Attratto dalla fama di questa statua all'interno del cimitero di Poblenou, nel mio recente viaggio a Barcellona l'ho inserito nella lista delle cose da vedere.
Si raggiunge facilmente anche a piedi (inserendo su Google maps "the kiss of death") tuttavia mettete in conto una lunga passeggiata e il fatto che al cimitero non c'è null'altro di interessante.
La statua è opera del marmista e scultore Jaume Barba, all'epoca settantenne. Ignoto il progettista. Risalente al 1930, la sttua venne creata per ordine della famiglia di Josep Llaudet i Soler, importante famiglia di fabbricanti.
Devo ammettere che l'impatto è stato notevole. Curata anche nei particolari, non lascia di certo indifferenti.
Visita consigliata!
