Loved everything about this hotel, the rooms were spacious and well equipped, the facilities inc exclusive use of a sauna (we used it everyday!), and the staff were so helpful with every request we had. The hotel even had a ‘green policy’ which meant that you got a free drink in the bar if you didn’t get your room cleaned for a day. Good incentive!! 😆

This place was HORRIBLE. We couldn’t wait to get out. I don’t know why this place is four star-rated. I have stayed at roadside motels that provided a more comfortable experience.
The location is mediocre at best. The neighborhood is dreary. The view from our window was reminiscent of “Westside Story” — the backs of old, tired apartment buildings with laundry hanging from the balconies.
It was over 100° outside every day and they couldn’t get the air conditioning to make it comfortable inside our room. When we complained, the staff told us that it took about a half an hour for the room to cool down every time we returned from being out. This was because the key card had to be removed each time as we left (to save them money on electricity in our room), so the a/c only started again once we put the card back in on our return. And, even when we had been there for over a half an hour, the lowest temperature it would go to was 19°C, which wasn’t nearly enough to keep up with the intense heat coming into the room. We called the front desk three times and they didn’t care— they just said that was how the system was designed to work. We were miserable and had a very hard time trying to sleep.
The towels felt like sandpaper, and were inconsistently delivered. One of the elevators didn’t work the whole time we were there. (The one that did work once stopped lower than the floor outside the elevator, and my son tripped on the lip of the floor as he got out.) The minibar fridge didn’t keep things cold (and was actually unplugged- though loaded with items - when we arrived). Many other things didn’t work in the room, and the staff didn’t seem to care. They would send people to “help“ who didn’t know what the heck they were doing.
The front desk staff was not helpful at all, nor even very friendly.
I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Staff were super nice and friendly. The rooms were spacious (we had 3 people) and comfortable for all of us. We loved the location. Felt safe. It's in a nice area of Barcelona. We enjoyed walking to a local cafe for breakfast every morning. Great location, all major attractions are within walking distance. The room size was good. It was also clean and quiet. Overall, good value for money.
I was hoping to get more help with the car park. Especially since it was something I have asked about during the booking process. When I arrived, I had no idea where to park. First time in Barcelona and I am unfamiliar with its parking arrangement. I was handed over a paper with a simple map (we are in 2022, people use smartphones and google these days!). I couldn't locate the parking and kept going in circles until I found underground parking with a difficult-to-spot entrance.
It was like 7-8 minutes away from the hotel (walking distance) but I was ok with that. I hope the hotel can provide more help to its guests next time. You can simply share the geolocation of 2 or 3 nearby carparks.

We stayed twice at the NH Podium, pre and post our cruise from Barcelona.
Our initial stay was so much better than our second stay. On our initial visit we stayed in a standard room, which was well appointed and had a lovely mini balcony overlooking the street.
Some aspects of the room you could see had been vinyl'd over but based on the cost, we thought it was reasonable.
On our second visit, post cruise we had booked one of the suites. At check-in we were demanded to pay an additional fee to check in early (which we declined). The room was fine, but didn't compare to the standard room which we had before (which was far better).
Additionally, we had a number of noise issues. You could hear the bathroom use of the guests above us (toilet flushes, shower use etc), plus the banging of the elevators. Calls to reception about this were left without resolution.
Finally, the pool on the rooftop - on the 2 occasions we visited nothing was open, and on the latter workers were asleep on the loungers. It seems strange to advertise a feature that wasn't open, or when it was - it was being used to sleep by the staff.
If we had stayed in our original standard room at the start of the stay, I would've given this review a better rating, but to pay over 1k euro for a room with noise issues (with despite complaining), is not suitable.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. Staff were all very friendly and very nice to interact with. Location was great of us as we could walk to most of the major attractions and not a far walk from where we could catch the hop on and off bus. Hotel was very clean. rooftop bar had very friendly staff and were always very attentive and the pool was very nice. The gym was clean and had several workout machines. An area for opportunity would be for a bigger focus on maintenance, the air conditioning unit in the ceiling in the lobby bar was dripping onto the tables and floor the entire time we were there. Overvall I look forward to when we can stay at a NH Collection hotel again.

We stayed here with an extended family group of 15 as the larger rooms worked well for those with kids and we thought it was pretty well located. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast worked well for all ages. We particularly wanted to compliment all of the staff members who looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble including calling taxis (or hailing them when there was unexpectedly noone at the rank outside), to giving a birthday celebration to one of the five year olds in our group. A particular thanks to Nils at the concierge desk who made a number of suggestions and bookings for us, which were all excellent.

We had a very bad stay at this hotel because of a few different issues.
Firstly, we waited for more than 1h20 for our check-in. The room was not made ready, and we were told multiple times it would be shortly available but that was not the case...
We had a dog with us, so before booking we called the hotel line to get information regarding the dog policy. We were told that only dogs over 25kg were not allowed and that it was the only limitation. Imagine our surprise when during checking we were told that dogs were not allowed to stay alone in the room when we were not inside. This was never mentioned during our call, and if we knew about that we would have chosen to go to a different hotel. Knowing that outside in Barcelona at the time the temperature was around 35 degrees, I find this to be the total opposite of a dog-friendly policy, as it is listed in the booking page.
On top of it, the room we were given was in terrible condition. The floor was totally scratched up, and so was the furniture. There were even stains of dried pee on the sofa. I find it totally unacceptable for a four-star hotel to be given a room like this.
For all this, I would never recommend that any dog owner go to any of the NH hotels, or they could just remove the mention of being dog friendly since it's not the case at all.

A very warm welcome at reception and guest relations desk through Hugo . The concierge Pau was helpful and was suggested great places to explore and to go for typical meals .
The facilities : roof terrace , restaurant , bar and breakfast are great , they stock for all needs . The staff is always friendly .
The premier rooms have a good size , offer Nespresso coffee machine and water kettle , whatever one uses , is replaced . For the night you get chocolate on your pillow ☺️
The hotel is very close to all Barcelona’s highlights .
One feels also very safe .
I really enjoyed my stay at the NH podium and will recommend to friends .

Loved the hotel. Great location so everything was in (reasonable) walking distance. Very clean, easy check in. A nice touch was the complimentary drink and sweets on offer in the reception.
The rooms have a ‘porch’ area which is a fantastic way to dissolve any noise coming from the corridor. Well built rooms ensuring a peaceful stay.
The roof was a big plus; decent size swimming pool, a bar, and sun beds. Great place to go and relax at the end of the day.
The only slight area for improvement was with the beds - the mattress was pretty hard, a softer mattress would have made the place faultless.
All in all would certainly return.

Hi sorry I can't help as I don't smoke.
No it does not.
I have never stayed in the Hotel De Condes but the NH Barcelona is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is near the metro and within easy walking distance of the Rambla. The breakfast is very nice and there is a roof terrace once the weather permits.
