Where do I start! From the minute I walked off the shuttle the vibe & service was exceptional. Check in was fast & efficient, made my way to the concierge to ask questions, which were answered quickly. The room was amazing, this was a trip with me & my bestie. We had a walk out right into the lazy River, which went through the whole property. We settled in & went to eat at Oceana for dinner, the food was good. There was a slight mix up on the plates, which was not the Chefs fault but Juan, the gerente there got Ramber, who was the Chef. What a pleasant introduction, both Juan & Ramber made sure everything was great. Our server Willy was a delightful young man & Glenny the hostess was a just as fabulous. They really make you feel like family. The next day, Billy our Butler introduced himself. Let’s just say, the service was already great, Billy took it up a few more notches. We rented a cabana on the beach on the only day the had available, if this is something you’re interested in make sure you reserve it before you arrive. There was a mix up with the Spa, we booked a spa day prior to arriving & when we got there on Friday we stopped by just to verify the time & services. They had no appointment for us & they didn’t honor the price we were given. This was a major irritation, I travel quite often & I always book a spa day without any issues. We got an appointment booked with the help of Billy and let me tell you, it was one of the best treatments I’ve had. Stefany was magnificent, she applied just the right amount of pressure. I had the Queen facial, mango body wrap & massage. Isaias took care of the hydrotherapy, which was also great. We had Santo as our personal server for the cabana, the Chef Ramber prepared a special lunch which was the most delicious food I’ve eaten. Raul, Alexis, Alexander & Carlos were the attendants at the Preferred beach area. They were always great! Here is a list of those workers who stood out & seriously made me feel like a Queen while I was there: Amauris, Leydi, Ana (waitress at buffet), Jeffli, Yeah & Nelson (waiter at Fusion). I did not care for the Teppanyaki at Fusion, the food was bland and quite bad, I actually went to the buffet after the eat. Don’t waste your time with a reservation, just order off the regular menu at Fusion. Housekeeping was also good & the nightly turn down service was a pleasure. We had Eira & Idalis assigned to our room. The temperature in the room was set to 21 & it was too musty, they has maintenance come & adjust it down for us. There aren’t many outlets in the room so bring a dual plug if you remember. I’ve traveled to Cancun 3x in the last 18 months & Dreams Royal is my new favorite spot. I’m planning my birthday party there for next March & possibly going back sooner. Overall experience was phenomenal! I’m so type A & picky about where I stay, this was one of the best!

We were nervous about traveling during the pandemic but from the minute we arrived in the Dominican Republic we were relieved to see that everyone is masked and sanitizer was everywhere. The Dreams Royal Beach resort is absolutely gorgeous, the grounds are landscaped and maintained to perfection. The entire place including the pathways are cleaned all the time. I’ve never seen a cleaner resort. The pool is immaculate and the maids do an amazing job cleaning the beautiful and comfortable rooms. We had a ground floor walkout and I would recommend that. We were in the preferred section and were assigned Marcelo as out butler. Despite our very late arrival (due to airline delays) he was there to greet us. He oriented us to the layout, connected us to his what’s app and was ALWAYS available day and night to immediately grant our every request. He booked our dinner reservations and made sure we had a smooth entree into the restaurant and the best table. We appreciated having a “go to” person who treated us with respect and ALWAYS had a smile and a kind word. The beach is expansive with powdery fine sand, an abundance of shady Palapas, and extremely attentive waiters, such as Alexander to bring us drinks and water bottles all day long. The entertainment was great, Mr. Spaghetti the entertainment director does a great job all day long and there were shows appropriate for adults and children in the evening. My only complaints are this…..it is the Atlantic Ocean and there are days when seaweed is abundant, but also days when it isn’t. The food is mostly average, so if you are looking for a gastronomic ten, don’t go to Dreams. And despite drinking alcohol all day long, we never felt buzzed. Not sure how to explain that. But for me, I enjoyed the tasty drinks and wasn’t looking to be a fool, so it was ok. However, if you are looking to relax in a magnificent setting, be treated with care and respect by all, in a Uber clean and safe setting, at a ridiculously reasonable price…go to Dreams Royal Beach.

