The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is celebrated for its prime location near Disney, with many guests applauding the added convenience. While the hotel's upscale atmosphere and spotless cleanliness receive high marks, some visitors feel the elegant charm is diminished by outdated elements. The amenities, including the pool and spa, are generally well-received, though guests should be mindful of potential renovation disruptions and high fees. Room comfort and views are praised, despite occasional service delays. Service is largely commended for attentiveness; however, experiences with slow service have been noted. The value proposition is met with skepticism, as some guests question the alignment of high costs with the overall experience.

My family (wife and 2 young girls) had a great trip to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando this week! We took a family vacation down to Disney and had a few birthday celebrations as well. I had also spoken with management, and I greatly appreciated their response to help me make this a special trip for everyone!

We've stayed at the adjoining property (Hilton Bonnet Creek) numerous times, and my wife really appreciated the upgrade over to the Waldorf. It definitely has a more "luxury resort" feel to it. Less families present which would be what you'd likely expect at the Waldorf with business functions going on there, but it was a welcome upgrade. The pool amenities were not crowded at all, and we found it very relaxing to be down by the pool which had a lap pool, hot tub, and zero entry side which was great for the kids and adults various needs.

I'm also a big breakfast fan at the Hilton properties I stay at, so I was pleased to see the great breakfast offering they had. Diamond members can upgrade to the full breakfast buffet for $15 / person which has everything you could want. The continental breakfast also had some great offerings.

The other really nice thing about this property if you're visiting Disney is the fact they have a dedicated, nice shuttle (really a chartered bus) that only stops at Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf. It was never packed and we could even load our large stroller underneath without having to unfold - huge plus from the inconvenience of driving to the parks and then loading on a tram.

The exercise room is significantly nicer than almost any other hotel gym I've visited. They even had 2 Pelotons! If you'd rather run outside, there's a nice trail that runs alongside the golf course and neighboring Hilton property which was enjoyable.

Elevators were prompt, staff was nice and courteous, buses ran on schedule, property was clean. I really don't have any complaints. In fairness, we never tried any of the restaurants onsite (outside of Oscar's for breakfast), so I can't speak to the dining experiences. Might be nice to have a quick and easy spot to grab a sandwich/salad or something when in a hurry, but overall the stay was excellent!

We hope to return back again sometime in the future!

I was travelling alone for one night stay at this property but was impressed at how quiet and peaceful it was. Perhaps it's covid and the fact that there just weren't a lot of people staying but I enjoyed the quietness of it all. As a diamond member, I was upgraded to a room on the 11th floor with a pool and Disney park view. Very nice room. Everything seemed cleaned but I did have some minor issues with several light bulbs not working (I tested them on various lamps to be sure).

I liked the fact that there were 4 complimentary bottles of water in the room as 2 (which is the standard in so many hotels) simply isn't enough. Also as a Diamond member, you can elect to do a continental breakfast or a to-go breakfast which I opted to select. That included a rather large breakfast sandwich, a good sized cup of fruit and a beverage.

Valet parking at $40 per night is the only option here which I thought was reasonable.

Finally, while I didn't get to spend much time, I thought the pool was very nice and not overrun with people, again it could have just been the time of the week that I went. Overall very happy and I hope to come back with my wife in the future.

Like other recent reviewers below, we also booked through American Express and this was also our first pandemic trip. It was also a last minute trip and we booked a suite with a balcony only a week before our trip. We felt comfortable with the Covid precautions taken by the hotel and appreciated the great lengths the staff took to make us comfortable during our 4-night stay.

Our kids enjoyed the pool and also enjoyed an afternoon at the waterpark at the adjacent Hilton, open to Resort guests. The Waldorf pool was not too crowded and the lounge seats were arranged with social distancing in mind. We wanted to book a cabana but were told that the few that they had were booked months in advance for spring break week. A tip is to reserve your lounge seats as soon as the pool opens if you are planning to use the pool on a particular day as they all seemed to be reserved by 10AM.

The food was well prepared and tasty, especially the in room dining options and the dinner we enjoyed at Bull & Bear (see separate review). The kids loved the NY style pizza ordered to our room as well as the freshly baked pastries we ordered for them every morning of our stay. The Grab N Go service at Peacock Alley near the Lobby was very convenient and had good options.

I booked the Himalayan Salt Therapy Room through the Spa for 30 minutes. The room itself featured a pebbled floor, pretty wall coverings and ambient lighting. While we sat in the two plush leather chairs, tiny particles of salt dispersed into the air, which I believe is similar to what you would find in a natural salt cave. It was a unique and relaxing experience, and I would highly recommend it.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and could not ask for a better trip during these unprecedented times.

