During the Comedy festival, we found respite from crowds and music on Sainte Catherine at the Square. King Edward VII
(1914 statue) “much loved sovereign” faces Christ Church Cathedral, built 1857 at Square Phillips. It’s a lovely cityview and is surrounded by some restaurants…not as many as rue Saint-Denis or Saint Laurent, but nice all the same.

My family and I recently went to a 6 year olds birthday party at Laurent Ianes.

The kids had a blast! The bowling machines are easy to set up and they turn off the lights and have cosmic bowling where the black light illuminates all the technicolor designs and balls so the kids just love that.

They have special plastic dinosaur guides to help your child bowl, just ask for one at the front desk also very easy to program bumpers so the ball wont fall into the gutters.

They do a great job of organizing a kids birthday party they also make it fun for the parents with adult beverages and a full Lester’s smoked meat restaurant to eat from! All you have to say is smoked meat and beer and I’ll for sure take my kids to your kids birthday party over all the others that are happening on the same weekend!!

They also have a kids party room which helps contain the energetic children when they eat cake and start bouncing from that birthday party sugar rush! Comes in handy so you don’t have to start chasing your child across the bowling lanes while trying to dodge miss thrown bowling balls!

Great place, fun times, kept clean and well maintained unlike other bowling alleys in the West Island..... oh and they have an arcade machine area.

5 stars not for the bowling, but for the amazing Stepmania X machine they have there! I would visit more often if I could.

Very run down and dingy looking. There is never anyone there. It's a great price but I prefer other bowling places which are a bit more expensive but the ambiance is great.

Old nostalgic bowling alley, lots of lanes, big & small balls, arcade room, pool table, snack bar is cash only, but they take credit cards for shoe rental ($2.50 w/txs) and games (3 frames for $10.50). Ask for their seniors' rate, which = $9.66 for both shoe rental + 3 games. 4 of us bowled on Sunday morning (11:30), and had the misfortune of being assigned an alley quite close to a little kids' b-day party. A couple of these youngsters started using our lane (they have no clue, and there were not enough parents there to yell at them). We requested a lane change, far away from any kids' parties, no problem. They're open 8am-3am every day. Used to bowl here back in the day, hope they never close the place down. Oh, and my brother won $20 at one of the game machines, don't know which one.