We were so thankful for our time in Punta Cana at Dreams Royal Beach. Staying “Preferred” was worth the bit of extra $ for the restaurant Seaside Grill for a sit down breakfast by the water front. Our amazing butler Billy went above and beyond to make sure the children and I had everything we needed and more. He had our room decorated one day while we were out as a surprise for my children! He also sent a lovely cake to our room as a last night gift! Nothing we asked was too much for Billy to assist with! Preferred was worth it just to have met such an amazing guy, thank you Billy! Our room was beautiful as described and had lovely amenities. Pack conditioner if you use it in your hair, it was not supplied. Shampoo and body wash as well as lotions and soaps are there for you, even incense! All the reviews spoke to the restaurant “Fusion” being a must, but I have to say, it was our least favorite! It was warmer in that restaurant than others (probably from the hibachi tables) and the food came out extremely delayed compared to the other restaurants on the property. We loved the Italian, seafood and buffet restaurants most. Do not fear weather app predictions! Checking weather before our trip created a bit of fear for me seeing storms every day. We never had more than a 5 min passing drizzle! It is HOT though! We loved going to the beach after 4pm and reading under the shade of the palm trees. There are several vendors allowed on the beach but a solid “no thank you” and avoided eye contact sent them on their way. You can barter with them for better prices on hair braiding and other sales. The lobby gift shop is VERY expensive! I would get souvenirs from the airport frankly, or the beach vendors. We traveled with kids and I highly recommend bring a sound machine! It is noisy on the beach and pool areas which is fun when you are participating but frustrating when you’re trying to fall asleep… Speaking of kids, my daughter had a ball at EXPLORERS CLUB! Thank you Candy and Wendy for everything! You two made this vacation so special for my 9 year old daughter! It was wonderful to have adult time too. Win win for everyone! Core Zone was awesome for the tween in our family, but a few games were down. PS4 are all in Spanish and cannot be reset so some struggle interpreting what needs to happen in a game. Air hockey was a HIT for the whole family! Thank you to bartender Jose, waiter Marcos with the best smile in the world, and thank you for coffee from Dolores and Victoria! Floats at the pool were awesome and unexpected! The grounds are stunning and the resort is the perfect size to have plenty or walking but not too big to get lost! We made memories for a lifetime! Excellent resort. The food was excellent from having the custom egg station for breakfast and four different restaurants for dinner. The tiramisu at the Italian restaurant was exceptional. The beach and property is exceptionally maintained and clean. Compared to surrounding beach the seaweed was always cleaned daily. The room service including tuckin service was amazing. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pools are clean and well maintained. The bars provide tasty drinks and the poolside burger and fries were a daily indulgence. I especially enjoyed tennis court lessons with Francis and Jonathan. They were there every day and helped us arrange a court everyday. Their lessons on Monday and Friday helped me go from being completely a novice to being able to play a friendly game of couples tennis. The snorkeling available from the beachside desk was worth the cost. Also, the available canoe and catamarans were also memorable and worth trying. I would definitely come again!

We stayed at the Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana for Spring Break and were very pleased with the resort and the service. Our family felt welcomed and well cared for from the time we arrived. We had a fantastic vacation. From Marcos and Jefry at the pool keeping us well hydrated to Carolina at Apéritifs keeping the kids happy with snacks. Ultimately, it was the hotel staff who made our vacation enjoyable.
The food at the restaurants was much better than at other resorts we've visited, but I'd stop short of calling it great. However, everyone in my family was able to find something they liked at each of the restaurants - quite a feat when traveling with children. The online menus at the restaurants indicated there was a kids menu, but none of the items were available when we tried ordering them. I will note that the staff went out of their way to find alternate options for the kids.
The only issue we encountered while at the resort was that for a few days our room was not serviced despite not being in the room from 8:30a to 4:30/5:00p. Ultimately, on some days they tried to service the room at 5:00/5:30p while we were showering and getting ready for dinner. While it wasn't a huge deal, it's always nice to come back to fresh towels and resupplied toiletries.
Ultimately, we enjoyed our time there and would return.

The best thing about this resort is the amazing staff that went above and beyond to make our family’s stay (group of 9) extremely enjoyable while it is not easy to make everyone in a large group happy the staff at Dreams Royal Beach made sure we were all having a good time. Luis who is a bell boy is definitely the MVP of our vacation,from the moment we stepped onto the resort grounds he was always there to help us with everything and constantly checking with us if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Thank you Luis you are Awesome!!!!! Jelfrin and his co-worker (sorry forgot his name) were amazing constantly bringing our family drinks to our pool all week long from morning to night, they bought us everything we requested from Tequilas and mojito’s to slushies and milkshakes for the kids. The rooms we had were all very nice,Mrs. Colasa did a wonderful job cleaning our room everyday and making sure it was well stocked. We ran into Raul at all the restaurants we went to he always welcomed us like we were family and made us laugh.As for the resort it self their were 3 pools and 1 kiddie pool they were all super clean and the water was fantastic to swim in all day . The beach is really beautiful and the staff works hard to keep it seaweed free. The buffet is a bit understaffed and the food options were a little limited but the food was really tasty. All the waiters and waitresses work really hard, My kids and I really enjoyed Migue’s freshly made omelettes and eggs.The nighly entertainment shows are good but we wish they lasted longer. The rock show was my favorite. Overall a wonderful resort that we will definitely be coming back to. Thank you Dreams for a wonderful stay!!!!

The entire resort was immaculate, and their attention to detail was noticed at every turn. During the pandemic, attention to cleanliness and sanitizing was beyond expectations, and adhered to every guideline. The staff and level of service is the highest I've experienced at any destination, domestic or international. Ambar and O'neil exceeded expectations behind the bar, and there are too many other specific staff members to list that were all exceptional. "Dark Chocolate" lead an entertainment group that always was engaging and fun to participate with. Even during "down: times, the resort clearly made every effort to provide a great amount of entertainment variety. With the exception of only a single meal, every dining experience was amazing. The hibachi grill is a must-experience, and the Tides beach front grill is always a sure thing during the day.

