We've stayed at the adjoining property (Hilton Bonnet Creek) numerous times, and my wife really appreciated the upgrade over to the Waldorf. It definitely has a more "luxury resort" feel to it. Less families present which would be what you'd likely expect at the Waldorf with business functions going on there, but it was a welcome upgrade. The pool amenities were not crowded at all, and we found it very relaxing to be down by the pool which had a lap pool, hot tub, and zero entry side which was great for the kids and adults various needs.
I'm also a big breakfast fan at the Hilton properties I stay at, so I was pleased to see the great breakfast offering they had. Diamond members can upgrade to the full breakfast buffet for $15 / person which has everything you could want. The continental breakfast also had some great offerings.
The other really nice thing about this property if you're visiting Disney is the fact they have a dedicated, nice shuttle (really a chartered bus) that only stops at Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf. It was never packed and we could even load our large stroller underneath without having to unfold - huge plus from the inconvenience of driving to the parks and then loading on a tram.
The exercise room is significantly nicer than almost any other hotel gym I've visited. They even had 2 Pelotons! If you'd rather run outside, there's a nice trail that runs alongside the golf course and neighboring Hilton property which was enjoyable.
Elevators were prompt, staff was nice and courteous, buses ran on schedule, property was clean. I really don't have any complaints. In fairness, we never tried any of the restaurants onsite (outside of Oscar's for breakfast), so I can't speak to the dining experiences. Might be nice to have a quick and easy spot to grab a sandwich/salad or something when in a hurry, but overall the stay was excellent!
We hope to return back again sometime in the future!

I liked the fact that there were 4 complimentary bottles of water in the room as 2 (which is the standard in so many hotels) simply isn't enough. Also as a Diamond member, you can elect to do a continental breakfast or a to-go breakfast which I opted to select. That included a rather large breakfast sandwich, a good sized cup of fruit and a beverage.
Valet parking at $40 per night is the only option here which I thought was reasonable.
Finally, while I didn't get to spend much time, I thought the pool was very nice and not overrun with people, again it could have just been the time of the week that I went. Overall very happy and I hope to come back with my wife in the future.
Our kids enjoyed the pool and also enjoyed an afternoon at the waterpark at the adjacent Hilton, open to Resort guests. The Waldorf pool was not too crowded and the lounge seats were arranged with social distancing in mind. We wanted to book a cabana but were told that the few that they had were booked months in advance for spring break week. A tip is to reserve your lounge seats as soon as the pool opens if you are planning to use the pool on a particular day as they all seemed to be reserved by 10AM.
The food was well prepared and tasty, especially the in room dining options and the dinner we enjoyed at Bull & Bear (see separate review). The kids loved the NY style pizza ordered to our room as well as the freshly baked pastries we ordered for them every morning of our stay. The Grab N Go service at Peacock Alley near the Lobby was very convenient and had good options.
I booked the Himalayan Salt Therapy Room through the Spa for 30 minutes. The room itself featured a pebbled floor, pretty wall coverings and ambient lighting. While we sat in the two plush leather chairs, tiny particles of salt dispersed into the air, which I believe is similar to what you would find in a natural salt cave. It was a unique and relaxing experience, and I would highly recommend it.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and could not ask for a better trip during these unprecedented times.
However the rooms are in dire need of an upgrade, they are very dated and tired, some of the parasols at the pool were filthy and had holes in, the cost of the (very average) food and drinks at the pool bar were ridiculous, and you are charged a $45 plus tax resort fee each day to cover 2 bottles of water for your room, WiFi, golf fees, golf buggies, the gym, and 20% discount at the spa. Big thanks to Marisa at reception for helping us to have this cost reduced to a more reasonable level.
The pool staff deserve their own mention as they work so very hard… they remember your name and keep you supplied with iced water between drinks to keep you hydrated. And the sunbed towels are fabulous! They cover the entire sunbed and even hook over the back so it doesn’t slip down.
Our experience at the Bull & Bear restaurant was faultless. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, the staff were well informed and happy to answer any questions, and were attentive without being overbearing.
I used the spa one day which was a lovely experience. Again the staff were very helpful and I enjoyed my treatment.
We used the facilities at the Signia next door a couple of times, there was always something interesting going on in the conference section in between the hotels. We enjoyed the Asian and Italian restaurants. They also had a proper coffee shop where I had a very good iced latté however they closed it down whilst doing some renovation work.
Lots of building work going on to both the front and the back of the hotel, spoiled the view a bit but not too much noise
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday but will not return to the Waldorf Astoria
The room was elegant and so clean. When you enter you have extra towels, a bath robe, slippers, and free alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink vouchers to use at the bar.
The onsite restaurant, Oscar's, had very friendly staff and the food was amazing.
Cant wait to go back!
We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed everything put out by the property. I would recommend to a friend or colleague in a heartbeat.
My boyfriend and I have stayed at WA's around the world and whilst this isn't as luxurious as the WA Dubai it is certainly lovely for an Orlando hotel and has the classic WA vibe.
Perfect location for Disney. There is a shuttle but we only got it once and instead chose to Uber most days as this was easier. Hotel itself is lovely, we loved the pool and grounds and even the lobby is super pretty! Would 100% recommend and stay again for a Disney trip.
Only issue we had the whole trip was we decided to eat dinner in the adjoining Hilton hotel and when we ordered wine (we are 25 & 26) we were told our driving licenses were not acceptable IDs and the restaurant said we have to show passports. Now, to give them credit, a gold buggy was provided to drive my boyfriend back to our hotel to get them, but I found this all very odd. We had been in Florida for 10 days at this point and no one (including WA staff) had said our driving licenses weren't acceptable but the manager in La Luce (quite rudely) told us there is no way anyone would serve us in Orlando without our passports - which quite frankly is not true. We also asked if they could just ring WA reception as they had copies of our passports and could verify our age. Of course this is not the WA fault, but obviously the hotels are connected and one resort so thought I should mention.
Otherwise, absolutely love the WA Orlando and hopefully will be back!
I did not get a Disney view upgrade even though I was there for my birthday but I realize that upgrades are subject to availability. Still, our room had a slight Disney view. The room itself was great, little outdated in terms of decor (and a bit on the smallish side for a five star hotel) but I don' think it's in need of an immediate renovation by any means. I was able to use my Amazon firestick so that was nice.
Wifi seemed a bit slow but that may have been because we were at the end of the hallway. Two sinks would have been nice in the bathroom but in the standard rooms it doesn't appear that there's enough space for that.
We ordered room service for breakfast nearly every day and it was very quick (20-30 minutes) and of decent quality for room service. The 24% added on gratuity and $5.00 service charge were a bit much but I've become accustomed to this from my frequent trips to Vegas.
Location is really terrific and the shuttle buses, though they don't run that often (maybe once an hour, sometimes less than that), were very convenient and hardly full (maybe 10-15 people each time we used it). Beware that surge pricing (Uber) at park close can be around $40. Normal pricing is about $10.
Pool area was nice, not too crowded, plenty of chairs. Bar staff at the pool literally ignored us for 5 minutes when we went up to get a drink but I think they realized this and gave us our drink for free which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was very nice.
I would stay here again for just the bed alone.