Stayed for 2 weeks for a Disney holiday, our first time in a Waldorf Astoria. Lots of positives… the staff were lovely & very helpful, the rooms were very clean, lots of towels, wonderful view of the fireworks at night, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the restaurants we used were excellent.
However the rooms are in dire need of an upgrade, they are very dated and tired, some of the parasols at the pool were filthy and had holes in, the cost of the (very average) food and drinks at the pool bar were ridiculous, and you are charged a $45 plus tax resort fee each day to cover 2 bottles of water for your room, WiFi, golf fees, golf buggies, the gym, and 20% discount at the spa. Big thanks to Marisa at reception for helping us to have this cost reduced to a more reasonable level.
The pool staff deserve their own mention as they work so very hard… they remember your name and keep you supplied with iced water between drinks to keep you hydrated. And the sunbed towels are fabulous! They cover the entire sunbed and even hook over the back so it doesn’t slip down.
Our experience at the Bull & Bear restaurant was faultless. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, the staff were well informed and happy to answer any questions, and were attentive without being overbearing.
I used the spa one day which was a lovely experience. Again the staff were very helpful and I enjoyed my treatment.
We used the facilities at the Signia next door a couple of times, there was always something interesting going on in the conference section in between the hotels. We enjoyed the Asian and Italian restaurants. They also had a proper coffee shop where I had a very good iced latté however they closed it down whilst doing some renovation work.
Lots of building work going on to both the front and the back of the hotel, spoiled the view a bit but not too much noise
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday but will not return to the Waldorf Astoria

I was finally able to stay at this beautiful resort with my girlfriend who is a BIG fan of Disney. We arrived late and as soon as we pulled up we were greeted by two very friendly valet staff who assisted us with our bags. When we walked in we checked in with Sarah who explained all of the hotel amenities and assisted us with the locations of the restaurant and the disney shuttle pick up.

The room was elegant and so clean. When you enter you have extra towels, a bath robe, slippers, and free alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink vouchers to use at the bar.

The onsite restaurant, Oscar's, had very friendly staff and the food was amazing.

Cant wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights during a family Disney World trip from March 8-13th. The rest of my family stayed on Disney property but we didn't want to be surrounded by Disney 24/7. We found the Waldorf to be a PERFECT getaway from the noise and commotion of the Disney properties and can't wait to return in the future. Our room was spotless and very well-appointed, service from the desk and bell staff was top notch, and both Oscars and Peacock Alley were fantastic in terms of both food and service. We utilized the Disney shuttle service on a few occasions without any issues, but used UBER/Lyft a lot too as we didn't always have time to wait for the next shuttle to or from. We had a top floor room with views of the parks so we were able to see the fireworks on a few nights that we returned to the hotel earlier. Location-wise, the Waldorf is in a great position between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. No rides to the parks took more than 15 minutes.

We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed everything put out by the property. I would recommend to a friend or colleague in a heartbeat.

Stayed here July 2019 after staying 6 nights at Universal we moved here for 6 nights to enjoy Disney.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at WA's around the world and whilst this isn't as luxurious as the WA Dubai it is certainly lovely for an Orlando hotel and has the classic WA vibe.

Perfect location for Disney. There is a shuttle but we only got it once and instead chose to Uber most days as this was easier. Hotel itself is lovely, we loved the pool and grounds and even the lobby is super pretty! Would 100% recommend and stay again for a Disney trip.

Only issue we had the whole trip was we decided to eat dinner in the adjoining Hilton hotel and when we ordered wine (we are 25 & 26) we were told our driving licenses were not acceptable IDs and the restaurant said we have to show passports. Now, to give them credit, a gold buggy was provided to drive my boyfriend back to our hotel to get them, but I found this all very odd. We had been in Florida for 10 days at this point and no one (including WA staff) had said our driving licenses weren't acceptable but the manager in La Luce (quite rudely) told us there is no way anyone would serve us in Orlando without our passports - which quite frankly is not true. We also asked if they could just ring WA reception as they had copies of our passports and could verify our age. Of course this is not the WA fault, but obviously the hotels are connected and one resort so thought I should mention.

Otherwise, absolutely love the WA Orlando and hopefully will be back!

