Features

 

  • Secure Account Creation and Account Management: Clients and partners are asked a short series of questions when creating their account to confirm their identity. This security features allows MDHHS to share robust case and benefit information. Every client and partner who uses MI Bridges will have their own individual account. 

  • Help Me Find Resources: Any Michigan resident can select a topic they would like help with such as food, transportation, or utilities assistance. MI Bridges will ask a short series of questions and recommend programs/services available through the state, or in their local community to meet their needs. 

  • Explore Resources: Any Michigan resident that wants to freely search for and explore resources in their local community can do so here.

  • My Resources: Clients can elect to save information on a community resources to their profile so it can be viewed at a later date – this allows for clients to easily manage and remember organizations they have identified as helpful and be able to find this information simply by logging into their MI Bridges account.

  • View My Benefits: Clients with existing cases can view helpful benefit information by program. Clients will be able to find answers to their benefits questions directly in MI Bridges anytime of the day or night! Customers can view their renewal date, benefit amount, the date when benefits will be available on their Bridge card, and much more! 

  • View My Letters: Clients can also view letters sent from MDHHS for the previous 12 months. Now, if a client requests a copy of a notice, they can easily find and print it from Clients account in MI Bridges.

  • Apply for Benefits: Clients can apply for benefits using a simplified application with a clean new look that matches the questions and improvements made to the paper application.

  • Renew My Benefits: Clients can create a MI Bridges account and receive notifications when their redetermination is due. If a client consents their navigator can also view this renewal date.

  • Report Changes: Report changes now has a more visually appealing look and simplified questions.

  • Upload Documents and Verifications: Clients can easily access MI Bridges from their mobile device. This means when MDHHS requests a verification, the customer can snap a picture and share with MDHHS by easily uploading the picture to their MI Bridges account.

  • Benefits and Resources Information Sharing: Clients can easily choose to share their household and benefit information with community partners who are assisting them. Partners will be able to view the same benefit information as their clients.

  • Community Partner Registration: All community partner organizations register their agency and each user in MI Bridges. Now each user receives a unique ID and sign-in account.

  • Community Partner Referrals: Organizations can register to receive electronic referrals from clients directly in MI Bridges. The referral partner can view the client contact information in MI Bridges, and manage these referrals on a dashboard specifically built for referral partners.  

  • Client Case Notifications: Clients can elect to receive notifications through text or email when a new letter sent from MDHHS is available to be viewed in MI Bridges.

  • Help Desk: A dedicated help desk is available to help answer client and partner questions Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 7:00pm.

  • Stronger 2-1-1 Integration: Community Partners are able to report organization information that is incorrect in MI Bridges and list seasonal resources as temporarily unavailable.

  • Local Resource Integration: MI Bridges has expanded its resources by incorporating the Great Start to Quality Childcare and Preschool Database! 

  • MDHHS Program Integration: MI Bridges will predict when individuals become eligible and send a referral to the Woman, Infants, and Children (WIC) program!

  • Enriched Community Partner Features: Community Partners have more features to help support clients and manage their organization like:

    • Work in part with other navigators on the same client

    • View pending documents for clients

    • Send recommended resources to clients
