I booked this hotel with high expectations after having a choice from my other loyalty schemes. So was excited even before I arrived.
The good reviews I don’t not understand which hotel or room they stayed in. But I was disappointed from the begging when the taxi dropped me off the hotel, it looks old and runs down, (nothing like the photos) and no way as shiny or glamours, the lobby is tiny. I arrived early ok fine don’t give me an early checkin I actually asked and you could have been bit more politer but they were like come back back at 3pm, which I would any way right ? This is not cheap place. The staff here are not trained well or up to scratch for an international 4* hotel. That is something else I would not rate this as upscale 4* like it sells itself but a 2.5 * hotel.
My room was like only the bed had been made, with towels left; the floor was dusty and dirty there was blonde hair on the couch, the bathroom on the hangers there was hair left over. 🤮.room and room and Bed was very tiny, some of the doors were flimsy ikea style easily.
Breakfast for an nh hotel very low standard, and in Spain I expected some good food on the menu, it is nice spread but 4* nh standard I expected much more. Not coming here on my next business trip to Barcelona this is a no from me as I am big on staff, hygiene and cleaningness and this hotel is not. Also don’t think they were very welcoming or would want customers like myself.
