Good stay The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas. The area was quiet when we stayed and its just far enough away from the hoardes of people around the main touristy areas. The hotel is modern in style, all white and wood and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I had only had a couple of minor points, which had they not been there it would have been excellent. More on them further down.
Just a couple of points that might be helpful. The hotel charge €0.01 to a card at check-in for any incidentals.
We got the Aerobus from T2 to the city. It only took about 20 minutes and cost €10 return each.
The room we were in faced the front and had a small balcony, just wide enough to stand on. It had an entrance vestibule with the basin and wardrobe and the bathroom was off here. The bedroom had its own door and had plenty of space. There was a well stocked minibar with branded soft drinks, beers, wine and champagne. The bed was very big and comfy there was plenty of pillows.
The minor points I mentioned were the radiator in the bathroom being permanently on, which made the bathroom really warm especially when the shower was on. The knob to turn it down didn't seem to make a difference.
The air-con control panel was a waste of time. I think it's one of those ones that's there to satisfy our requirement to be in control, when in fact it does absolutely nothing. My guess is that during the slightly colder months they control it centrally to save money.
Would recommend this hotel, we had a really enjoyable stay.

We take advantage of this communication to inform you during winter times the radiators in the bathroom are on from the central system due to the season, but they are meant to be controlled by using the knob in them as you explained. A similar situation happens with the heating in the rooms, so we are sorry that in this occasion those systems did not operated as usual. PROS: Close to Eateries, Shopping and Pl. de Cataluyna for site-seeing [tours, etc.]
CONS: Noisy Housekeeping, Thin walls, thuds for door closing Garbage, Recycling bins on corner ... all dropoffs/pickups/trucks transfer noises late at night Taxi's {and Drivers} assemble in front/corner and converse loudly.
OBSERVATIONS: Free Wi-Fi is OK, but slow [52Mbps] ; Enhanced WiFi available [~10EUR/day] Area: [Amazingly] Quieter on weekends [during the day only] than workdays Free Drink for skipping houseeeping daily Room 'Terrace' is actually a Balcony ... ~3" deep but quite wide [wraparound]. However, lower floors [close to street level] rooms will not likely present opportunity, or desire, to use the 'Terrace'. Instead, try the rooftop pool area. 28sqm rooms [Superior?] has less in useful space due to inside stairs [accounting for the high ceiling] and hallway. barely enough room to navigate around the bed.

First I have to point out the great location, for a trip where you want to be close to almost everything the NH Podium is a great deal.
Remarkable: Very friendly and helpful reception. Great roof top pool and lounge with a stunning view over Barcelona! Room cleaning and the separation of entry (in combination with the bathroom and shower) and sleeping room by another door.
Points to improve or challenge: - Breakfast price (18€). Makes also absolutely no sense as there are plenty of coffee with very accessible prices in the surroundings. - Noise Isolation. If this will not be improved it would be a show stopper to book the Hotel on my next visit. You can hear everything from outside and sleeping from 8am onwards turns really difficult.

The location was perfect for us. We could walk to restaurants, train station, historic sites and great shopping areas. The room was on the 5 th floor so we could walk up the last stairs to reach the rooftop terrace and pool which was ideal as we had do balcony or outside access from the room. Rooms can get a lot of traffic noise in the morning but as the bathrooms are to the front of the bedroom,it buffers the hotel internal noise. Wifi was slow speed and difficult to stay online at times. Staff attitudes varied from very efficient front desk to indifference in other facilities. Whatever you do, do not order drinks from the hatch by the pool. Extortionate rates. I live in Spain and never pay these sort of prices in any bar or restaurant in any good area. A very small shot of house vodka costs €15. Consequently we went across the road for drinks and paid a fraction of the price. Housekeeping was erratic and we had to phone for room cleaning as our room was still not cleaned by 3 pm the afternoon. A nice touch was we did receive a little chocolate and 2 small pots of fruit salad as an apology. I do appreciate hotels are busy in the summer but paying over €200 a night for room only you expect cleaning to be done when you are out the hotel, There was a little bottle of water provided each day. Not enough for 2 adults. Similarly 1 shower cap for 2 adult women in 5 days isn’t enough.
Small points but they add up to a hotel that just misses out on being good when it could so easily push itself to be better. Certainly not NH standard as I know it.

I stayed in this wonderful hotel in 2020 February (just before pandemic) for 2 nights. I've to say I arrived hotel a little earlier and they gave me a room which was very appreciated. Room was very clean, spacious. There was a coffee machine & kettle with variety of tea&coffee which was free of charge. Air cond. of the room was working without any problem and hotel location is super silent during the night which was enabling you to get a really good &deep sleep. Breakfast was just perfect.

Everything was perfect. Rooms were very clean and specious & luxurious. Breakfast was so delicious with big variety of food to fulfill different tastes and the morning coffee was more than perfect. I loved the kids buffet inside the restaurant.the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location the hotel is just walking distance from Catalonia square ,bus , metro stations and many other main visitors sites. I would defiantly pay another visit to the hotel when I visit Barcelona again.

Rooms are clean and small but very practical. The view isn’t great as the bedroom window is high and small and there is no outside space/window balcony so you feel a little penned in. The hotel has a pleasant roof top terrace and balcony however the hotel won’t let you have access to this lovely space until 10am which is a real shame considering it’s the only outside space the hotel has. Despite standing at the door at 9:50am staff would not let us outside to sit and enjoy a coffee. This seemed very unreasonable. Drinks at the roof bar are outrageously priced with 2 single house vodkas costing €30. I definitely recommend going out to the lovely street bodegas and paying around €6 a drink. The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance from almost all the key sights or at most an easy taxi or metro ride. The hotel is slightly let down by some of the staff attitudes in dealing with feedback and general demeanor. I say some, as most are very courteous and helpful. It is also recommended you request your room cleaning service time or it might not occur until 5pm. Please don’t expect it to be done while you are out for the day. All in all the hotel is a good hotel but I would rate it more highly for its great location over the services and facilities.

Stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved the hotel. Good location and helpful staff. One dangerous downside at least in my room is a set of 3 steps from the bathroom area to the bedroom. Be extremely cautious and I caught my heel coming down the steps and it was not fun. There is no railing to hang onto so just be extra careful! The balcony was really nice and a large door allows fresh air to come in from outside. Other than this one matter with the stairs, loved my stay and would absolutely stay here again.

We visited during the coronavirus panic, the staff were extremely helpful, booking us a taxi to the airport and giving us a picnic for breakfast as we had to leave at 5am to go to the airport. As all the restaurants and bars were closed we had dinner on our last night at the hotel restaurant, and the pizza and chips were LITERALLY the best I’ve ever had. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. Location was good, not too close to the centre and not too far either. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I have never stayed in the Hotel De Condes but the NH Barcelona is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is near the metro and within easy walking distance of the Rambla. The breakfast is very nice and there is a roof terrace once the weather permits.
There are more places to choose from in the Barcelona area.
