Having visited in 2014 I was keen to go back and when we did it did not disappoint. The staff and service was excellent, friendly and professional. The food is truly sensational and fresh! Attention to detail and a culinary delight. We ordered the house special lobster paella (which also comes with a full variety of seafood). It was probably the most expensive paella on the menu at €40 per person however being my birthday this was a treat. They also serve fantastic mixed paella which was a more reasonable price of €22pp. So there’s definitely something for everyone. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality meal away from the hustle and bustle (and pre-made food) that is La Rambla. Thank you Fabrizio for making our evening great!

The paella is a homerun. Since we already ate paella at other places in our stay we made the mistake of ordering just a small plate of paella with two beef plates. How wrong we were... the paella was truly terrific, the best we had in town. Also the service was fantastic, Fabrizzio, if I recall correctly made the experience a whole better. We are truly grateful we found this place.

I just stopped by after walking around the area for a bit. I got the tuna tartare which was awesome. Beautifully plated with what I think was squid ink smeared on the plate with a avocado toast type concept loaded with tuna on top. This was my first dining experience in Barcelona, so hard to judge the pricing, but I thought it was reasonable, and probably would be the same price in my New England foodie town. Oh yea, the manager was extremely nice and welcoming. I would spend some serious dough if I wasn’t alone because the menu was loaded with delicious items. Thanks again!

I was lucky enough to be treated to a trip to Barcelona for my birthday on the 23rd January. And was told that he'd booked us a table. When we arrived, it was very quiet. Though this was to be expected as it's quiet season in Barcelona and we'd gone at 7pm. An early dinner time for locals. As we'd booked a table, I decided not to turn away but to give this small but lovely place a chance. And I'm so glad I did. Fabrizio was a wonderful waiter. Making me feel very spoilt and special. He noticed that I wasn't enjoying my sanghria so he asked if he could help. I didn't want to be rude so I decline but he insisted on making my experience the best ever and replaced it with a lighter drink which was greatly enjoyed with my meal. (though I did get red, Asian flush from the alcohol) 🤣 Thank you Fabrizio for making my birthday meal, one to remember.

We trusted the apparently good ratings but were disappointed. Starters are ridiculously expensive for what you get, eg 17 EUR for Gambas al ajillo that are usually like 8 EUR max. Our seafood paella was 25 EUR pp but had mostly pulpo and only very few mussels and shrimps. Taste was barely ok though. The place is quite small and ventilation is bad, so guests will not stay too long and make room for the next group soon. The aquarium's only inhabitants were two barely moving crabs and some mussels overgrown with seaweed - see pic. Apparently it is only for "decoration". Overall, you pay Michelin star prices for the quality level of a mediocre chiringuito. Just wonder where all the 5 star ratings come from 🤔?

Great paella for the price we paid, definitely recommend. Calamari were also fresh but served in extremely small pieces (difficult to share). The bread with tomato was too expensive for what it is. Location is not ideal as it is next to a busy street. 4 stars for the Paella 3 stars price-quality No clue why they charged me 13€ for "terrace service" when they forced us to seat outside due to the fact that there was a photoshoot on the inside. Check your bill twice before paying, I only saw this once I got home!

We had a great meal here. Our last night in BArcelona so wanted a treat and it was just that. Certainly the best Paella we had during our trip but its just not worth the money. This Paella was more than double the cost of any other we had. Seafood Paella for 2 = €50 ... even the Vegetarian Paella for 2 was over €40 and portion not that big!! Saying that atmosphere and service were spot on, as was the bread with tomato to start. If you go you will enjoy but don’t expect value for money.

We went here after the magic fountain show for dinner. It was an amazing dinner from the time we walked in the treatment you receive is top of the line, Fabricio is knowledgeable and has great recommendations. The food was amazing and they spiced up my sangria just like we asked. Germond was also great and friendly. Very satisfied ,highly recommend it!

We came here based on positive reviews for the vegetarian paella, and it disappointed. The dominant flavor was tomato instead of saffron, and none of the vegetables or rice stood out. It was expensive which isn't unusual for paella, but wish the quality had been higher.

Wonderful experience eating in this restaurant. Starters were delicious salad, coca with different sauces and croquettes made with chipirones. On top of this we had paella with lobster. Very kindly the waiter served the lobster, and we didn't need to deal with the intricacies of eating this delicious crustacean. I'd recommend this restaurant.

we ordered the most expensive Paella they have, seafood paella with lobster and it is the worst.. i dont recommend this place , expensive and the paella rice is hard, we asked the waiter to change it and yet he manage to bring the same. Take note the shrimp on the Paella is too small omg. 49euro per person the audacity!! Waste of time!!!

I came with my girlfriend and we had an amazing evening. We had a table booked (which is recommended as it gets busy) and when we arrived Guille welcomed us warmly and we were offered a table inside or a seat at the bar to wait for an outside table to be prepared for us. We chose to wait for an outside table and were greeted at the bar by Sebastian who made the best mojito my girlfriend had ever had. Within 5 minutes we were seated and given menus. Tomas was a wonderful server and had lots of energy, really adding to the experience. The food was perfect, we had the patatas bravas and bread for starters and paella for our main, as was the sangria - would highly recommend if you’re looking for top quality paella in Barcelona. Overall, fantastic service, delicious food and a lovely evening.

The four of us, my wife and our two grown kids Lady about 30 and young man about 26) had finner last night and enjoyed our three course meal. We had the octopus bruschetta type of starter which is steamed octopus over sliced baked potatoes with olive oil. We all had the fish soup and as main their famous paella. We had the seafood one with cleaned fish (no shells). Our kids shared one crema catalana as dessert. My wife and I could not endulge further. Recommended.

We’re starving and craving for Paella when we visited L’Amfora and they did not disappoint us! Right after we came in, David waited for us straight away and gave recommendations that helped us pick what we’d like. He made us feel at home on our dining experience by his excellent service. The food are really tasty - from appetisers to desserts - perfect! Will surely come back for more ☺️
