We recently spent a night at the Willow House Inn while on a tour of Nova Scotia. Brenda and George were very friendly and welcoming, and their home is beautiful. Our room (Willow) was roomy, comfortable and absolutely spotless (as was the rest of the house). Breakfast was served in a bright cheerful room full of antiques, and was beautifully prepared and presented by Brenda. We enjoyed our conversation with Brenda and George (many laughs!), and our stay here very much. We highly recommend the Willow House Inn and would certainly return. A very good choice in Pictou ...

I travel A LOT across Nova Scotia for work staying in all manner of hotel/Inn/B & B and I can honestly say that the room I stayed in here was my most favourite! I stayed in the Willow Room, which was large and comfortable with a king sized bed and an en suite bath. The room had a small sitting area with two wing back chairs and a small window air conditioner which cooled the room just fine. The room had everything I needed from a clock radio (I like to see what time it is when I wake up at night) to a device charging station and even bubble bath! The room was spotlessly clean (so much so that I felt comfortable taking a bath) and smelled great. Even the lighting (I have a thing about this) was perfect, from the soft light from the bedside lamps to the diffuse light that came through the windows in the late afternoon. The room was equipped with Roku, so I was able to watch Prime and Netflix and the breakfast! I had OJ, a fresh banana muffin, a croissant with ham, cheese, egg, tomato, avocado and micro greens. It was so much that I had to turn down the yogurt and granola lest my stomach explode! But the best part was the hosts—Brenda and George were so welcoming and lovely . . . so if you are on the fence about staying here, don’t be—I promise you won’t regret it!!

From the moment you pull into the driveway you know your stay will be impeccable. Pride of place shows everywhere from the gorgeous garden to the original flooring in your room. Outside there is abundant seating with beautiful views of the garden and the harbor. The Jitney Trail is one block away. Inside the rooms are very large, appointed with period pieces and with modern bathrooms. We stayed in 2C - the Cedar Room. In the dining area there is 24/7 tea and coffee and also a microwave and refrigerator for guest use. The three course breakfast was amazing - including the gluten free muffins made especially for us. But the true gems of this B&B are Brenda and George. They are fun, warm and inviting. We lingered over breakfast for two hours just talking. And as if that weren't enough, we opened our cooler at our next stop to find the leftover gluten free muffins. Such a lovely place and lovely couple. We will be back! Maybe even as neighbors! Don't miss this place!

My husband and I had the most relaxing three days when stayed at the Willow House. We can't say enough wonderful things about the hosts Brenda and George. It was mostly raining when we were there but the one night called for clear skies, so Brenda and George cleaned up the swings around the fire pit so we could enjoy! Our breakfasts were fabulous, Brenda's baking absolutely yummy! They contacted us prior to arriving to let up know some entertainment in town. We stayed in the Willow room --the best room in the place! It was exceptionally clean and really cosy. We would absolutely recommend this Bed and Breakfast! Thanks Brenda and George for your great hospitality! :)

We spent two nights at Willow House Inn , one at the beginning of our tour of Cape Breton and returned for one night at the end of our trip. We have stayed in many B & Bs in many countries, over many years and Willow House is certainly among the best. We stayed in two different rooms, both were comfortable and we slept well. The B & B is walking distance to several restaurants and the hosts willingly shared ideas for dining. As I think about the hosts, Brenda and George, they were certainly a major factor in our enjoyment. They were present without being intrusive. Their welcoming nature and warmth, referring to each guest by name, made us feel that they were truly happy to be hosting us. I must also comment on one of the highlights of our stay at Willow House, the delicious breakfast. Besides the wonderful homemade French toast, each guest was provided with a home baked muffin, for the road, complete with a bag to carry it on our travels. I have never experienced this before, at any B & B. Thank you Brenda and George for a wonderful stay and special memories of our time with you. We hope to return some day. Judy and Fred.

My husband and I spent two very pleasant nights at Willow House Inn. Brenda and George are excellent hosts and turn out a bountiful and delicious breakfast in the morning. We had the lovely Willow Room which features a king bed and plenty of room to spare for seating. Room A/C was welcome during the hot spell and made for total comfort. Nice bath amenity products housed in dispensers found in shower and on bathroom sink. Guests will enjoy the beautiful and calming landscaping which will leads the eye to a view of the Pictou waterfront! Walking into town is easy and flat, and Brenda has restaurant and dinner suggestions if you need them. Little Emma the dog is a sweetie and clearly is at ease with visitors.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and find Willow House Inn one of the nicest B and Bs we have ever visited!

Willow House Inn is a lovely choice! Our hosts were welcoming and customized our stay by asking for our breakfast choices. They provided coffee or tea during the day. Rooms are spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms are heated and air-conditioned. They offer Netflix & streaming TV, which is rare for most Inns and B&B's. The homemade breakfast was delicious & served on china! It consisted of fresh fruit, sweet rolls, French toast, bacon, juice, coffee or tea. The Inn is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, events and amusements. I would suggest reserving a room toward the back of the building, as traffic noise was apparent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Willow House Inn. The room was clean and spacious; the mattress and pillows very comfortable. While the bathroom was 'tight', it met all our needs. And for those of you with chemical sensitivities, you can breathe easy - there are no overpowering scented products used. Breakfast changes daily but same great coffee! Depending on your appetite, you have the option of taking your muffin with you – with a little bag provided. The Innkeepers are attentive and friendly. Thanks Brenda and George! Hope to be back soon!

The Willow House Inn was the perfect first stop in Nova Scotia. While we only stayed one night, we appreciated the warm hospitality of our hosts Brenda and George. Our room (The Cedar Room) was clean, the bed was soft but comfortable, and the small bathroom was efficient with great water pressure. Breakfast the following morning was beyond expectations: freshly baked muffins, a granola/yogurt “course,” followed by a delicious frittata. The coffee was delicious and plentiful as was the lively chatting with other guests. Highly recommend a stay here.

We were immediately greeted by Brenda and her very friendly dog, Emma. What a wonderful welcome! Emma won us over immediately! The room was great, the breakfast was absolutely delicious (quiche, yogurt with berries, english muffin, fruit and blueberry muffins for the road !) and conversing with Brenda and George made the stay absolutely perfect ! I especially liked that the owners are on site as I always have some trepidation when that isn't the case. We would highly recommned this place!
