Unlike a lot of spots, this hotel is situated in a quiet office park. That means no parking issues and no noise overnight. And we look out on a tree right outside our window. So the location is great (we're staying the night before a cruise and will head to the port soon-- about a 30 minute drive, I think).

The HVAC wall controls actually work, a rarity in hotel rooms.

The sink is outside the bathroom, so people can make coffee, get a drink, etc. without invading anyone's privacy. Rooms have a fridge and microwave. The remote promises Netflix and built in Chromecast, but we couldn't get either to work.

Breakfast was ok, typical hotel breakfast. Limited hot options, and food was not all available when we showed up about 15 minutes past advertised start time.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are professional. I'd definitely stay here again.

Second stay in 4 months. Room was fine with just the shower curtain needing cleaned of a few dark spots. I crate my dog so we try to respect the property and we encountered no smells in the room. However, weed smell can be detected in the halls and stairs. Pool area was usually clean and hallways were much cleaner than last visit in Nov. 2020. Parking is good but 4 out of 6 of the handicapped spaces were routinely used by non handicapped patrons. My issues were only minor. Pandemic service is priced pretty high for no room cleaning and virtually no breakfast. Biggest issue on both visits were the guests that refuse to respect the no smoking policies. Fire alarms went off a total of 3 times during the night for my 2 stays of 5 days each visit. Alarms took considerable time to investigate and turn off the ear piercing sounds. All in all, it’s a clean hotel and the staff is polite. I won’t hesitate to come back but hope the alarms stay off and the breakfast returns in some form soon.

Great staff and good location but the rooms are nasty. Crusty dirt on windowsill, lumps of hair and dirt behind the toilet, smelly mop used to mop the tiles, musty odor in the rooms(...I had two separate rooms and both were the same)!

I met a sock and mint on the floor next to the bed which was left by a previous guest. Intentionally left it there.....it was still there 4 days later and probably still there awaiting the next guest!

I bought Lysol and air freshener to make through, and only stayed (reluctantly) as my booking was non-refundable.

I stayed 2 nights at this location. Overall The stay was ok but I realized a few hours after checking out that I forgot my special pillow there, which I need really bad for a cervical medical condition that I have When I called to inquire, all they did was they placed me on hold then got back to me to tell me they checked with the head of room service and she checked the room and there was nothing there. This is a very expensive pillow and it’s not like a phone charger or anything small that can be easily distinguishable. It’s a pillow that is distinguishable and completely different from the ones they have in the hotel but yet could still be mixed up with theirs. They seemed careless and that they did what they were suppose to do which is checking in the room and found nothing.. no one offered to go the extra mile or said that they will check with the specific person that cleaned the room after my check out because this would be the one who would know. When I told them it’s impossible to just lose a pillow and that it could be mixed up with theirs, then they asked me to leave my phone number and if they ever find it, they will call me. They never even apologized about the situation or that they couldn’t find it or that they could have gotten rid of it or lost it or anything. I thought La Quinta was a big name but unfortunately this will make my last booking there as they sadly lack the customer service skills.

I would love to give a quality review however I was bitten by bedbugs in my room #303. I notified the front desk who responded "what do you want to do"? Being that it was 3:30 am the only solution given to me was to change my room. I spoke with the manager the next day and she took my number and advised that she would follow up with me after pest control checked the room. I was forced on my own to treat my bites on my back, legs, arms and head. I took pictures to document my bites. I purchased bed bug killer, threw away all my affected clothing, washed my own un-affected clothes and threw away my suitcase to not bring the bugs home.

There was no protocol in place, no guidance or assistance given to me during the process. I would have accepted a simple I'm sorry and is there any way we can make you feel better. I guess $154 per night doesn't get you that. I filed a report of the incident with Wyndham who documented my complaint and advised that the franchise owner has to handle any further communications. I called the number and no ability to leave a message or speak with anyone. It has been 12 days and no contact from anyone.

The itch from bed bugs is horrible, the bites take several day to show up revealing more bites in the days after the first exposure. I am not an expert but I do know what I felt and by all accounts it was bed bugs (Internet research). Now I want a refund and reimbursement for my lost items.

La Quinta needs to update their protocol and notify their employees how to better handle situations like this. I don't want to be treated better but as a customer who paid $154 for a room that pre covid was $89 at best. A kind word and directions to the nearest CVS would give me something positive to write. All I have to say now is this Hotel Itched.

The security measures against COVID 19 do not prevent being able to attend cleaning requests to the room when they are long stays; As well as it is not a justification, breakfast is only cake and yogurt or even cereal as an option. The refrigerator in my room had a constant noise that disturbed sleeping at night. The staff is not friendly only one girl was friendly. One night I arrived after 11pm and I had to enter with my key and it did not work and I touched and the reception person did not help me

We stayed here twice in May, 2021. My bed was very comfortable. I found the desk staff to be personable and helpful. The lobby had comfortable seating with internet access.
The first room I had was extremely difficult to enter due to problems with the lockset. I had to ram it with my shoulder every time to get the door open. Inside, I was unhappy to find a pair of dirty socks in the window ceil! If you are really cleaning, this would be hard to miss.
The second room also had difficulty with the lockset. The card did not want to scan, but it worked after several swipes.
The most disappointing part of our stay at LaQuinta Plantation was the “continentsl breakfast.” It’s my nature to be grateful for what is provided for me, but this so-called breakfast fell so far my expectations, I think it merits special attention especially in light of the unanimous comments of every other visitor I overheard. Here were your hoices...coffee, orange or apple juice, an orange, stale muffin (more like super-sweet, cheap cake) and incredibly bitter, nasty yogurt. That’s it. It was the worst complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had in any motel.

My mom and I travel with our dog a lot and almost always stay at a La Quinta if possible. This was one of the worst. My bed appeared to be sagging in the middle when we went in, but I thought maybe housekeeping just got the bedding tight. Uh, no. What wasn’t sagging was lumpy and I didn’t get a full night sleep once out of the four days we were there. We always comment what great beds they have and how good we sleep. Additional, there is only ONE elevator for the the entire hotel and is also utilized by housekeeping. It went out of order our last night and was still out when we were leaving. My mom and I are both handicapped, and we had to drag all our baggage down the stairs.

I’ll add that there was no breakfast, but that’s a COVID thing. They do have a little snack shop and a fitness center.
Currently, this location has not started a $20 pet fee like others (since Wyndham bought them out).

Worst hotel experience in my life....I will never book here again. They tried to charge my card twice for the same room.... Front desk manager was very rude and all in our business as we held private conversations. If I could rate this a negative number I would like -250 it totally sucks!

Very large, nice, clean room. Located right on the first floor near the back entrance so we could easily take the dog out for her walks. Nice clean grounds with several dog waste disposal stations. Large grassy areas for dog walks. Staff was super nice and pet friendly. Free wifi that actually worked. Free breakfast, nothing super fancy, cereal, bagels, juice, make your own waffles, etc.