What a beautiful resort, the grounds were so quaint with the endless lazy river and countless bridges intertwined through everything. It's not very big but I really enjoyed walking through the property from beach to entrance each day to see all the beautiful and well maintained design. The service was excellent. Our butler Roberto was very helpful in getting us dinner reservations each night, and handling any little thing we needed in the rooms. My husband and I loved Ironely at the Preferred Club bar... she made the best passionfruit mojitos for us, so we would walk all the way from the beach down to see her! The food is all excellent, especially in the Italian Restaurant... loved the pizzas and everything else. The ladies who run the kids club are so gifted at what they do, Nicole, Candy and Luscio. My 5 year old daughter asked every day to go to Explorers Club and enjoyed staying there for several hours. They had such great programming, one day was a circus on the beach with a trapeze artist, the next day was a pirate party, the next day was a bubble party... just endless fun! We would definitely love to come back.

We celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary at Dreams Royal Beach. We booked two weeks before the trip and received very good value for the amount paid. We frequent all inclusive resorts and have been to many Caribbean islands and resorts over the last 20 years.
Standouts:
Staff—our vacation and anniversary were particularly special due to the above and beyond service provided by Marcelo, our butler/concierge, Yosnia, the evening bar waitress, bartenders Risel and Jelfrin at the Veranda bar, the pool bartenders Marcos and Christian, and Angel along with the rest of the staff at the preferred lunch at the Seaside Grill. Marcelo prepared a romantic bubble bath for us with rose petals and champagne. Marcelo helped us coordinate evening dining and a candlelight dinner. He checked on us every morning through WhatsApp and made sure he talked to us in person each day. Yosnia immediately prepared our drinks when she saw us as she knew our drink preferences. She kept them flowing during the various nightly shows and added her own flair to my wife’s drinks. The bartenders at the preferred club and the Veranda bar made high quality drinks and were very professional. Marcos brought our passion fruit mimosas each morning as he knew they were a favorite of ours. Christian took care of us at the pool. We ate many of our lunches at the preferred club lunch and the staff, including Angel, made us feel welcome like family when we dined.
Pools—we enjoyed all the pools and particularly noticed how clean they were. There were floats scattered around the pools and by the towel hut that you could use to relax and float around. If you are a pool person, you will enjoy this resort.
Beach—we enjoyed the beach and beach bar service. We mainly used the preferred club beach which was quiet most of the time. We loved our long walks both directions on the beach as well.
Disappointments:
Ocean Water—we were mostly disappointed with the ocean water due to sorghum grass. While people did go into the water and seemed to enjoy it, we weren’t brave enough. Obviously this isn’t any fault if the resort and they worked hard during the week to contain the seaweed. In fact, the conditions were much worse at the neighboring resort beaches. This situation also impacted water sports as we normally use the hobie, kayak and paddle boards.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a very relaxing week.

We stayed for 10 days from Jan 4-14,2023. We booked through Air Canada Vacations and stayed in the Preferred Section. I think the preferred was worth it. We were travelling with 1 small child and an baby and having the preferred has a butler/concierge who was constantly checking in on us and would help us with any and every need that we had. Roberto, was our butler and he was amazing. Extremely helpful and immediately responsive, he did everything to ensure we had a spectacular vacation. We had 2 other families travelling with us who also had Roberto, and they were also very pleased. We rented the cabanas for a couple of days and it was well worth the cost, especially with the young kids. JD <Juan David> was our server on every occasion when we had the cabanas and he was also amazing. Always made sure we had drinks and food and snacks. The kids loved him.
The beach was absolutely beautiful and the water blue and clean. There was some seaweed on our first 3 days but they were constantly cleaning it up. For 5 or 6 days there was absolutely no seaweed in the water or beach from all the cleaning.
The hotel was great, the rooms were clean, and the a la crate restaurants were a strong 8/10 for an all inclusive resort. The buffet was decent but it is small and the variety was a tad lacking compared to other resort buffets that I’ve been too, but you won’t go hungry. Another bonus of the preferred was that you could have breakfast and lunch at the seaside grill, and they had amazing options when the buffet was feeling a bit lacking.
The nightly shows were awesome. The kids loved the kids clubs, they only went there 2 days, but did the “mini-disco” every night.
The best thing about this resort is the staff. They are all truly amazing and friendly.

Definitely take 1 and 5 and 10 I would tip the people taking your bags ,people cleaning your room,and find a bartender you like and tip them so they make your drinks good. The liquor selection is ok not great
They have whiskey the preferred bar has a better selection of liquor you should big liquor from the duty free in Canada if you want that whiskey.
They have a lazy river but the resort doesn’t have the tubes in them I saw people just walking in them or had there personal floats they purchased.
"If you have very young kids then stay close to the beach so to have easy access to the rooms. Otherwise there is a quiet preferred section away from the main area."
