What a great place! We originally booked for a 7 night stay, and ended up extending for an extra 2 nights. We had not seen the place, just going off previous reviews, and they were not wrong. It has a wonderful location - right across the road from the water where we saw humpback whales swim by, a cruise ship go by, and beautiful sunrises in the mornings. The cottage has everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable and quiet. Despite being on a busy street, there was absolutely no traffic noise. Karen was so helpful and friendly with everything from the booking process, to extending our stay, and giving us advice on things to see and do. We enjoyed everything about this place and highly recommend!

We recently stayed for 3 nights in one of the cottages, #43. Easy self check in, friendly hosts, quiet area. Absolutely the cleanest place we have ever stayed! The kitchen was fully stocked with enough dishes and pots, etc. to easily cook meals.

The cottage we are staying in is comfortable and clean. It is a one-bedroom, cottage with a full kitchen. Located across from a rocky beach with a walking path beside the highway you have the benefit of salt air with a safe place to walk. Short drive into the city of Campbell River with a view of Quadra Island and Cape Mudge Lighthouse station. You will not be disappointed.

The cottages are actually joined together so there's no real privacy. The units are small and the fridge is a motel size so it's not great if you're staying several days. The shower is the size of a postage stamp so if you're on the larger side you'd be very uncomfortable. The toilet paper roll holder is behind where you sit and high up so you really need to twist to get at it.
They need to put a mirror in the bedroom so someone can put makeup on etc while someone else is in the bathroom. There's no vent on the stove and they're picky about what you cook ( no fish or curry etc) there's a stove with an oven though.
You can't smoke on your patio area you have to go across the little lane to a covered bbq area not the end of the world but it decreases your enjoyment of your patio space. There's no ashtray or garage can out there either.
Don't bother trying to be nice and put your trash and recycling in their bins. The cleaning lady made us feel like crap for doing it wrong. Really talked down to us. There's a lot of RV's in here and they like you to be quiet after 8pm. This is not a place to have have much fun but if you like absolute quiet this would be a good choice.
We're 63 and 70 and we felt very restricted.
On the plus side the beach is right across the road and they do give you a beach bucket to take down and the bed is extremely comfortable.

Hello Kileebea, Oh Gosh, well that didn't go well. We treat everyone of our Guests to a quiet and smoke free, clean environment! All of our Accommodation is 100% Covid 19 prepped. With Self Check In and Out, & reduced Housekeeping, our interaction with our Guests is limited, for safety sake. If we had known about your concerns when you were here, we would have addressed them at that time. We provide the BBQ Cookhouse for your outdoor culinary adventures, free bicycles for exploring and Campfire Beach Buckets to take to the beach for a cozy fire. Yes we provide a full recycle facility and garbage drop off just steps away from the Cottages, but not at the Cottage's doors. We make every effort to hit it out of the park for each of our Guests, but it didn't work for your stay. We are sorry and disappointed that it fell short of your expectations. We rented a one bedroom apartment/cabin unit with a small bathroom, kitchen and living room/dining area with a small deck. Freshly decorated and very clean. The kitchen which had a real stove, mini fridge, sink and basic kitchen supplies was exactly what we needed. Karen, our host, was friendly and very responsive. There are also laundry facilities on the property and community bbq. Loved our stay. Downtown and restaurants are only 8 min away, so it's in a great location. Great value for your budget. I recommend this place as a base for adventures in and around Campbell River.

What a wonderful experience! The cottages are impeccably clean and very cozy and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the unit had plenty of extra linens and pillows. The extra touches like special coffee (tied with a bow), real cream and Lindor chocolates were above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely stay here again!

Small, cozy little cottage/cabin with an ocean view. Karen, the owner, was waiting for us and is totally welcoming and charming. There are tons of personal little touches inside that make you feel special and valued as a guest. They aren’t the most modern cottages, and the shower is small enough to be a challenge, but the bed was comfortable and we just loved it. Karen thanks for making us feel so welcome! We’ll definitely come again!

We needed two units and both were comfortable and spotlessly clean. They were well equipped and, when we encountered problems with the coffee maker, Karen was quick to respond. She also mailed things we inadvertently left behind. Highly recommended.
