- jackf7610 contributionsWonderful hostess!Alejandra was a delightful and enthusiastic hostess. She might have been momentarily thrown off by us being native Montreal’s playing tourist in our own city but she was eager to hear what we could add to her knowledge of Montreal. She took excellent care of us.Written June 2, 2024
- lesliej4580 contributionsFOod, culture, history and FOOD -- all in one fun tour!Great way to soak up history, culture and food at in one tour. We LOVE to do food tours and this one did not disappoint especially because we started with dessert and ended with it too. I am a sweet lover but the other things we sampled -- Italian gravy/sauce on gnocchi , fried baloney sandwich, montreal bagel, poutine and cannoli were all delicious. Our guide Raphaelle was very knowledgeable and wove the history part of the tour into very engaging stories. Definitely a great way to spend a day.Written May 25, 2024

We loved all the stories about each place, ate well and then she dropped us at a local brewery (per our request). Couldn’t have asked for a better guide and experience! It was the perfect way to experience places we never would have seen on our own!Written May 14, 2024

Alex was delightful. Full of local knowledge and insights, he walked us all over Mile End to taste a smorgasbord of international foods. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Montreal is a beautiful city and we would recommend this tour. We were amidst a great group of people gathered for the experience.
If we had one criticism, it was the amount of carbohydrates on offer.

The actual food tour itself was fine enough, nothing mind bending or brilliant. For us, the one thing that made the food tour worth it was our guide, Beatrice. Her genuine enthusiasm and love for the city of Montreal is what we found most valuable about the tour.

Donna-Lynn, our guide was awesome! She was so pleasant and knowledgeable, the tour was a small group so it almost felt like hanging out with girlfriends. The tour was so worth it! About a 2 hour walk in the mile end, with stops to eat and enjoy the nice summer day.
Went back to Boulangerie Guillame the next day for the White chocolate & Vanilla Brioche (so yummy). Also loved the Cannoli from Caffé Grazie-Mille Fairmount.

What a great food tour! We were able to try so many of Montreal’s prize foods and they were all so good! We left the tour completely stuffed. Nice combination of walking and sitting, with drinks also provided. Our tour guide, April, kept a nice pace, not too fast. She was easy to understand and kept us engaged. She would call ahead to order so our food selections were ready when we arrived. And yes, we had several selections at each place. I honestly had a hard time choosing a favorite food! I really enjoyed hearing the stories behind each restaurant that she shared. Definitely recommend!

On this tour my friend and I were able to experience authentic Montreal cuisine from our local tour guide Erik. We were able to eat amazing food from many different walks of life while getting a history lesson. It was so much fun and I would highly recommend to those who are interested in a food tour.

We were guided by Beatrice who was very knowledgeable of the local area and other places in Canada we were visiting. She was prompt at the meeting point and we quickly had our first treat of the day. We picked the afternoon tour which was handy as I was left quite full by the end. Would highly recommend this tour.

This was a great way to see parts of the city and small restaurants we wouldn’t have known to try. Loved that our teens got to hear about the history of Montreal while trying new foods.

We really enjoyed walking the Mile-End area of Montreal, visiting local restaurants and trying different foods. Our guide Eric was interesting and engaging, providing history facts, and keeping the tour at a perfect pace. It was a great way to spend the late afternoon and there was plenty of food!

Not sure i understand.
Do we all drive in the same bus or something? Or we need to take our own car?
Also, is the food included in the price of the tour?
And if not, we are simply taken to good restaurants and we choose
what we wanna eat out of the entire menu as usual?
how does that work?
thanks

Hi! The way the tour works is that you meet your guide and walk around a section of Montreal. The ticket price includes tastings, not whole meals of different foods. The tastings are a nice serving and can be filling, but this is not a meal! You can buy drinks and any other food you desire, but you will have to pay for it. The tour is so much fun! You learn so much about the city and get to taste some amazing foods!
The tour sounds amazing but I was recently diagnosed with a gluten allergy, are there food options available for that?
Hi, I was very much looking forward to this tour on Friday at 11 am, but saw that it may rain! What happens if the tour is cancelled that morning, do we receive a refund? Hope it won’t need to be! Thank you.

Would someone who doesn’t eat meat besides seafood, have options and be able to enjoy this tour?

If you let the tour guide know ahead of time, (when you make the reservation) they will definitely have the Vegan options! In our group, there was one vegan, her food was awesome! Highly recommend! Great tour, enjoy!~!

How much walking is there between stops? My sister and I are visiting and we are both 70+ And do we have the option to sit at the places we sample food?

The first portion of the tour 2 of three stops were standing . the next 3 were all sitting. I have arthritis in my hip and it was not bad. d
