Michigan Pediatric Epilepsy Project

The Michigan Pediatric Epilepsy Project is led by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) Division. The goal is to improve health outcomes among Michigan’s children and youth with epilepsy, especially those in rural and underserved areas. Project partners include primary and specialty care providers and other stakeholders across the state. By working together, the project will strengthen practices related to health care transition, communication among providers, access to telehealth/telemedicine services, and shared decision-making. A Quality Improvement Network helps clinic partners to carry out activities related to the project’s four focus areas.
