I was in Barcelona with girlfriend and went there on the recommendation of some friends from London. Well, we found a hidden gem! The food was delicious, great quality and well presented. I have some food allergies, but the owner was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu and suggesting the right combinations to try. And right he was. Unlike many other places in Barcelona, you are greeted with a smile, by all the staff, that seems to take pride is making sure that you live with one on your face. The missus was pleased too, which makes life easier. Go to Taps..

This is defintely my favourite place in Barcelona, it’s cosy and I love the chilled atmosphere. Either you go there for a drink or for dinner, a great experience is 100% guaranteed! They have an amazing craft beer (don’t miss out try) and a wide selection of regional wines: don’t worry if you are the undecided kind of person, the staff is very attentive and great on giving suggestions! The service is brilliant and the staff members are very friends, they know how to look after their customers, which is definitely a plus! The food is delicious and super tasty, I can still dream of their handmade meatballs and I can’t wait to go back! 😊
Totally fabulous, highly recommended!
Ps. It’s worth mentioning that they put in place all the hygienic measure to help keep COVID19 out of the way!

I can't say enough about the staff at this restaurant. The service was great AND the food was awesome! The calamari was some of the best I've had in Europe. The rest of the tapas was great, but my favorite was the calamari. We requested wine recommendations and were impressed with their choices. It's a small menu, but what they do they do very well. Our son was working at the hotel so we requested take away. They don't do take out, but the manager left, borrowed some containers and even gave us the mason jar that the Tiramisu came in. We had full dinner with drinks and for three people and the price was very reasonable.

We just had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant! 5 of us ordered tapas and drinks and everything was delicious. The manager (or owner?) was friendly and available. After we paid our very reasonable bill of less than 100euro, he served us each a small amount of oroju on the house. We’re hooked! Highly recommend!

Some of the best tasting tapas we had in all Barcelona. A great place to have really reasonable and delicious food. We visited twice with the first time being just us and a few other diners in the small street side restaurant. Every plate we had was excellent - each had something about it that showed they had thought and cared about creating high quality food. Our second visit was late one evening and this time it was as busy as it could be - still we were seated and served in excellent time. The atmosphere was great with a really happy group of staff clearly enjoying their work, engaging with patrons and still serving everything to a professional degree.

We were excited to visit Taps after reading the reviews and having some delightful tapa dinners in Barcelona in the past. We were so disappointed! The atmosphere was good and service was warm, but the food was average and below. We enjoyed the potatoes, the meatballs were just ok, and the calamari was the worst we had ever had. It was mostly breading, was over fried in micro pieces and was very over seasoned. When the server asked about our meal, I was gracious but honest about the calamari. She didn’t even respond. It takes more than this to earn a 4 star review even with “reasonable” prices. I can’t reconcile all the glowing prior reviews with what we experienced.

Having chosen Taps as a result of the favourable Google reviews of this restaurant, we were left feeling underwhelmed after our visit here. Although a nice environment, sadly to say, Taps is very much overrated.
Our visit was on a moderately busy evening, yet despite this being a small restaurant that wasn't overly busy, we waited an unacceptably lengthy amount of time for our meals, so much so that we had thought they had forgotten our order, and spoke to the waitress to check if the order was on it's way - a simple sign-posting visit to our table from any of the staff working that night letting us know of the wait beforehand would have been helpful.
To drink, I ordered the lemonade, only to find that this was simply squeezed lemon juice - no sweetener, no sugar. It really was awful. I do not recommend it.
I'm sure that other visitors have had an enjoyable visit here, but unfortunately we were not one of them.

Cute little restaurant, nice inside and warm welcome. Great music being played but most importantly very tasty food. Would recommend the mini sausages, chicken wings and the bread & aioli. Little more pricey than other tapas we visited in Barca but not overly expensive.
Small restaurant so need to get there early, we got there about 7.15 and we got a table fine but it very quickly filled. If you get choice ask to go in the back room away from the bar as we found that the people at the bar waiting for tables were watching us eat, almost with a ‘hurry up’ look on their faces!

We showed up two hours late to our res because we go confused and had an amazing time. They were so nice and accommodating, we loved the food (fried fish was a personal favorite) and great beer, and would love to go back! Staff was so friendly and let us stay late to finish our beer which was really sweet. Good people good food good times.

This place looks unassuming but the food is good.
The food is delivered by hard working staff who are friendly and speak good English.
From simple padron peppers to potatas bravas, all were well cooked and tasty.
And it was cheap!
I consider this simple restaurant as a true gem.

TAPS truly set the standard for our Mediterranean dining experience here in Barcelona. The staff was phenomenal and friendly and the food was absolutely a dream! We are still drooling over the “Patatas Bravas” and the lovely assortment of wine.
We ordered the patatas bravas, the grilled asparagus, the nachos with guacamole, the seasonal mushrooms, fried squid, and two taco plates and our party of four enjoyed every single bite! We finished our meal with the cream brûlée which was the perfect touch.
Our server was very warm and friendly and even offered us a round of free shots at the end of our meal. The owner was very welcoming and got us a large table for our party of four (despite my rookie tourist move of booking the reservation on the wrong day). It was an amazing dinner experience and we are already excited for our return!

Friendly service and very tasty tapas. The dishes were served very quickly (and separately) which meant that we had to eat the tapas ‘on the go’, but we enjoyed it nevertheless. I would definitely recommend travelling slightly out of central Barcelona to try this place out!

Form the moment you walk in the door the you feel how vibrant Taps is. The staff are great and very friendly. Then comes the food. It was all so good we ordered just about everything so we could sample it all. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to get back to Barcelona to go there again.

The place was pretty packed already at 6:30. We were told they have reservations at 7:30 so we have to be done by then, no problem, we are fast eater. We ordered a few items - grilled cheese, great, meatballs, great, bread, very good, potatoes, great, grilled shrimp, so so, fried squid, tasted good but the squid was so small, we feel like we were mostly eating the batter, service, great (which generally was not our experience in the 4 days dining out in the city). I would return to dine at this restaurant again.

We were recommended Taps by the concierge at the InterContinental hotel where we were staying (literally over the road). The food was fantastic, so much so that we went back the following night. The atmosphere was great. Staff, service and quality of food were amazing. We look forward to visiting there again when we are next in Barcelona. We would thoroughly recommend a visit there.
