You're not alone when you adopt. If you need assistance, there are financial resources and support groups that can offer you a helping hand.
If you adopt special needs children in the state's foster care program, they may qualify for financial support subsidy, medical subsidy and/or the costs of the adoption.
Eligible children may receive assistance if they meet certain criteria. Typically, the children receiving adoption assistance have special circumstances that make finding an appropriate adoptive home more challenging - older child, part of a sibling group, or physical, mental or emotional impairments.
