a lawyer.
While there, I snooped around and was awed by the idyllic terrace around the building and the view of the St Lawrence below. Some of the river view is hindered today. This was once a grand mansion with Victorian fine architectural details.
Just two bits of advice, if you go, it should be on foot because parking around there is scarce. So if you're fit and need some exercise, challenge yourself to climb up there from Sherbrooke Street and also check out the surrounding Chateau style Water Plant on Dr Pennfield, adjoining McGill Campus and Royal Victorial Hospital (parking available there but expensive) .