Me and my wife planned a family trip for us, our adult children and our 5 grandchildren. We wanted it to be a special time together yet we wanted ease of access to Disney yet the luxury of a 5 star resort. The Waldorf Astoria was amazing, amazing, amazing!! Upon arrival, we knew we were at a special hotel. We were greeted by multiple staff, our bags were quickly sweeped away, waters were given to us and the beautiful tall doors were opened to enter the world of this magnificent hotel. The front desk staff were seasoned, efficient and made us so excited to experience the hotel. Accomodations were magnificent with beautiful furniture, amazing beds and wonderful bathroom amenities fit for a king and queen. The housekeeping staff were wonderful and were sensitive to helping to organize the room when children were in them. The rooms were spotless each day. Room service is a must! The menu is wonderful and the staff make it so exciting because of their enthusiasm. We loved the breakfast room each day. All the stations were fresh and the staff was so kind. One of the staff members, Marie, made Mickey Mouse pancakes for my grandchildren each day and they were made with love and caring. All of the staff is wonderful but Reda, one of the servers should be requested. He is kind, caring and learns all of the likes of his guests down to how they like their coffee and that is how it is presented each day when sitting down for breakfast. The juices are fresh squeezed, the breads and croissants prepared each day and omelettes were made to order. It was a wonderful start to each day. The pools are large with jacuzzi present and a wonderful staff who cater to adults and to kids. They even have miniature golf near the pool to keep the kids and adults busy. I admired the amazing golf course and will go back to enjoy it but was busy with my grandchildren so could not play the course this time. Disney is so amazingly close. It was a $7 Uber ride to Hollywood studios and they have a beautiful bus that goes each hour to take to the parks and from the parks. The parks are so close yet it was nice to come back after spending the day at the parks to be pampered at this wonderful property. The spa offers wonderful treatments. At the end of the day, I could not wait to get into bed. The linens were wonderful and the mattresses were better than a hammer over my head to put me to sleep quickly. My wife and I agreed that it is so wonderful to be at a hotel that is so close to all of the attractions yet we definitely plan to come back to enjoy the hotel. It is a true resort. While everywhere we go, we understand how difficult it is for hotels to "staff up" after covid yet this hotel has the most amazing staff I have ever seen in a hotel. If anyone ever creates a category of 6 stars, this is the first hotel I would put in that category. Cant wait to return!!!!

First off, I will say this is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. I am a VERY light sleeper especially at hotels but I had no problems falling asleep in this bed, even after my non-Disney park days. Also, did not notice any noise from the AC/Heat and again, I am a VERY light sleeper.

I did not get a Disney view upgrade even though I was there for my birthday but I realize that upgrades are subject to availability. Still, our room had a slight Disney view. The room itself was great, little outdated in terms of decor (and a bit on the smallish side for a five star hotel) but I don' think it's in need of an immediate renovation by any means. I was able to use my Amazon firestick so that was nice.
Wifi seemed a bit slow but that may have been because we were at the end of the hallway. Two sinks would have been nice in the bathroom but in the standard rooms it doesn't appear that there's enough space for that.

We ordered room service for breakfast nearly every day and it was very quick (20-30 minutes) and of decent quality for room service. The 24% added on gratuity and $5.00 service charge were a bit much but I've become accustomed to this from my frequent trips to Vegas.

Location is really terrific and the shuttle buses, though they don't run that often (maybe once an hour, sometimes less than that), were very convenient and hardly full (maybe 10-15 people each time we used it). Beware that surge pricing (Uber) at park close can be around $40. Normal pricing is about $10.

Pool area was nice, not too crowded, plenty of chairs. Bar staff at the pool literally ignored us for 5 minutes when we went up to get a drink but I think they realized this and gave us our drink for free which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was very nice.

I would stay here again for just the bed alone.

We had a fabulous 9 night stay here in a twin queen room with our daughter. The hotel is beautiful and although the bedrooms are dated, they didn’t disappoint, the beds are so comfy. The only thing I would say is, there should be some more wardrobe space, with only a small single wardrobe provided for 3/4 guests. Plenty of drawers though, and lots of usb charging points. We were on the 14th ‘Hilton Honors’ floor with a firework view and it was fantastic! Lifts were always instant. Great air conditioning controlled in the room, good sized fridge, tea/coffee making facilities which were replenished daily, as were the soaps etc in the bathroom, which were all decent quality. Rooms were cleaned daily and absolutely spotless, plus an additional visit each evening to replenish towels etc. The bathroom was a good size, with a separate rainfall shower and a decent sized bath, always plenty of hot water, plus a large vanity unit. The pool was great, with great poolside service throughout the day. The hot tub was lovely and hot, so relaxing. The food throughout the hotel was good quality and fresh. We had room service a number of times and although a bit pricey, was very well presented. We particularly liked the breakfast bar which popped up each morning serving fresh muffins, sweet and savoury pastries, I think we tried them all! Plus fresh coffee & tea to take away, which was great on our way to the parks. The free coach transfer to the Disney parks was excellent, usually half-hourly, never overly full, always on time and much nicer than the overcrowded Disney buses provided at the Disney hotels! We have stayed at the Signia by Hilton Hotel ‘attached’ previously which has a more contemporary feel, however, we were upgraded this time, thanks to Virgin Holidays, due to some works taking place in their lobby, and we weren’t disappointed at all. We’d highly recommend either of these hotels, superb!

There are a few restaurants on property and more at the Hilton next-door, which isn’t a terribly long walk. But these resorts are sat rather far away from any entertainment areas and they would definitely need a car service to get anywhere outside of the resort.
