This museum is well laid out and very informative. My 18year old daughter and I visited and we were both saddened and moved by the history of the Jewish people. Having actual articles from families and survivors was incredible that people were able to save these items and share them with the world. I can only hope and pray that this kind of “cleansing” does not happen again. Although sadly, world events say we may be doomed to repeat our past history.

I went here for the day with my wife. You get the tube from Guy Concordia and when you get off at the station walk away from the station down the main road. About 400 yards down on the opposite side of the road you will see the place with the Jewish flag outside. We had to check our bags in and we paid $16 for the pair of us.

For anyone needing the loo, its down a passage near the cafe and then down in the lift to the bathrooms. We went in to the centre and saw all the items on view. There is a lot of information which explains the history of the Jews in Germany and the effect of Nazism on them.

The worst part of this visit was that there was a group of teenage school children there who were constantly walking around, hitting each other and being totally disrespectful to the museum and the items on display. If we were watching a video we could not concentrate because of the racket they kept making. At one point turned to some of them and asked if they had no respect the museum and the items on display. I heard some students mention some English person and I knew they were talking about me because their behaviour was disgraceful.

At the end of the visit we mentioned their behaviour to the lady in the box office and she mentioned that she had seen it too. One of the main difficulties was that there was a teacher with them who did nothing to challenge them and just left them to do their own thing. Staff mentioned that students visit free and we asked that they mentioned this behaviour to other staff and hopefully a letter would be written to the college concerned to explain to them about the concerns. It was really disgraceful. The staff offered to give us free tickets to come again, but we reluctantly had to refuse, but we thanked them for their gesture.

On the positive side there is lots of material on view, including stuff on computer screens which shows events from the early 1930's until the end of the war. We would have really enjoyed the visit if it had not been for the disrespectful students. I looked for the teacher afterwards so I could have words with him, but he was nowhere to be found. The fact that he tolerated such behaviour shows how little thought he gave to the place and the materials on display.

We visit Holocaust Museum in every city we visit. This one clearly was put together with care and with love. There's always so much to learn and to keep us on our toes when we say "Nevr again"!!

Really liked the experience and see how the story is told. It may seem small at first but there is a lot to see, archive, videos, it’s a great learning experience for all ages.

I booked a ticket without any kind of expectation. The time adviced for a visit was one hour and half (due to covid) but I had the chance to skip this rule.
What can you see during this gap of time ? Just a third of the museum! Even if I have a good "knowledge" on the topic, I discovered more and I was glad to visit the place, where I stayed 3 houres (could stay more if I wasn't that exausted). Don't understand how people can just stay one damed hour and half.

What a treasure of information. I loved it and would highly recommend to those interested in learning more of WWII - journey of Holocaust survivors and life behind the dreadful walls of ghettos and in concentration camps

After having been to Auschwitz and the Washington DC Holocaust memorials, institutions that ( rightly) overwhelm a person with the horror and sorrow of the magnitude of the event that was the Holocaust, this small museum does an excellent job of illustrating that each persons experience during that terrible time was a unique story worthy of being told. From the small, sometimes everyday, items donated by survivors, stories are told that cannot help but bring a few tears to one’s eyes, but not only sad stories; happy and uplifting ones as well.

I visited during the Covid pandemic period; the museum is small so social distancing is not easy, however the museum has developed excellent safety practices which made me very comfortable during the visit. To control the volume of visitors, staff did tell everyone to respect the 1.5 hours visit limit. Personally, I would have ideally had a bit more time than the 1.5 hrs, allotted so use your time wisely while you are there. In particular, I recommend downloading the museum app, which with headphones allows you to access well produced commentary on the various exhibits. There are audio visual exhibits on display as well (primarily it seems interviews on TV monotors with survivors) but I found these went on longer than I wanted, especially given the 1.5 hr time limit, so after listening to one or two, I skipped them for the rest of my visit. I found the app descriptions to be much more affecting in any event.

A must see exhibit.

I wasn’t expecting such a museum here. And I was not expected to be moved quite as much as I was. This is a must see museum. It would also make the perfect gloomy wet weather day activity to had in the sidelines.

We are glad to made the extra tip to visit this Memorial Centre.
It was very emotional, interesting and touching. There are lots of artefacts and real life memories to take you back to the horrors of what Jews and various other people experienced. The way the museum is set up is clear and engaging.
It didn't take us too long to explore, around 2 hours should be fine.
