Review of NH Collection Barcelona Podium

Rooms are clean and small but very practical. The view isn’t great as the bedroom window is high and small and there is no outside space/window balcony so you feel a little penned in.
The hotel has a pleasant roof top terrace and balcony however the hotel won’t let you have access to this lovely space until 10am which is a real shame considering it’s the only outside space the hotel has. Despite standing at the door at 9:50am staff would not let us outside to sit and enjoy a coffee. This seemed very unreasonable.
Drinks at the roof bar are outrageously priced with 2 single house vodkas costing €30. I definitely recommend going out to the lovely street bodegas and paying around €6 a drink.
The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance from almost all the key sights or at most an easy taxi or metro ride.
The hotel is slightly let down by some of the staff attitudes in dealing with feedback and general demeanor. I say some, as most are very courteous and helpful.
It is also recommended you request your room cleaning service time or it might not occur until 5pm. Please don’t expect it to be done while you are out for the day.
All in all the hotel is a good hotel but I would rate it more highly for its great location over the services and facilities.

Excellent stay at NH Barcelona Podium

We arrived mid-morning and the hotel was able to get us into our room right away in spite of it being before official check-in time. Our room was exactly what we expected, not luxurious but with a simple elegance. The staff was very responsive to our requests for directions and extra towels, etc. The gym was situated near the rooftop lounge/pool/sitting area and was sufficient for a typical business traveler. The breakfast was very nice, the typical amenities plus an egg/omelet station. The location was great, very near a metro station and a 10 minute walk to the Placa de Catalunya.

Barcelona July 2022

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The facilities and staff made our city break such a fantastic experience. Great location for city sightseeing, Excellent food both at breakfast and on the roof top terrace. Cannot wait to return in the future

A great place to stay!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. From arrival to checking out I can’t say a bad word about them! They have been so accommodating throughout our stay including a small birthday cake, card and balloons for my fiancé (this mini break was for her birthday).

The room we stayed in (118) was huge and on two levels. I’m not sure if we were upgraded but it was lovely and a great view too!

Aircon was great, even the small touches such as speakers in the ceiling that played the local radio were brilliant.

The rooftop pool and bar was excellent and so quiet all throughout the day.

The only thing I would avoid is the breakfast, at €24.90 per person. We didn’t actually see what was on offer but personally I think it is a little expensive.

All in all a great place to stay that’s close to the city. We will not hesitate to stay here again if we return to the beautiful Barcelona!

Weekend

Friendlly staff , nice room and swimmingpool at the terasse was TOP !! Snack and drink in the restaurant was TOP too. Breakfast was TOP too ( omelletes top ) !!! Next time i come again !! Jakub Czech Republic

Absolute satisfaction

Nice hotel near centre of the Barcelona. With comfortable rooms and excellent and authentic spanish breakfast. Hotel staff was perfectly professional and very kind.
The pool at the roof of the hotel was amazing pleasure of all our holiday time.
